  1. Nerwen, DEFINITELY. She'd make the perfect antithesis to Guts as a veteran. I certainly couldn't see Haldor ever becoming a veteran, it isn't in his nature. Skovgaard would always want to be the man on the front line, working hard and fighting the same fight over and over in service of the organisation. It's because of this that he'll have to die at some point, likely a heroic sacrifice or going out with a bang. A suicide mission or betrayal would work nicely also. Thoughts?
  2. I'm not sure that would be the most fitting selection. Apart from Nyx, Galen and Rufindel (obviously), the original group has done little work for Heroica, important or otherwise. Yes, they tested the pilot quest, but there are many other heroes who've left a far more significant impact on Eubric and the organisation despite not being the first. For example, Guts strikes me as more vital to Heroica history than say, Shadina, who made but one post in the hall. Just my opinion, as always.
  3. Am I the only one who doesn't have these problems? That explains a lot about his durability, and unhelpfulness. Snaked again.
  4. I wouldn't bet on it, not since Althior got snarked to death...
  5. Haldor puts across an arm to stay Jeaux' wooden hand. "Save your potion, Jeaux, I'll fix you up just fine. Alright folks, start to wrap things up." The nord steps back and heals the automaton from a safe distance. Alan, spurred on by recent success, moves on to strike Spitobastard C from the front row. Battle Order: Tarn Benji Heckz Haldor Jeaux Alan Bors
  6. Ach, to be honest it's a good thing that Haldor won't be able to go on it. Don't want him getting any more girls pregnant than necessary!
  7. I'd be pretty interested in the Heavy Flail if Atramor would be willing to trade; I doubt I'll have much gold by the time our characters meet.
  8. "I don't want any man going down, Heckz, hold still." Haldor kicks away the nearest Spitobastard and prepares to heal Heckz. Alan creeps around behind the group again to pounce on Spitobastard A, from the front row. Battle Order: Tarn Benji Jeaux Haldor Heckz Alan Bors
  9. Don't forget that we possess the single largest topic on this whole board. I feel as though I've spent a large portion of my life here in this one thread.
  10. Haldors jumps around to tackle Spitobastard E from the front row. Alan runs behind in his wake, preparing to whip Spitobastard C from the front row too. Battle Order: Tarn Benji Jeaux Heckz Alan Bors Haldor
  11. "Unless anyone wants seeing to, let's keep on with it." Haldor swings again for Spitobastard D from the front row. Alan, attempting to use his companions' overt assualts as cover, sneaks up to attack Spitobastard C from the front row too. Battle Order: Tarn Benji Jeaux Heckz Alan Bors Haldor
  12. Haldor chases after Spitobastard D, preparing to attack it when he is close enough. Front row. "Ha, it's gonna take more than that to get rid of me!" Alan follows suit, flailing his weapon in the general direction of Spitobastard A. Also front row. Battle Order: Tarn Benji Jeaux Heckz Alan Bors Haldor
  13. "You see, I'm a nord, I'm allowed to swear. Either that or everyone's fed up of telling me not to." "Enough of the premonitions, already. Get your @rse back onto killing them lizards."
  14. Perhaps there is more to Haldor than meets the eye...
  15. Haldor walks out in front of Jeaux' loaded handcannon. "That's a sound plan, Carvenhall. Tarn, you up for a bit of rock-walling? Good, then. Nobody hit Spitobastard B, we can leave him up to Tarn's counterstrikes and save our shots for the tougher ones." He quickly dives out of the way before he's shot, and attacks Spitosaur D from the front row. Alan, nervous after the events of the last battle, jabs lightly at Spitosaur C from the front row also. Battle Order: Tarn Benji Jeaux Heckz Alan Bors Haldor
  16. "Time we consider our options. Firstly, we've already tried to convince or trick this beast into coming away, and it didn't work, so that's that. The only other thing we can really do is to just take him now before every other critter on the island comes up. Follow up behind me." Haldor unhitches his axe and creeps very slowly towards the Spitosaur. When he draws close, he prepares to attack. "Look over there beastie, it's a double rainbow!" The nord points off in some random direction before delivering a sharp kick to the creature's kneecap. BATTLE ENGAGED!!!
  17. I'm afraid this is the same with me also. It's not that I don't care, or that it isn't well written but... I barely know who half of the NPCs are or what they're talking about most of the time. To be honest, I rarely read through huge internal soliloquies unless they're important to me, my character or universe that interests me.
  18. "Glad to hear it. We're taking this lizard no matter what it says." The nord raised an eyebrow. "I have no idea what you're talking about. Are you sure you're sane?" He then turns to Jeaux. "Ask it how many there are of it nearby, and how close. Then we can decide it its worth taking or whether we have to pull a trick."
  19. Haldor turned to Tarn. "I've learnt that arguing over the morality of a job doesn't usually end well for all involved. If you feel that what this mission is wrong, then why'd you come here in the first place? It was clear from the first note that we'd be puttting animals back in cages, so that's what we're gonna do."
  20. Haldor grasped Heckz' wrist to stop his painting and pulled him away. "Jeaux, tell him something for me -don't sound particularly nice, but we've got to get him back one way or another- he either walks back with us, or we use force to make him walk back. There's six of us, but only one of him. I hate talking lizards, I thought they were supposed to be thick."
  21. My natural respite should heal me. "I think you're forgetting that I was a cleric before shaman. Save your brews, I'll fix you all up." Haldor heals Benji, Jeaux, Heckz, Alan and Bors in quick succession. "Good work, team, you all dealt with those quite effectively. Let's try and keep the guides alive next time, perhaps? I think we'll be ready to move out again soon, once everyone else is happy to do so." Loot! Potion - Heckz Smelling Salts - Haldor Venoms - Tarn and Jeaux Bone - Jeaux Water Bomb - Benji
  22. Haldor shakes the frog from his arm and prepares to continue attacking. "Gonna take more than that to stop me. Tarn, you look pretty bad, you hurt? Come on comrade, stay on your feet." The nord doesn't wish to lose another man so soon, and so steps back to heal Tarn Valco. Alan peers out from his hiding place in the bush, and elects to stay put." Battle order: Tarn Benji Jeux Heckz Alan Haldor
  23. Haldor tried not to stop as Bors collapsed to the ground. He could be healed later, but now there were frogs to kill. "Let's finish them off! I'll handle Frog F, front row." Alan stands in shock at Bor's hunched form. Battle order: Tarn Benji Jeux Heckz Benji Alan Haldor
  24. It's a shame that such a good idea from a formerly very active player has to go to waste. I really think it would be a great idea to pick the family up and continue their story. I would do it myself but... well, I can't.
  25. Kinda disturbed that I'm monopolising this topic, but I couldn't resist. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nthc0Xwy-xU This also. Very much so.
