Heroica RPG - Quest#3: The Missing Matriarch
Quarryman replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
"I think we should help the nice High Conjurator locate and rescue his other family members." -
Ouch, losing Stanislav hurts, but at least we did get a scum yesterday. However, there is no time for mourning now, we need to keep going. We can mourn our dead once we've taken back the town. Did he tell you anything about why he was 100% certain of these two?

Heroica RPG - Quest#3: The Missing Matriarch

"Okay great leader, I'll be in the back row casting a Darkness spell. (at the armchair Altair, obviously)" -
Heroica RPG - Quest#3: The Missing Matriarch

"Interesting, what book was this that she confiscated?" "And on another note, could you shed some light on the nature of Chesterine's 'incident'?" -
Heroica RPG - Quest#3: The Missing Matriarch
Quarryman replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
After remaining silent while her companions questioned the mages Namyrra spoke for the first time. "High Conjurator, is the head of your family always a matriarch, i.e. a woman? Or can it be a patriarch as well? And assuming we don't find her, who will become the new head of the family?" "Also, can you remember any incidents lately where the matriarch overruled someone?" -
Seems my ability to talk today is rather limited due to messed up internet connection at the moment, so I'll be brief. Vote: Donil (Waterbrick Down) I'll try to keep track of the rest of the Day's discussion so I can unvote and vote for someone else if it's needed.

Heroica RPG - Quest#3: The Missing Matriarch
Quarryman replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Namyrra stands silently at the back, with head politely bowed waiting for Cronk and Nyx to negotiate the entering of the manor. -
Namyrra rised from her meditation, she was as prepared for the coming quest as she would ever be, and made her way over to her quest leader Nyx. Who seemed to be surprisingly capable and experienced despite her young years. "Greetings leader, I'm ready to leave on our quest whenever everyone else is."

Well, this is all a mess, I'll need some more time to go over what people have been saying before placing a vote. But it's great to see that the poisoner (whoever that person is aligned with, if any) took out a scum for us, thanks a lot poisoner.

Good thing there isn't a "supply and demand" mechanism in play for the marketplace, else I'd imagine the price of bedrolls would have gone up a lot by now
-
Ah, nice, thank you I was really unsure about how large I should make my avatar pic, so I ended up making it a bit big.

This doesn't make much sense. Is your character a human or an elf (elven)? Humans and elves are separate races, you can't be both. (unless you're a half-elf, but then your race would have to say "half-elf", not both "human" and "elven"). Seeing as you have put 194 years old as your age I'd say that it seems most likely that your character is an elf, humans rarely become that old. Also a bit confused about your class Warrior, but as you put your base health as 10 I guess you meant it to say Knight?

And now chances for a conviction are looking really slim, so I guess tonight we'll find out how bad the penalty for not reaching a conviction is.. can't say I'm looking forward to it.

Namyrra looked up from her scroll and noticed the annoying little imp trying to get her attention. With a sigh she put away her scroll and mentally prepared for some unnecessary social interaction with a youngling. "In Fenario it is dark, always dark. I don't think a youngling like you who are still afraid of the Night would survive there for very long."

Well, I could agree with voting for Barbara, but it's getting late, and I need to take a nap soon, and splitting the vote between Barbara and Petr will not do us any good either. So for now my stands. If the situation changes during my nap I'll reconsider it, pretty sure I'll be awake again before the Day is over.

Again, great work! I'm sitting here laughing at all the cleverness you've put into the Marketplace, well done! And one question that occured to me now, is it possible to merge a weapon with more than one elemental gem? And will the effects then stack, or will the new gem replace the old?

Silently sitting alone in the corner Namyrra for the umpteenth time today felt grateful for the Fenarian elders who insisted on the acolytes spending 256 years learning to be patient, clearly the training was necessary to be able to live among the younger races for any period of time. But now she felt the time had come for her to act. Carefully she stood and made her way to the quest board, before very deliberately putting down her name next to Quest 3: The Missing Matriarch, after which she returned to her corner to continue studying the scrolls of Ares the All-father, master of magic and patron of Fenarian mages.

Feel like I've done my part to remedy that at least.

Namyrra reluctantly entered Heroica Hall. She didn't particularly enjoy being among the short-lived hot-tempered inhabitants of lands of the cursed Day-star, and longed for her quiet and dark homeland of Fenario, the land of eternal Night. But unfortunately her training to become a shadowbinder required her to spend 128 years outside Fenario to work with and learn from the other peoples. And thus she had come to Eubric to join Heroica as a mage. Namyrra Uq, Level 1 Mage 1337 years old female Fenarian Power: 4, Health: 5/5, / Ether: 5/5 Inventory: bone-staff (WP: 3), potion, Amethyst gem, 10 pieces of gold.

Exactly what I'm thinking as well. Vote: Petr (Zepher) I could be persuaded to unvote if Petr shows up with a proper explanation for his strange and confusing behaviour, but for now I believe we're better off without him.
-
I'd be greatly surprised if someone came out openly with something they learned during the Night seeing as that would only serve to paint a big fat target on their back for the scum to hit the coming Night. And I'm sorry for being late with participating in today's circlejerk, but I was busy with paperwork at the police station.

Baritones 3 Confirmation and Discussion thread
Quarryman replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Day 6? Surely you mean Day 1? Awesome conclusion, I think you should host all mafia games in the future so they all get awesome conclusions. -
Circle-jerk of nonsense: after referring to Day 1 of Hinckley's mafia game Baritones 3 as "circlejerking of nonsense". Pretty sure this one came from Mr. Hinck himself.
-
Okay, in the interest of hopefully managing to get a conviction today: Unvote: Petr (Zepher). Vote: Benji (Big Cam).
-
Now, I've been quiet for a while, and I guess this makes me look suspicious, but I just didn't feel like it was worthwhile to participate in this circlejerking of nonsense and back-and-forth "discussions". So for the time being I'll just throw a random stone at someone who's already been voted for, and spinning this empty vodka bottle I found ended up pointing at Petr. Vote: Petr (Zepher). Nothing against you son, I guess you're as likely or unlikely to be scum as everyone else at the moment, but if we don't accept that we'll have to make some tough choices we'll never get through this alive, then the mob(s) (I have no reason to believe whether there is one or several mobs, though what Agent Sky told Ivan might be read as there are several) will kill us one by one. Yes, you may laugh at my lack of reasoning, because frankly, I don't have much of it at the moment. But I fear the penalty will be bad for us, so I'm damn well not going to sit here and refuse to vote.
