Hello and welcome to EB :-) I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here :-)

I'm pretty sure he's not ;-) (haven't asked though..) If you look at this detail shot, you can see that is exactly what he has done. Or rather, clear 2x1 bricks with white plates in between, SNOTed on top of white tiles, and I guess they are then fastened to the wall on the sides somehow. Btw to quote Matija, fastening the windows was a "PITA" (strangely I couldn't find a definition of that acronym, but I'm sure most of you know what it means ;-))

Yay! Finally a Grunts episode that fits on my screen! :-P And it's funny too! :-D ..and I just have to ask, are you familiar with Irregular Webcomic? That guy makes great comics with LEGO (and some other stuff, like RPG miniatures).
-
..and here I was just about to paste you a link to cheap plane tickets to Billund.. :-( I guess it's exams getting in the way? Things have changed for me too though, might be an exam gets in the way, but I think I'll be able to dodge ;-) (it does help a lot to be able to choose which courses to take, which basically means being able to choose when to have exams ;-))

Neat tanks :-) Looks like they carry quite a bit of punch *wub* Perhaps the discipline in the Mulberry Defence Forces is very relaxed? :-P

It's a very impressive building, I'm looking forward to seeing it IRB (in real bricks ;-)). I guess the first opportunity to seeing live it will be at Legoworld Oslo in May, as it's made by Brikkelauget member Matija Puzar.

Hello and welcome :-) Always good to see another Norwegian around here :-)

Thanks for the review, and the closeups brickbitz :-) Just one question, are the new doors symmetrical? So they can be fit inside the frames both ways? If they are we can use two of the transparent ones next to each other, something I think would look pretty good :-)

Funny enough, but still too big. And I guess I'm not the only one here with a resolution of 1024x768.. The comic strip itself is pretty much the right size, but I think you waste too much space by having the large logo and your signature on the left. So here's my suggestions to make it more reader friendly: a) move the logo and the signature b) scale down the logo I took the liberty of doing a quick modification of this strip, which in my opinion works better: (modifications done on a Thinkpad X61s, without a proper mouse ;-))

Ruler: King Quarryman I City name: Ryghia City Location: Ryghia City is the capital of Ryghialand, which lies on a narrow strip of fertile land between a large ocean and a mountain range. On the other side of the mountain range lies a large desert, which is the cause of a conflict with an enemy nation we so far haven't been able to identify. We have always been at war with them though. *skull* Population: about 20, but steadily growing Goverment: Monarchy (military dictatorship really) Since: 2007 Website: working on it.. I do have some problems providing pictures of my "city" at the moment, due to having gone home from university for Christmas. So I'm afraid I won't be able to perform any twinning ceremonies before January :-( But since I got some ideas for name and story etc yesterday (it's 06:33 at the time of writing, and I'm going to spend the day traveling (again)) I decided to add my name to the list of twinable cities. By the way, the name "Ryghialand" comes from "Ryghialande", which is the name of the place I grew up as it was written in the 1350s, and my family has lived there since at least late 17th century. (I just felt like telling you a bit about myself as well :-$)

Welcome to EB Xzanfr :-) Enjoy your stay :-)

Welcome back, pirate queen Izzy :-) And congratulations with the little pirate princess :-)

They are also planning on doing a similar event in Oslo, Norway, May 1st to 4th. Personally I'd love to go to both, but we'll see. At least I'm going to the one in Oslo, would be sacrilege to miss it ;-) I am a bit worried about having them so close in both distance and time though..
-
Unless something really nasty turns up (like the Earth being demolished to make way for a hyperspatial express route) I'll be there. Event on! X-D

Velkommen! Always good to see another Norwegian around here :-) And since you are Norwegian, may I suggest checking out Brikkelauget as well? :-)
-
Welcome :-)
-
Same as it is here :-) (and more or less everywhere else ;-))
-
Thanks :-) (though I managed to find out for myself, and actually was in the process of editing my previous post ;-))
-
Amazing work *wub* Don't really have a favourite (yet), just one question; what torso did you use for Douglas MacArthur?
-
Velkommen! (that's "welcome" in Norwegian for the rest of you ;-)) ..and I was wondering why UniqueBuilder didn't mention Brikkelauget, but it seems you're already there ;-)
-
And if it's a tie, does that mean we get both jipay in a gay pride T-shirt and hinckley in a pink halter top that says "I'm a naughty girl!" at the next EB event? X-D (not likely to happen, but I can dream, can't I? ;-)) Good luck to both of you, making something good from 50 pieces sounds like serious pain ;-)

A Hard Day's Fight - INTERACTIVE!
Quarryman replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The knight must die! (if only because I don't like happy endings ;-)) And it's a superb vig :-) -
Seems like I haven't been paying enough attention to this particular subforum lately.. :-$ Anyway, I like the ship, reminds me a lot of the ships in Warcraft II, which is a good thing. Though, many things about this Castle theme reminds me of Warcraft ;-) Good to see a ship with a proper length, the skellie ship is way too short. As for the new cage door I just wonder if it will also be used for the new police station, since I guess they will need some cells too.. And something I haven't seen anyone else commenting, isn't that slope on the top of the bow a new piece? 1x4 18degree-slope? Guess that could be useful for something.. I'm pretty sure the reason to use a skull design is to emphasize that the Lucy&George faction (thanks Asuka ;-)) is allied to the Skellies.

Happy Birthday! :-)
