  1. Blufiji's build for the Resistance should be here (seeing that there are so many Black Spire builds):
  2. This is an excellent build! Wow, just wow. The exterior looks great, with nicely detailed stone walls and well-executed round towers, and the scenery complements it well. I was struck by the various different hues of green that you used and how it made the grassy area just that much better-looking than if it were all one color. The waterfall, too is nice, if a bit too regular and uniform for my taste. I can see why Kai's minichallenge build got taken apart so quickly... My favorite part, however, as others have said, is the interior, and specifically the spiral staircase. That is the best. For such a small space inside you sure made the castle seem spacious and city-like. Wonderful build.
  3. This is a nice little build, with many great details. The wall works surprisingly well, given the amount of texturing, and even the multiple colors convincingly convey the idea of weathered stone--as I've never seen real stone all of a single uniform grey color. My favorite part is probably your archery target, though, but the smoke is also very well done. Good work!
  4. Thank you, LD! I am glad you have noticed the photography--it is still not professional quality, but at least it is no longer detracting from my builds, which is a happy medium where I can stay for a while (since a nicer camera is low on the list of priorities).
  5. Very nice wood and stone palisade! The tower itself looks great, and the irregular base, with the stone and snow layers, is fantastic. My one minor, and I mean minor, quibble is that the three decorative stones (1x2 tiles) over the window and door openings do not match. Other than that, it looks splendid. As a side note, I am glad you are using the same banner style throughout your AoM builds; it gives a nice sense of a matched set of builds.
  6. Excellent giant! As the others have said, he is just magnificent! The landscape is great, too, with the rockwork and stream. The skunk is a nice detail, too, but the giant (appropriately) steals the scene.
  7. Great roof, great walls, and great swamp! I love the bright green swamp water. The best part, however, is the door, in my opinion, because those capes just look perfect there.
  8. The click-hinge side pods look very nice. You've created an appropriately Nocturnian atmosphere. Well done!
  9. Very nicely done! The action looks great, especially the very unfortunate impaled soldier. The right-at-the-moment posing is superb. Good job.
  10. Looks great! I love the stairs and the skull, as it creates a very nice shrine appearance. The roof also looks impressive. Good job.
  11. I love the rock by the swamp the best of everything, but the whole thing looks splendid. Great posing, great trees, great landscape. Excellent work!
  12. Very nice! Delightfully simple and yet deadly sinister. It looks appropriately Nocturnian. I think it would look better if the dark red were tiles instead of plates to seem more like a pool (of blood, red algae, or lava, or something else entirely), but it looks good this way too.
  13. Great rocks, and I love the skulls on the spears. Very sinister indeed! Nicely done.
  14. Lovely build! The crossbeams are excellent and I love the tower. And I am very glad that the additional practice has allowed your archers to finally hit something!
  15. I really like that round tower! Good work. As for the rest, due to your camera situation, it is hard to say since I cannot see many details clearly. But it looks good from what I can see.
  16. Bummer about the camera, but I love the map built into the table. This is a great council scene. Well done!
  17. Thanks, LJ! I am glad you noticed the hair--it looks remarkably like the cooked strands of pumpkin, in my opinion. Thanks! The lime green river was the first part of the build I made, and the rest, so to speak, flowed from there. Thanks, SK! Split levels allow for more detail to be seen and appreciated, since some things do not get lost behind others. And the window was one of my favorite parts, too. I am glad you looked, Narbilu, and even more pleased you liked it. Thanks, Titus! I am not sure I know of your cyclops/spider crossover, but anything is possible... Thanks for watching, En_zoo! Witches don't need flour or butter if they do not want it, obviously... Perhaps the fireweed stalks replicate part of it, held together by the powdered dragon horn? But mostly it is just magic. She is a witch, after all. The staff is useful for stirring, and she loves nothing more than cutting things to bits with her spells. I'm glad you like the build, though!
  18. Wow, there are many great details in this build! The tiled courtyard looks great, especially the small bits of cheese-slope mosaic. I love the tentacled monster, too. I have two critiques: first, I think I would prefer to see some stranger types of plants in the labyrinth than those, which seem too, well, normal; second, while I love the fact that you made an interior to the semi-ruined house, I dislike the studs at the top when you have everything else so nicely tiled. I think it would have looked better with tiles, but with loose bricks and such strewn about to indicate ruin. I say that just because it sticks out amongst the rest. That being said, the build is great. The buildings are nicely detailed with stones and doors and windows, the action is well-placed and interesting, and the tentacles are believable. Keep up the good work!
  19. That is a great stone giant there! The idea of a stone giant wearing a castle as armor is fantastic indeed (and very well-executed, too). My only critique is that the landscape seems a bit underwhelming compared to the giant himself, and I could wish for some more texture, or elevation, or something to bring that up to the level of detail and excellence that the giant displays. Overall, though, a good build!
  20. I know one of them is found in this set (I have it from here, at least): http://brickset.com/sets/1624-1/King-s-Archer Where SK got them I do not know.
  21. Thank you! I must say that I was inspired in part by your own pie build. We shall see what kind of bribery I can conjure up for part C. Competition makes everyone better, I think. I hope you can surpass this build, Maestro! Thank you, BC! I did not fully intend that for the staircase, but am not displeased with the result. I have enough slopes that I could probably do a better job of it, if I were trying to. Thank you! I needed something more than just an orc or something common...
  22. For those of you who have not seen, I have three builds entered into the Nocturnus Minichallenges, and hopefully two more entries on the way to complete the quinfecta: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/140457-nocturnus-minichallenge-i-crossing-the-sayn-gwinos-river/ http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/140196-nocturnus-minichallenge-ii-at-the-shrine-of-kanohau/ http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/140818-nocturnus-minichallenge-iiib-the-pies-of-the-spiderwitch/
  23. My entry for Part B of this Minichallenge is up. Enjoy!
