  1. I agree that it would be redundant, but if you have the money to buy the UCS, you are likely the type of person who is going to buy all the HP sets regardless. If you can't afford the UCS, the Great Hall set has real appeal. Also, why would the press release specifically say it connects to the whomping willow, but not mention the UCS. Neither set has been confirmed by Lego, so it isn't like they were only revealing information about known sets.
  2. Purely a guess on my part, but I would imagine it to be something in line with the Disney Castle and Joker Manor (only about twice as big). A very well done one sided representation of Hogwarts, but when you turn it around you get a bunch of mini scenes from the movies. According to the press release from the Great Hall, it is designed to connect to the Whomping Willow I would be extremely disappointed if the great hall connects, as it would make the scale for the tower way too small for $570.
  3. They were rather obnoxious, but I think that plays well into the way the robin character was in the movie. There are 2 new glasses pieces being released later this year with the create your own brickhead set.
  4. they are available separately.
  5. Just wanted to say it is very generous of you to take the one to answer questions in a forum like that. I have always enjoyed watching the designer videos Lego puts out but always thought it would be cool if they would do it on a Facebook live forum or something and allow for the opportunity to ask questions. Even if they only answered a few questions, much like you have taken the time to do here, it would be a fun experience to have that interaction and learn more about the process. Great job on the set and for being so kind with your time. And just because I’m curious, and don’t expect an answer, as you could be doing this forever :), but what happened to Fawkes. He is in the nyc model, listed in the press release, but not shown in the release. Is it the same as the nyc model or is it being redone and that is why we didn’t see it in the press release. Thanks again for hanging out here with us!!!!
  6. So in the pictures I’ve seen from the NY toy fair, Fawkes is brick built (and looks atrocious). There are also several other differences between those pictures and the images that were released by Lego yesterday. From what I’ve gathered, the press release is the most recent version. Could that then mean that they brick built Fawkes is being replaced with a new design, possibly a new mold, or even the one from the original chamber of secrets? I certainly hope so!!
  7. It occurede in the Scarecrow Special Delivery, 70910, from the Lego Batman Movie series. It cam with two single sided faces for the security guard, as the hat wouldn't cover the back side of his head.
  8. Just bought the Joker Manor a couple weeks ago. Have been putting in a little time over the last few nights. 5.5 hours in and about half way through. It is a great build. Definitely worth the money. I’m just need the ultimate batmobile polybag to complete my collection.
  9. Has anyone in the us found the ultimate batmobile polybag. I've seen people with them on Facebook but they all appear to be overseas?
  10. It will most likely go on sale sometime after I buy it. That seems to be the way it always works out
  11. I now have all but the of the new wave and all the CMFs. Really like most of the CMFs. Not all that excited about the twins, Hugo, or vacation Alfred. Really like vacation joker and robin, and bat fan batgirl Also not a big fan of the dune buggy. Needs another minifig or two to make it worth the $19.99 price tag. $14.99 would have been more reasonable. The egghead mech was a fun build, condiment king is the best part of that set. JL party is only redeemed by the minifigs. Harley set is a good buy too since I got it online from Walmart for $40 don’t know that $50 would have been worth it love the gentleman ghost and crazy quilt another batgirl, meh, and Harley is ok, not my favorite variant. the truck is fun, the buildings are ok could have done without them and got another bat vehicle or something to go along with it, but they look good with the jewelry store from the first wave Now just need to get joker manor and I will have all the batman movie sets. Can’t wait!!!
  12. Just in case you missed the disco bat/clown bat polybag, it is going to be a free with purchase of the joker manor.
  13. I wish the box of bat merch had some bat merch to go along with it. Other than that, I can't wait to pick this set up, hopefully at an early release date for VIPs
  14. Keychains correct? Not a stand alone minifigure
  15. I've been fighting file size for an hour so you can see comparison pictures here... Sorry mods but I can not get a picture to less than .01MB
  16. You just wanting to see it for size reference or what are you wanting to compare?
  17. The leaked catalog pics from a few days ago specified that the sets would drive collectability of the new Lego batman collectible minifigure series.
  18. Thanks. I was going through them in my head and had a mental block.
  19. Is it just me, or is there no batman in the Harley cannon set or the justice league set. It seems odd that two sets would not include batman as there has only been one set I can recall up til now that doesn't have batman (cat woman cycle).
  20. Isn't there also a D2C set or is one of these sets it?
  21. Reggae Bat is a little disappointing. It's essentially robin with a cowl. I'll still buy the set and be happy with another suit, but would have preferred something different.
  22. Do we have any idea what the D2C is?
  23. Most of the sets for the movie (specifically villain cars, and a few bat vehicles) didn't have a whole lot more screen time and they got $20-70 sets!! Also, picked up ultimate bat mobile at my local Walmart on clearance for $99
