  1. Nintendo is terrible about it. A couple years ago they made retro Nintendo’s. They sold them for $60 and the most I ever heard about any single store around me getting was 10. They were selling on he secondhand market for $200 the day they were released. Many like myself, never got one (I would have for retail if I could have ever found one). The thing I don’t get is if Nintendo is intentionally doing this, why would they sell them for $60 when there was clearly a supply demand situation that warranted a much higher retail price. Their strategy, while allowing them to sell out, kept them from maximizing there potential income. Why not retail them for $150. The same goes with the CMF. If lego wants to maximize their profits why not make it so that the chase figure is sold retail for a higher price?
  2. Interesting. Maybe it is a bigger deal outside of where I live, but out side of secondhand resellers, I’ve never seen a store selling the chase figure (I.e Mr Gold, police officer) for anything other than MSRP.
  3. Do they? I have only bought 16 instead of 17. I will only buy the 17th when I finally find a police officer
  4. I don't see how things like the CMF police officer benefit Lego. It is not like the benefit from the people selling them at $30 on the secondary market. There is no scenario that I see where limited releases do anything for Lego's bottom line, it only hurts them. Of course I'm no marketing/business expert, but if there is high demand for an item, meet that demand. If you are creating an artificial demand for a product by making it limited, then capitalize on it by making the price comparable to the demand.
  5. Never had any problems doing it at Wal-Mart, Target, or a Lego store. Lego Store employees will sometimes help if the store isn't busy!
  6. Same here. I haven’t seen it anywhere. The only ones available on bricklink are outside the US and there is only 4 or 5 available. Must have been very limited release.
  7. There is a picture of it up on instagram. It’s not letting me attach a pic or I would. Michael_bricks_vol.7
  8. This is great news. Has anyone found the newly released brickheadz anywhere?
  9. I’m sure that’s what the designers had in mind. I was thinking of that but opted to just leave them off for now.
  10. Has anyone built the whomping willow set? How did you get the flower stems to stay in the tree?
  11. according to amazon, the height and length are the same, but the depth of the box is about an inch less
  12. Anybody know how long t takes before Lego allows amazon to start selling. I got a $50 gift card I need to spend.
  13. What all brickheadz were supposed to release today? Frozen, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Little Mermaid, and Ghostbusters? Is that all or is there more?
  14. Couldn’t find them at any targets in Kansas. Funny they say July 8 when they are advertised in their weekly ad today
  15. No! You will regret it. I sold off a black pearl and queen annes revenge and I definitely wish I never would have. Find odd jobs you can do for people in your neighborhood, or make something to sell. I’ve been making display frames for minifigures and doing miscelanous jobs (hanging Christmas lights, handyman jobs) to fuming my Lego habit. You get to help others and get what you want without giving up parts of your collection.
  16. Unfortunately, none of them are showing up as in stock on brickseek in my area. Is anyone else seeing them available yet?
  17. They are all posted on Target's website, but since its Friday and I'm in a good mood, I went ahead and looked them all up for you!! 18. that's a Skyfall quote, so more evidence of the DB5
  19. Pics of Groot and rocket Brickheadz have just been released on Lego's twitter feed
  20. Is the $400 confirmed? I thought I had heard early on it was in the $550-600 range.
  21. Ignore
  22. According to brickfan, all sets are a Target exclusive for the month of July. Lego will also be selling them. No word on July sales outside of US.
  23. I’m excited for this set. If it just a car, I’ll be disappointed. I need a minifigure at least. As tobthe whole 007 is to mature discussion. Just as with the movies, it is the responsibility of the parents to determine what is and isn’t acceptable for their child. Why should Lego not make things that there is an interest in or that they feel wil be profitable, just because someone thinks it’s too mature. Don’t buy it if that’s how you feel.
