  1. Use this thread. :)
  2. Joker Manor which was a D2C released December 2017(November 15 for VIP members) was officially announced on September 26. SO i would assume around the same time fram, which means you won't know at the time of the first wave release. When you go to the Lego store to make your purchase, ask them for a free shipping code, then you can wait until the release and make up your mind, order online, redeem VIP, points and get free shipping. Saves a trip that way.
  3. You only earn points on what you actually pay for. So if you buy a $100 set and use $10 worth of VIP points you earn 90 vip points for that purchase. And not that I really care, but I'm sure others will get angry about the "off-topic" conversation, you might want to take future VIP related questions to a related message board.
  4. Maybe it’s that the batman Lego movie sets have made my expectations much higher for batman sets, but these new reveals are terrible. I will be passing on every one of them (unless I see the one with the dog deeply discounted).
  5. but still no sign of Fawkes who was mentioned as being in the set in the original press release?!?!?!
  6. call me whatever you want, I'm just tired of the laziness on this thread.
  7. LOL....took a whole 30 seconds to figure out. almost as long as it takes to ask someone else to do it for you
  8. or you could actually put some effort into it and see that it is about a 15% increase in the price. 34.99 to 39.99 is 14.2%, 59.99 to 69.99 is 16.6% 15% more than 79.99 is $91.99, so I would assume around 89.99
  9. Pettigrew is in the Howarts Express set, just in the form of Scabbers. :)
  10. Hogwarts express is a pleasant surprise. The quidditch set is nice to finally have all the schools represented. The whomping willow set focuses too much on the castle and not enough of the tree. Still love them all and they will all be immediate purchases!!
  11. Those are the best brickheadz yet!!
  12. I would rather the Diagon Alley be a series of smaller "modular" style buildings, Sell them for $50-100 and release one each wave. Then you can buy them as you see fit to create your own DA. An incomplete Diagon Alley would be much better than and incomplete Hogwarts. A large scale hogwarts would look odd if it was missing certain elements. I am still of the belief, and this is only my speculation, that the Hogwarts D@C will be similar to the style of the Disney Castle and the Joker Manor. A large full on facade with a back side that is open for "play" with little scenes from various movies.
  13. Just read in a link on the HP thread that 41621 is a two pack from fantastic beasts, Albus Dumbledore and Newt Scamander. https://www.brickfanatics.com/toys-r-us-exclusive-lego-sets-coming-to-mass-uk-retail/
  14. Also mentions a brickheadz two pack that is dumbledore and newt. Wonder if that is true?
  15. Is the brickheadz set a store exclusive? If so, where?
  16. I think the staying power of HP can't be compared to much other than Star Wars. Universal Studios has a large segment of its park dedicated to HP, the movies are on TV all the time. Those who grew up with HP are just now to the age where they have expendable income as well as are having kids who are getting close to the age that they can be introduced to the Wizarding World. You don't see that with LOTR or other movie franchises. If you want a barometer of the excitement around HP Lego, I think the best place to look is bricklink or other second hand market sales of the previous sets. The prices of the sets definitely point to a demand like no other. THe larger LOTR sets are still selling for average prices of 4.10 a brick where the HP sets are selling for well over $.20 cents per brick. ALl tha tsaid, I hope the HP line is around for a while with lots of large D2C sets, at least a Diagon Alley and Hogwarts Express/Kings Cross Station in addition to the rumored Hogwarts
  17. I've asked multiple times in multiple places, even emailed Lego and asked, and have yet to receive a response.
  18. https://www.lego.com/en-us/themes/harry-potter
  19. It’s on page one of this thread, very first post. Just click on then “reveal hidden contents”. It says: Build even bigger adventures and combine with 75953 Whomping Willow.
  20. Brickfan.com has photos of the incredible brickheadz up
  21. However, after reading the press release again it says combine the GH with the WW. Looking at the descriptions of 3 Lego batman movie sets that went together to make the power plant, they all say connect. You very well might be correct. Maybe I was to loosely defining the word combine.
  22. I think there is only 2. Something is up with the connection point on the tower. Unless there is a new 1x1 brick with the holes going each way through it, the connection piece is turned differently in both of the pictures.
  23. Per the press release, the GH connects to the Whomping Willow set in some way.
