There’s two factions in this forum who are completely split about castles at the moment. Those who feel that castles shouldn’t have like 1,500 bricks in 1x1 bricks and like 100 bricks for one section and those who feel that 1,500 bricks SHOULD be grand and magnificent like the Kingdoms Joust. This sneak preview was just that, looking at the set proved that it can be a huge castle with simple walls, details and hidden details that are yet to be seen, those towers although similar in design to the Creator in 3in1 set have the yellow and red banners floating in the background, i have a feeling the alternate builds we got from the creator set is how we would see the towers played out here and so far it’s what i’m seeing in the background for this Lion King’s Castle Homage. Although we do see the tower alternate build from the creator set next to the windmill from the village raid. We should be glad and rejoice, they might throw in the old school pine cone trees in this set! But I also spy new pieces. I know some like the whole decrepit look on castles with vines and tress, but I’m one of the few who like my castles brand new and shiny. I concur with NoOneOfImportance, LEGO is throwing us the dog bone and i’m taking a huge bite out of it. The hype is real, sooo worth the $350 for me. I have faith in LEGO, I mean common, they did not let us down in Barracuda Bay, one of the best Pirate designs and builds in years in $200 bucks, you really think they wouldn’t go all out for $350? Hahaha they will milk the nostalgia out of our wallets on this set and I’m all in! Not to mention I’m betting bricks they are still going all in on the VIP perks to let us buy older sets of their choosing and I’m hoping those castle, kingdoms and pirates is all part of it!!!

I don’t think it’s lackluster, it’s snip and bits, you can see the Kingdoms Joust, some Medieval Village, the Blacksmith set, the 3 in 1 creator and a bit of the new set but not everything of course although I’m like what I am seeing so far!!! Common peeps haha how could you not see that it’s the upcoming castle, the yellow and red flags from 6080 is prevalent in this new castle, obviously we are not being shown the real huge estate or the inside but that windmill is the same from the village raid. They mixed and match a lot of the recent castle sets for this ad.

I’m loving the look of the new castle, badadadaaaa I’m loving it!!!!

The only thing about the armor is that the old school helmets don’t fit the new horse heads, the more i think about this castle and it’s possibility, I’m curious, going back to kingdoms, the kingdoms joust set with a castle, throw in every set that came out like the tower lookouts, and a village raid you get 350$, that’s a lot of possibility and bricks considering how perfect kingdoms joust was at the time!

Sooooo all the good pieces I frequently order are just the “standard” lolol not Bestsellers. It’s easier to navigate honestly, you needed to live and breathe on PIB and BAP to see how easy it is now, it’s easier to search for parts by type, finally when I type mini head I can see all of the LEGO inventory in regards to wigs, heads and mini heads hahaha. I’m not loving the shipping estimates but so far it’s a bit easier I think… PS. Now that I know Pirate and Castle Minifigures ARE not bestsellers, why are some of them sold out lolol jk

I Have a question, anyone know what became of the VIP survey about the updated VIP rewards system? I was hoping it would be released this year with the chance to buy older sets, Quite frankly if we had that option I would be happy celebrating 90 years of lego since they mentioned they were thinking about this.

The box art I saw had 4 mini figs, there’s one on top of the sail, and another hidden by the wording. I think I’ll be buying the love and thunder set along with this one to mix and match building techniques

Honestly though, why couldn’t LEGO celebrate Castle, Space, Pirates and Bionicle’s with sets like the upcoming Lion Kings castle price throughout the year?(august 10th 2022-2023?).

Yikes!!! I bought my second ago last month for 99.99usd, it sucks about the price hike! But looking back at the 31120 medieval castle. Is it possible we will get a moulded Dragon? I’m highly curious wether they will go the fantasy or “kingdoms” route

I finally got my lego VIP coin sets(the display unit plus all the 5 coins) from shop.lego.com, i was procrastinating before the 60 days window to get them since i had to purchase something with it! Got lucky, 3 of my CMF were the ones I needed, love that bard!!!

350$ has room for colossal brick count, mini figures, animals, civilians, factions, all things considered the 3in1 creator priced at 99.99 is like 1,200 bricks, my mind can’t comprehend how epic this one would be!!!

I think this will just be a castle either ala Cinderellas castle or a decent sized one with standalone buildings, medieval villages and a ton of mini figures, I’m just so glad the animals won’t be brick built like the creator sets 🤣🤣

I’m loving it, we can still take solace that the space sets this year somewhat resemble old school space sets but at the end of the day I’m stocked at the fact that this might be a few thousand bricks in the making 😍😍

I like being proven totally wrong, I am salivating at the brick count of the upcoming Lion King’s Castle, finally a few thousand brick count set, I’m totally expecting a medieval village, castle and whatever decides to come our way I’m hoping that Minifigure count will be high and will continue to be high because of me purchasing more Minifigures from Pick a brick lololol I can’t wait for the reveal!!!

OOOMMMMGGGGGGG. I love you guys, been nice chatting with everyone but in this business rumors are far and niched, time to start selling toys i don’t need but $350 castle set is a day 1 purchase for me, thank goodness I sorted my lego sets in storage last year and placed them by themes together in boxes and replaced all my old reddish brown bricks, I CANNOT WAITTTT There’s a reason I was stocking up on Black Falcons!!!!

We got a Voltron, don’t know why an Optimus Prime figure wouldn’t be that far fetched, now the question is wether or not it will come with the trailer or just the Cab.

OMG middle of January orders barely getting shipped? Thank goodness I’m not much in a hurry to get the stuff I bought recently, then again I thought the shipping estimate warning was just a placeholder haha

The only castle I have missed so far is the Gryffindor’s Room promo from lego, I’m hoping they can let us buy more of these individually in the future!!! What sucks is that I already have all the HP sets and don’t feel like double dipping on the same old same old just for that set ahaha

The creator did had some good interior detailing butttt I meant that creator sets focus on the 1,000 piece count on which half of them are 1x1 studs, single bricks that adds up details that makes me wish for a 200USD creator set size. They are held back by their price range I think and LEGO wanting to keep their brick count to an extent down for them not focus that much on mini figures. Granted when I modded my castle I added desks, rooms, modified the throne room with a wooden door but at the end of the day i ended up buying a ton of black falcons mini figures, LEGO knows that we can now buy them separately and that is a blessing and a curse, I have close to 15 knights and a king now hahaha. We live in an age that we can buy set specific bricks, figures and accessories to expand our creator content, hell i did the same with pirate sets and the creator pirate ship because it’s easier to modify and expand on them. I just wish for more sets, in the long run LEGO is trying to get away with the fact that they want us to buy more of the same creator 3n1 set for the notion that we buy 1 of each build. I mean i bought 2 castles, 1 is unopened for the time being but still, if I wanted to build a bigger castle or a tower for the castle or more shops, the option will always be there haha

It was great, it took a while to notice the pirate theme but omgggg i was loving the hidden pirates and sets in the city layout lolol Makes me wonder because half of the sets in the displays are out of production and they must have used them in all the other discovery centers which leads me to believe that LEGO might be reissuing them in full scale i hope!!! No way they can get their hands on those sets as expensive as some of them are hahaha Taloncard!! I missed the adult night invite noooo hahahaha that looked freaking insane!!! X marks the spot hahaha

I’m hoping legoland is keeping up with the 90th anniversary because my discovery center is Pirate Themed this month 😍😍

I hated the creator castle for the fact that it’s in the 3in1 creator lineup, Creator is just brick counts over quantity and less mini figures…. When you compare a recent castle set versus the creator set, granted it looks great and the scale is awesome, the inside detailing leaves a lot to be desired.

I thought they got their fill with space with the currently inspired NASA lunar sets?? I’m all for Castle, Pirates or Space but I could had thought Bionicle topped the list quite frankly.

I thought Bionicle placed first? Space was the next line so highly doubt it will be anything Pirates or Castle.
