  1. Which is required if you want to powerslide the car going backwards...we should have reversible seats, like the ones found in some japanese trains
  2. Did the same thing too...which totally defeats the use of flash to protect the original PDF...I did make good use of screenpresso to avoid capturing any unwanted informations, thus making my screenshots very printer friendly. For those interested in buying the instructions for this MOC, they do look very professional...here's a big spoiler* / ** * don't ask me for any further screenshots, as I will not answer such requests : just by the plans and take some time to do the screenshots if you can't stand either Flash or MOCPlans...it took me about 1h to do so. ** MOCPlans should provide one or two sample pages to show the quality of what you're about to buy
  3. You could create a little script that inspects the DOM of the page at 5s intervals and sets off a very loud alarm when it shows
  4. 299,99€ for France...and is not for 0-3 sad onions :D
  5. Concerning the gearbox of the the Porsche, is that just me or its design seems somewhat very similar to that of Pvdb's Koenigsegg One:1 ?
  6. To me, they are many reasons for this feature not being included in this set : the Porsche IP doesn't come cheap (expect something like 30-50€ / set) the linkage of the paddle to the actual gearbox might have interfered with such contraption (look how intricate the underside of the Koenigsegg One:1 MOC is) the construction of the set is modular...which adds even more complexity to the equation By the way, I was told at "Joué Club" (a french competitor for toys"r"us) that the retail price of the Porsche will be 279€ for France on august 1st.
  7. This system could not be reproduced easily as its not entirely mechanical : at low-speed, the rear wheels steers in the opposite direction to that of the front wheels at high-speed, the rear wheels steers in the same direction to that of the front wheels Check out the Porsche website all by yourself : http://www.porsche.c...-axle-steering/
  8. I guess they're just prototypes of the current iteration of the Porsche. They won't make a new model for each model in the 911 range
  9. Thanks for this amazing MOC I'm starting sourcing all the parts too...but I will take my time to do so, since I want to build 42056 first
  10. Hi, thanks :D
  11. In fact, 42056 has a front suspension, pay close attention to this photo...to me, there's clearly a red shock http://cache.lego.co...1&fmt=png-alpha
  12. Simple, they will wait for Porsche to release the 991 GT2 RS and sell a limited feature full edition build upon 42056...it will not have 4 wheel drive though as the Carrera 4 / 4S is for peasans compared to the GT3 RS and GT2 RS versions
  13. Yeah, yeah, but I don't think there's that much market for 500€ sets...the IP on the Porsche doesn't come cheap...and fitting everything in whilst maintaining ease of assembly and some form of robustness doesn't come cheap either. To me 42056 seems to be a very good base
  14. Hi everyone, I'm yet another "AFOL", from France. I'm more into technic set (and computers) than everything else and I did start very early on. Back in 94, I was at the Paris Motorshow for the first public appearance of the legendary 8880 set...back then I did manage to get hold of the official press kit from one of the Lego representatives...and since 8880 was made exclusive to the 94' Paris Motorshow (before a global release one month later), I asked my dad to buy me this very expansive set right from the Lego stand...which I'm glad he did...and I still own it to this very day...sadly, I can't build it from memory alone anymore... The laters so called "supercars" were of no interest to me since they were nowhere near as complete that 8880 was...The Porsche 42056 will be a day one buy for me...this gearbox really intrigues me. Quite recently (this weekend), I bought 43039 and found it to be a very easy build...I currently buying a second hand one, to improve some of the aspects of the original model (as well as for getting more green panels)...since I managed to get a good 50% off the original price After 42056 (which I might also buy twice), I will try to source all parts for the amazing Koenigsegg One:1 and build it (though this will be a fairly expensive build). Thank you all for your time, and good - morning / afternoon / evening from France
  15. Sure, but that could be an easy Porsche (or Apple) moment for Lego...and now, here is exactly the same model as before, but with 4 wheel drive (don't feed the troll btw)
  16. In which timezone the online lego store is updated first ? (yeah, this is a day one / hour one buy for me )
  17. @Kman860 Carrera 4S anyone...that way 42056 will just be as complete as 8880 (even though 8880 hadn't got sequential gearbox with shifters) Speaking of 8880, I remember very vividly my 10 year old self going on the lego stand at the 94' Paris Motorshow asking some more information on the "human scale" model and was given a press kit by the Lego representative. On that very occasion, my dad bought me the original set and to this day I still got it (but am no longer able to build it relying on my memory alone) Apart from my memories, Lego could introduce some fancy new engines...rotary engine anyone ?
  18. A Koenigsegg one:1 (kudos to Pvdb), or a McLaren P1 (in black) or maybe a proper model of a Bugatti Chiron with a proper W16 for me
  19. Don't trust the reviews By the way, and I don't think hi-res photos (coming right from the shop) have been posted here http://cache.lego.com/r/dynamic/is/image/LEGO/42056_alt1?op_sharpen=1&resMode=sharp4&wid=5000&fit=constrain,1&fmt=png-alpha http://cache.lego.co...1&fmt=png-alpha http://cache.lego.co...1&fmt=png-alpha http://cache.lego.co...1&fmt=png-alpha http://cache.lego.co...1&fmt=png-alpha http://cache.lego.co...1&fmt=png-alpha http://cache.lego.co...1&fmt=png-alpha To get the proper resolution for your screen, just change the wid=xxxx parameter
  20. On the official website for this set (here), by searching for .jpg on the source code of the page, we can get two somewhat detailed photos of the set : Link to side view : http://cache.lego.co...paragraph_2.jpg Link to chassis & gearbox view : http://cache.lego.co...paragraph_3.jpg It seems like we have to build the chassis and the shell separately, just as for real cars
