  1. Any plans for a eurobricks collaborative build this year at brickworld?
  2. Because no one has mentioned this yet I would like to point out the excellent usage of lighting in taking the photo, I believe you have successfully captured the feeling of a sun-baked desert market. Nicely done!
  3. Thanks for posting these all in one place, what a wonderful project and well executed as well.
  4. Another stunning build that I keep staring at hoping that I will discover all of the tiny details but fear I never will. I am a huge fan of the terrain around your MOCs and can appreciate the sheer amount of pieces and planning that go into making it possible.
  5. This is great, plenty of little details that make this a quality build.
  6. I finally had a chance have some excellent photos, taken by the wifey, added to the original post, check them out! And again, thanks all of the kind words! My next build will be pure Avalonia, I have something special planned (if I can pull it off). I am planning on making it to Brickworld 2014, if you will be there I look forward to meeting you and seeing some of your excellent MOCs in person.
  7. I've been staring at pictures of the front underbelly of this masterpiece and still cant figure out how you did it.
  8. Oh man, those bubbles, I want to reach out and pop them, good work!
  9. Love it! Diablo is deff. An untapped area for mocs.
  10. The waterfall is spectacular, the stone work is great and I love love love the fall colors.
  11. Thank you for the kind words! As for where I get my bricks, I honestly source them from all sorts of placed. I do buy a lot of sets including repeat sets that provide a lot of good parts like the medieval market village, kingdom's joust, helm's deep and the kingdom's line king's castle. Also look for sets outside the traditional castle line for good parts like the log cabin set has a lot of great parts at a good price. Amazon.com is a great place to find sales on sets. I also pick up parts from the PaB wall at lego stores, I travel a lot for work so I get to visit a lot of different stores. Lastly, and this is more recent, I have purchased from bricklink. Bricklink can be a bear to navigate and takes some time to find a vendor with what you need but when you do the prices tend to be reasonable. Just remember to build to the parts you have and use them in new and fun ways.
  12. This is all great stuff, I especially like the mimic in the form of a treasure chest, I don't think I have seen that done before.
  13. I am impressed that you noticed the space frog, that was an Easter egg that showed up on everyone's MOCs the last day of the show made by the best overall builder from the year previous, a tradition or sorts.
  14. Picked up the hobbit unexpected board game for half off at Meijer for the parts.
  15. Next year I am going to get more sleep and stay up to party more. I think I crashed early both nights I was there.
  16. Thanks all! Brickworld was truly a wonderful experience with very many awesome people! I encourage everyone who can make it to go next year, I know I am planning on it!
  17. I've always liked shapes other than square or round for moc details, nice work!
  18. For those of you that couldn't make it I put together a quick set of pictures from the entire Brickworld:
  19. Hello all, First off, I would like to apologize for not posting a MOC in a while I've been busy in the lab brewing up something I hope you will all like. This past weekend was my first Brickworld Chicago and I wanted to bring something to show that I could truly be proud of. So, without further ado I would like present Vanguard Keep! Full Gallery For my Guilds of Historica friends I included a little Easter egg in the form of my avatar Sir Henry Drake hanging out on the stairs below. Thank you all for viewing, C&C always welcome. Update: Added cleaner photos
  20. Maybe we need a Dutch theme then?
  21. No theme yet, they are taking suggestions though.
  22. Congratulations Ecclesiastes! Glad to have a fellow Dutchman as regulator.
  23. This well is spectacular. I like how you accomplished making the stones look round at the base yet have a nice texture.
  24. I'm loving the large tent, where did you get the canvas parts from?
  25. I absolutely love each and every one of these builds, and I have to agree with Infernum I like the rock work of the first MOC the best!
