  1. I really like the use of cheese slopes to make the diagonally facing door.
  2. A great build that emotes an underwater theme and has plenty of great techniques for inspiration. How did you get that collumn of 2x2 round bricks to bend like that?
  3. Nice Build. I really like the gates and the archway you made.
  4. Great Build and a great way of telling a story.
  5. Oops! I was in a bit of a rush yesterday.....so many typos.....anyway, Hogs-Eye is from Scarbourough in Nocturne
  6. How odd... hopefully the folders will be public tomorrow
  7. Hey there, Here is a problem that I've found, Here are my Troll Berserkers. As you can see, I really like both the brickforge Gladiator Mask and the Brickforge Ponytail. Unfortuantelly the Gladiator maske is constructed to go perfectly with the brickforge Gladiator Helmet, and nothing else. By turning the mask upside down, I can use the ponytail, but it makes the neck look stretched out. So my question is, what is the best way to shorten the collar to make the connection better looking. Cutting? Filing? Here is a rear view, if that helps The Anime Girl is just there for fun....I guess I need a sailor Minifg for the torso.
  8. He is the final version of the first of two wedding parties I am making. If you saw the older version you can see that I had to make some changes. 1. Fans instead of bouquets 2. Usher with glasses 3. No beard on usher 4. Groom and ushers have suits, not tuxes 5. Base of Arch stablized More pics available here http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=493788
  9. Mages of Historica! Lend me your ears! As you know, our ancestors built many triskaisekalths thoughout the four lands, but during the last war, all of these arcane structures were destoryed by some mysterious means. For centuries we have tried replacing the broken stones, to no avail. Five years ago, Belladonna, our troll druid decided it was worth trying again, but instead of using new stones, she would use stones taken from other ruined trisaidekaliths. Gathering these stones was a trial of might for the warriors of her tribe, who had to travel to the four corners of Nocturne. Finding out which stones needed to be placed in what order would have been impossible without the help of the tacomancer. But finally, we once again have a working Triskaidekalith! More Images http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=496435 As you can see, five of the six support stones have glowing runes. The sixth was cracked, and allthough the rune itself is unusable, it's presence makes the others usefull.

  11. Excuse me sir. My name is Quiver, Quiver the caddy and my master, the big fellow over there, sir Hogs-Eye, would like to join this tournament. Please take my advice and have him shoot last. He's fine archer but he tends to destroy targets completely which would be unsporting to any chaps after him on the roster. No, allthough the bow is powerfull, the problem is that when he misses he takes it a little personal and smacks the targte around to try and teach it not to dodge. He's a quite one, prefers to let the Star-metal cross bow do the talking for him.
  12. I really like this dragon, how did you make the tail bend? I haven't seen that technique before.
  13. I have to say, awesome roof technique. Not just the colors, but how you attached it as well. I am going to have to remember that.
  14. A creature that cool needs a bigger swamp to play in. Very nice use of slopes & tiles to make the eyes.
  15. Nice work on the tudor walls. The cellar entrance is a nice touch too.
  16. Very Nice, I like the rustic utilitarian feel to it, and the use of horse armor as a sign is great.
  17. Huzzah! I finally found a way to resize my pictures for deeplinks! Unfortunatelly I can only do this on a computer at my workplace, and not a public library, but at least I can do it.
  18. Greetings travelers. I must advise you to stay out of that forest. It is inhabited by a most ferocious beast. Most people only hunt them in the fall, when their green armor doesn't hide them. We pay them a bounty and use the beast's legs to make polearms. The centaurs capture them live as a totemic spirit. Please forgive the crude background. It is only meant to showcase the mantis. More pictures can be found on my bricklink page. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=494639
  19. Someone pointed out that it has a detailed side. I was thinking this could be a modular corner building. In any case it looks like it might be good enough to buy for me!
  20. That's great with me. Especially if you use lord Blight. He's been around since the begining.
  21. Mighty Lord Ssilyrrlith, In order to combat the Outlaw and pirate forts that have been cropping up along the norther sea shores, the people of Scarbourough have developed some siege equipment. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=496946 Here we have a Lobster driven Battering Ram. Allthough the ram itself is light in comparison to most, It is set up higher than most bars on doors. The Lizardmen crack the top and then the lobster's claws rip out the door once it is damaged. It comes complete with Arrow Magnet on top! (Pics 672-673) Next we have a Crab Powered Catapult. The side to side motion of the crab is ideal for avoiding counter artillery. But the Genius of this is that the crab itself fires the catapult. After the green mermaid loads the ammunition, the blue mermaid attaches a chicken leg to the chain attached to the arm of the engine. The crab yanks the chain to get the food which fires the rock. Finally you can destroy your enemies with chicken stuffed crab. (Pics 674-676) (pic 677) I am sure you are familiar with the Scarbourough Militia's Barrel Golems. We have developed an armor plated version and improved the shoulders of the classic model. The one in the middle is the original prototype. (pic 679) But we've also attached ladders to the backs of some of our Barrel golems so that they can be repaired mid-battle or be used as siege ladders. Now the origninal weakness of the barrel golems was that they broke down so often that they were unreliable if they got too far away from town. So we took these Mechanical horses and used them to draw our golem reair wagon. (Pics 680-684) Now our golems can be reapired on the move. Also, In case you were wondering, the mechanical horses are not ideal for combat. Firstly they can not be steered with the legs like a regular horse, secondly they loose balance quite a bit. On wagon they support each other, by themselves they are a menace.
  22. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=496431 Here's a link to Mr. Cinder's Mushroom farm. Mr Cinder is a member of the Rustnose militia here in Scarborough, but he also finds time to grow and ferment mushrooms. Sometimes another farmer's pigs break into his pens. Fortunatelly the Tacomancer was nearby before Mr. Cinder lost his entire crop. The rest of my Brickshelf file is Mostly more Nocturnus creations.
  23. Greetings and Exubliant Cheers for Lord Ssilyrrlith! As promised, here is Mr. Cinder's Mushroom Farm http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=496431 As you can see, Mr. Cinder is a dwarf who farms and ferments mushrooms, unfortunately he sometimes partakes a little too much of his own creation, and today some runaway swine decided to sample his latest crop. Fortunately the Tacomancer was nearby and managed to wake Mr. Cinder up before all his mushrooms were gone. Later the Tacomancer went to study the local Crystal Pylons to see if he could figure out their purpose. He couldn't. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=496435 Next up we are working on some siege equipment. Pictures will be up soon.
  24. Greetings and Exubliant Cheers for Lord Ssilyrrlith! I bring various offerings. For your beastiary, I bring a trio of Mire Crows, three Grey Mantled pixies and a coven of Imps! http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=494639 Mire crows seemed were first seen a few years ago in our river. Our local "expert" the Tacomancer, says that they were there all along but the salmon used to eat them before they got too big. They are dangerous and delicious, either boiled with a touch of butter or preserved in alcohol for export. (Pic 651) The wizards of aeons past spent many an hour detailing the different types of fairies in our land, but then it was discovered that hundred of different species were the same. The gray mantled pixies use illusion to alter the appearance of their wings and body to confound many would be catalogers, but their hair is always a silver gray. It is possible that these mischievous urchins purposefully changed their appearance over and over again just to confuse the wizards. Especially since one wizard catalogued 213 different types of Pixies in one day, all with gray hair and all in groups of three. The true appearance of the pixies is unknown, since the only bodies recovered have a "squsihy" appearance. (pic 652) Imps! Demonic familiars! Bat winged piranhas! Flee! (Pic 656....more of WIP) Also for your gardens and magical component armory I bring two new jungle plants. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=495683 You already know of the Heart Hibiscus (624) used for charm spells and the like, and of the dusky nucifera (625) used for controlling and enhancing undead, now see the engraved primrose (654-655) which improved teleportation spells and finally what locals call Kraken Eyes (653) are actually several different species. My mages have not quite found any use for the plant as of yet, but I will let you know what we discover. (The Kraken eyes are a wip, I figured out how to use less parts, but have not taken pictures yet.) But perhaps you are more interested in durable good for trade and guards? Well feast your eyes on these! http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5366469 This weapon is sure to strike fear into the hearts of your enemies! Also, our master coopers have been hard at work developing this, http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5366473 A spirit brewing village likes our always needs more storage space. But there are other uses, like mashing grapes, storing oils & water for sieges, bathing in blood, drowning your enemies in the poetic justice liquid of your choice. The possibilities are endless! Finally, this is Mr. Cinder's Mushroom Farm. Not quite finished yet, but we will make him spiffy it up for your visit. (WIP) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5366470
  25. I've packed the cups by stacking before but I found that it takes too long and it encourages me to get bricks that I don't really want. Now my strategy is to find a tiny piece I like, Start with that (to fill in the groove at the bottom)then add the pieces I want and occasionally fill in the corners with the tiny piece. If there are hollow pieces I want like Barrels, I'll fill them before putting them in the cup, and I usually end with a solid 4x4x2 structure for the lid, but it took me WAY too long to fill a cup by stacking. Plus I usually like pieces that DON'T stack well, like bamboo or domed windows.
