  1. I like the colors (and the shape, and the whole moc) maybe the only thing I would change is the frameless big window plane. I love the plants and the fence too ! Can't wait to see the interiors. Thanks for sharing!
  2. Great ideas, I like the mobile ice cream stand the most. I'll have to make a classic town take on it and "motorize" my 6601 somehow :) Thanks for sharing!
  3. Great start and great finishing! I love the roof with the snot part that reminds me of the Fabuland roofs :) My favourite room is the kid's room, you have some nice ideas that I could use someday :) You mentioned you'll re-do the rooms someday. What's wrong with them?
  4. Hello! I'm curious what you could come up with the interior, don't tease us, show! Thanks for sharing!

    MOC: Caravans

Both of them are great! I can't wait to see them furnished. I do realize that they are intended for a trailer park, but do you have any cars that can tow them? When you have more trailers, show them! Thanks for sharing!
  6. This is a very well tought and cute addition to the fairground! I like the color scheme and the ticket booth + the mobility of it all. My only suggestion would be to find a use for the axles when it's delpoyed. For example a flagpole for the ticket booth :) (I admired the efficiency of the part usage with the official set, it adds a bit of playability to occupy the little hands deploying and dismantling the set.) Thanks for sharing!
  7. Well, you can go both classic and modular as did I :) Classic LEGO modular my layout, however is lacking space, so usually they sit on my shelf behind my working desk and packed up in the closet. We only assemble them when playing on the floor. Home office
  8. Don't forget he does it on a monster machine that would cost you half a kingdom with a software that is both hard to use and expensive :) He promised to write up some guidance as soon as he can make his filters or effects and scripts right.
  9. Cute details, can't wait to see the house :) Thanks for sharing!
  10. Great looking MOC and a great idea, even with playability! One question however, do the lone 1x1 plate will hold the roof? Maybe I just over-worry as a father with too much emphasis on swooshability :)
  11. Wow do they have some diverse customer base :) Nice MOC with great details!
  12. Thanks for the review, it settled the matter for me, I have to get one :)
  13. I love the town/city atmosphere here and for me, it beats the modulars :) There are still place for improvement, but that's the nice about Lego, isn't it? I was wondering what advice to give regarding the exterior, but most of them were mentioned before. A relatively easy and spare part friendly solution could be that you add one extra brick width to one of the floors that would stick out toward the front. (Like with these ones: , but not that drastic, one brick could do it) It could work with any of the floors, you could play around and try. Thanks for sharing :)
  14. I always enjoy to read the background story/building reasoning behind a MOC, so I can't wait to see the follow up :) Thanks for sharing!
  15. Actually it's a very good idea to keep fiddling with your "done and on display" sets or MOC over the time and change them a little. You just made me think what should we tweak on our town with my son :) Thanks for sharing!
  16. Your renders are more than impressive, I'm speechless. I was always after high-res renders of lego sets to be used as wallpapers, even made some humble attemps in pov-ray (and now sir, I'm on the edge of being ashamed of them), I hope when you reach your holy grail of auto-conversion, you'll do a few renders for the classic town community too :) The 8K render is almost photorealistic to the 100% zoom for my untrained eye. This is where I envy your work turning into your hobby. Keep up the great work, I see you got some people started with MODO :)
  17. Thank you for the comments. I was thinking about the signature feature of the human mechs, while looking at my collection and (apart from the obvious let it look like a human) I starting to think it's the this waistline + two weapons on arms. Maybe I'll start to design a lavender mech along those lines :)
  18. Ok, I give it up, there must be something in it :) Here is the Pink Artemis in upright position: for the others, it doesn't work so well, maybe I'll end up robo-forming them and making a humanlike counterpart for the girls :) thanks for the opinions!
  19. Hello! I guess you are right, but let me make some excuses. First, as the Mechwarriors mechas have evolved into a wide variety of mechs, each suitable for a different combat style (yet, piloted by humans), I could see a 3. wave of Exo-Force mechas (not THAT far from the Chameleon Hunter from the Deep Jungle that have evolved into a kind of mechs, that could run faster, yet resemble humans a bit less. I'm more worried about the extra 20-30 pieces that these have over the 180-200 of the official sets. It mostly shows on the sides and backs. I'm not saying you aren't right, just sharing my toughts :) Thanks for the viewpoint!
  20. Here you go: Thanks for the feedback, for a closer look, you can view the full-size image on Flickr
  21. Hello there! I always felt that the Exo-Force theme is "somewhat" geneder-biased. Since the gender equality is quite a hot topic on Lego terms, I decided to top my "manly" exo-force collection with... The Girls Of EXO-FORCE I started up with three ladies to strengthen the human side: Rabid Mole MKII, tunneling behind the enemy lines: I always imagined her emerging from the ground and yelling the famous Dexter series-quote: Surprise, ******* ! One with the pilot: Desert Cobra (or fox, I couldn't really decide) wielding four giant laser cannons, for it's that practical to use lasers in the heat of the desert :P with the pilot showing: And my favourite, the commander piloting the Pink Artemis: When the rockets fail and the enemy gets close: and the pilot: please don't flame me for not knowing the lore behind the Exo-Force, for you would be right. However, I think they look quite good and Exo-Force-ish. Keep on, ... build with your bricks :)
  22. This project is awesome on so many levels :) Mixing classic space with classic town surely touched a few hearths around here! I just loved the small story you put around the ships. My favourite was the garbage and postal ship, even if they seem to be quite similar. (I understand that you wanted to remain faithful to the original conecpt.)
  23. I would pick the 375-2 "yellow castle", and would hate Lego for forcing me into a hard decision like this http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=375-2
  24. Dear Forum members! I recently started high-res rendered classic town wallpaper project along the lines of: 6365-1 Summer Cottage FullHD Wallpaper (PNG) by hatalmas, on Flickr 6363-1 Auto Repair Shop FullHD Wallpaper (PNG) by hatalmas, on Flickr My next goal would be the 6383-1 public works center. However, I neither own the set, neither does the LDRAW parts contain the proper baseplate model. For the render, I'd like to ask one of the owners of this classic beauty to make a birds-eye view photo (the bigger the better) from the garage baseplate with numbers: http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/6100px4 (it's ok if the buildings are standing, it won't cover much of the interesting parts), so I can make a vector copy of it. Thank you in advance, Zeon
  25. So boiled down to my level: the DC motor (tries to) rotate at full speed (at the 1/9th of the time with 1st speed then stops for 8/9th unit of time, then goes for 1/9th) and the motor rotating makes this noise? Thank you for the detailed answer. Considering my son's happines factor, seems like I'll have to get used to it
