I don't think we ever got a leak like this. With sets that may not even release.

Better resolution pics of some of the other sets are being posted right now. I hope we get a better look at Rivendell as well.

Barad-dûr definitley isn't this year, they wouldn't cannibalise Rivendell like that.

I mean, we know Rivendell is coming this year, and the Disney sets seem appropriate for the anniversary. We don't know how current the pictures are. EDIT: Although JeanGreyForever did take the survey recently, so who knows.

I'm aware, but they chose to include a full blue figure, so that's likely the direction they're going in. But yeah, they could still go in a different direction. And come to think of it, isn't she basically naked? That doesn't seem like something that'd pass, but idk.

Eww, Mystique is based on the movies. That's a shame. Who is the other character on the fence? This set is a hard pass anyways. 10 years ago I would've been crazy about it, but the build is just pretty boring and I'm just not that into superheroes anymore.

I feel ya. Last year I promised myself the only sets I'm gonna buy from no one are the ones I missed out on in my childhood. LEGO have been doing so many missteps lately, not to mention the decline in quality assurance, I'd thought I boycott them a little until the bubble pops. But just when I think I'm out those b*stards pull me back in! Avatar, the CMFs, the flowers, the parrot, Indiana Jones, LotR, the viking village, a Mars Rover, the D&D set, (potentially) Zelda. And that's just the stuff we know about! I feel weak and ashamed.

The Maleficent set looks pretty legit. I would like to apologize to @JeanGreyForever for saying they were full of it. We've all been burned before and I didn't want to get my hopes up regarding Zelda (I'm aware this doesn't mean Zelda sets releasing, but they're at least being designed - I'm guessing at this point it's more up to Nintendo than LEGO). I'd also like to reiterate the fact that 2 LotR D2Cs without system sets aren't unbelievable with how the company currently does things. I'm not crazy about it, it just is how it is.

I wonder if it's gonna be another corner, or the other kind. Personally hoping for the other kind since that would fit better into my (planned) layout. If it's a corner module I may just have to cannibalize my Downtown Diner and build that neat karaoke bar extension by cjtonic on rebrickable (though maybe it's too much teal in combination with Ninjago City Gardens?)

Geez dude. Like I said, I don't believe actually the user (I literally said I think they're full of it), or even that a second LotR set so soon is even likely, just saying it's something I could see the company doing. Whether or not that would be stupid of them to do, they sure have made a lot of stupid decisions lately. It'd do you good to tone down your inner fanboy a little.

I disagree. Not that I believe the user (leaning more towards them being full of it). But two huge LotR sets before (and more likely entirely without) system scale sets is absolutely believable for current day LEGO. Unfortunately that's just where the company is right now.
