Also from me congratulations to the winners. But I think also to all the others. It was a pleasure looking at all those magnificent creations.

Well, I am not sure if I have seen your other work but this is truly impressive. I like your brick work and it is a superb combination of colours. I am amazed at all the details you put in here.
-
I like it. It is really good. And some nice interior as well. Quite impressive.
-
Well, my first thoughts were that of the student container houses in my town: They really cramp students in modified shipping containers. And of course the students complain of the low ceiling, lack of light and expensive rent...
-
Impressive, so many details in those relatively small buildings. I like it a lot especially since you use this small format for your buildings. Gives a feel of the classic LEGO towns but then much better. Do you think of making a small train stop/station as well? Your town is getting bigger so there may be people wanting to visit your town from outside.

Wow, this really deserves the name GRAND emprorium. I like this overwhelming grand facade. It captures quite nice the grotesqueness of some real buildings.
-
That sounds really good. I like the idea of two smaller modulars. Makes it possible make more combinations and also looks more realistic. Can't wait to see the pictures though, but from what is said here it sure sounds great.

That's a really nice review. I love that car. I got the 6604 myself which is great, but I must admit that I like this one better.
-
That's a real nice lay-out. Everything fits perfectly. I especially like the park. I don't know what you could do to improve this.
-
Wow, this is real nice. I think you captured the feeling of a convent real good. Also a nice chapel, I would really like to see the rest of interior when it is finished.
-
This is unbelievable. So many things to see, so many details. I need some time to check everything, this is so great.
-
That's a cool combination of two LEGO sets (+extras). And complete with interior. You als got a nice detail with those sewers.
-
This is just amazing. I love every bit of it. And real cool those light. I like it the way you did it seemingly without use of non-LEGO parts.
-
Wow, that is nice. That is indeed making good use of yellow bricks. I haven't seen many yellow buildings that look this good.
-
Oops, how did that happen? I updated the file. The table tennis net is now white. And thank you for your comments and kind words.

I have to agree on that. I must admit that I was also hesitant at first about a pet shop. But thinking about it makes more and more sense. We have had two buildings with a single purpose now (Fire Brigade and Grand Emporium). I think it is about time for a multipurpose building like Green Grocer with appartments above the store. Now lets wait and get surprised.

How open are you about your Lego passion?
Man with a hat replied to Fugazi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I (35y) have no problem letting others know. It is funny sometimes when you are in a store (other than the regular one I usually buy my LEGO) and buy some LEGO. Then when they ask if you want it gift wrapped and say no they look bewildered. You got to have fun in buying it as well, right . Apart from that I think especially my nephews like it. They are always amazed by my street of modulars. Also I pass on the news on new sets I find here to them, so they can save money for them in advance. Or ask me them for their birthdays of course. -
eh, let me guess... Seeing that the minifigs are "off" they are waiting to reveal the real minifigs? Or are they unveiling three Ultimate Collector Series sets of the three themes. (or is that wishfull thinking?)
-
Nice, that is a really cool pick-up truck. I like the fact that you made it 4 studs wide. Sometimes these 6 or even 8 studs wide vehicles are so out of place in a LEGO town. But this fits in perfectly.

REVIEW: 7326 Rise of the Sphinx
Man with a hat replied to Bricknave's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Nice review. I liked this set already. But now I think it is the best set of the series. Not only as a set with a very nice car, but the parts are also very interesting. -
A great review! This is a musthave for my town.
-
Wow, this has a lot of interesting techiques. And it really works well. Nice to see you got the essence of the original building. Amazing. I am impressed.

Lego Creator: Apple Tree House 5891 Review
Man with a hat replied to Ferrik's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Nice review. I got one myself, although a bit cheaper than the recommended price. And then it is really worth it, I think. Houses are essential in a town and this one really fits in nicely. Ok, I agree it doesn't have minifigs or an interior, but that is easily fixed. -

Me too. Seemed nice that hillside house. Well, we just have too wait a bit longer I guess. I will get one for sure. I was not impressed by the log cabin. Also the lighthouse does not appeal that much to me, although it looks good. And what happened to the pictures of the hillside house anyway?
