  1. I found a pic (non-Lego) of the possible contents of the Imperial Dropship: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Image:TroopTransporter.jpg I found this information on http://www.imperiumdersteine.de/thread.php...2ec8f472&page=2 Do you think that might be the proposed Imperial Dropship? I personally think it's too big for a 13,99 Euro set.
  2. I looked again at the list of the 2008 SW sets from january and had an idea: Since the Imperial Dropship will only cost 13,99 Euros and the Rebel Speeder Bike, too: Can't it be that the Imperial Dropship is a BP with a little vehicle and 3-4 Snowies? (Looking at the price the Imperial Dropship can never be a big vehicle with 3-4 minifigs how it was predict some time before!) That would make sense in order to that the Hoth Rebel Troopers from the Rebel Speeder Bike BP have somebody to fight against and it would be similar to the 2007 sets where we got a BP with Clones and a BP with Battle Droids. In my opinion a BP with Stormtroopers in addition to a BP with Hoth Rebel Troopers would make no sense. By the way: I found the interesting news that the new 2008 SW sets of january will be released on December the 20th this year (http://www.imperiumdersteine.de/thread.php?threadid=1220&sid=aedcabc888486e53459ce9c6d321b8af ).
  3. Since I'm not interested in the new 2008 police sets I decided to speculate about the other City sets (I think there will be more than only the police sets in 2008) coming in 2008: Since TLC released a gas station this year, it would be consequent that there will be a fuel tanker (as truck) next year. Since Lego continued the Train theme of last year with a passenger train station this year there might be a cargo train station like http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/4555-1?showpic=6840 or http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/4557-1?showpic=6905 coming out in 2008. Since TLC always released a new level crossing when there came out some new trains, a new level crossing might be possible, too. Since TLC is going to release some harbor extension bricks in 2008 (was mentioned some pages ago), it would be consequent that there will be a new harbor set like a depot, too. (A set like this would be universal adaptable for the harbor, the train and the "normal" city theme, too.) Since TLC is on its right way to release classic themed sets in new style (for example the airport sets last year and the harbor sets this year) TLC surely will continue with this decision, I think. Consequently some sets like a new main street similar to http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6390-1?showpic=1989 , a new bank similar to http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/1490-1?showpic=7633 , a hotel and some shops might be possible. After my opinion a set like a main street will come out in the next years - in order to give more action to it perhaps with a bank, a shop, a police car, another car, a burglar, two police men and some other citizens. What do you think? But pleace notice that these things I wrote above are only my wishes, ideas and thoughts according to new 2008 Lego City sets and no official or unofficial information!
  4. In general you're right, 5150 Lego. But notice that there aren't only kids which buy Lego City sets - even AFOLs like me do. And why shouldn't kids not be interested in shops and apartment houses. I mean: There have been some shops like http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6373-1?showpic=5974 and http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6699-1?showpic=2069 and some apartment houses like http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/376-2?showpic=1109 and http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6372-1?showpic=1220 and http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/1854-1?showpic=988 ... and they were buyed by kids, too. So why shouldn't kids buy shops and houses today, too? Another argument is that Lego City sets aren't often buyed by kids themselves but by their parents or grandparents - mainly before Christmas time. And these parents amd grandparents would surely buy a nice apartment house, a hotel or a supermarket, too. By the way: As I never thought in the years from 1996 to 2006 that TLC would ever release a new airport (which I personally don't like - i find the planes too big) and a new harbor (which I personally like very much - mainly the big nice ship and the little red cottage) I really think that TLC will release something like a bank, an apartment house and some shops in the next years - otherwise this would be inconsequent.
  5. I agree with you, badgerboy. A new "Millenium Falcon" which isn't a UCS set would be a nice idea. It's right that this new Millenium Falcon should be a composition of the 7190 set (the smuggling compartments in this set are very nice) and the 4504 set (which is more detailed and veridical). It should come with a Princess Leia in white suit, a Han Solo in "normal outfit" (not Hoth outfit), a Chewbacca, a C-3PO, a Luke and two Imperial Workers with a tracking system in a box.
  6. I totally agree with you, Wout! We need (food) shops for our Lego Citys! Edit: Why don't you complete your nice set proposal of a bakery and add it in the following topic? http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...opic=9448&st=90
  7. Since you mentioned the TIE Fighter: I want a remake of the "TIE Fighter" in the same look as the TIE Fighters in the exclusive "TIE Fighter Collection" set - but this time only one TIE Fighter with a platform similar to the one in the "B-Wing Fighter" set on which the TIE Fighters land and from where they start (because they have no wheel-away stilts to stand on the ground) and as minifigs a TIE Fighter Pilot and an Imperial Worker (light grey suit and light grey peaked cap/ light grey helmet in the style of the AT-ST Driver's helmet).
  8. I agree with you. TLC should release a new aerial cableway or a tram. In the style of http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6399-1?showpic=6487 it would be a great set and a must fot each Lego City fan! By the way: As I saw the angler in the new (this year's) Harbor set, I had an idea: Anglers' And Aquanauts' Shop an anglers' and aquanauts' shop (first floor: shop with a regal and a desk with a cash, second floor: living room with sofa and a TV on a little table) including a helmet, two pivots, two air tanks, a diving suit, some decoys and a glass minifigs: shop owner and a citizen I think there are so many ideas for different shops; TLC only has to release some!
  9. Oh, I forgot that I'd like a redesign of the "Mos Eisley Cantina", too - but this time like my proposal I made in another topic under the name "Mos Eisley": http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...opic=8730&st=90
  10. I'd like a redesign of the "B-Wing At Rebel Control Center" - but this time with a big control center and lots of new minifigs (especially an Admiral Ackbar and a Mon Mothma). A (B-Wing) fighter isn't necessary to be included in this set. I would prefer this set to be a Mon Calamari Cruiser I propsed in this topic: http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...opic=8730&st=90 A new "Jabba's Palace" would be nice, too - but this time with a big entrance that at least the Dessert Skiff can drive through it, some guys of the band which plays there and a new guard minifig (not again only a Gamourrean Guard). All the minifigs of the old sets (right: the three old sets "Jabba's Palace", "Jabba's Message" and "Jabba's Price") should be included, too. I'd like a redesign of the two Final Duell sets - but this time as one set (perhaps "Emperor's Throne Room" or something like that) in the style of this great MOC on 1000steine.de http://www.1000steine.com/themen/starwars/004/index.php but I'd prefer that there will be two Imperial Royal Guards and two of the emperor's friends the emperor brings with him to inspect the new Death Star 2 be included, too. The "Imperial Shuttle"/ "Imperial Inspection" should be rereleased, too - but this time with a gangway in the front of the Imperial Shuttle, with seats for at least two persons (better for four persons) and with Emperor Palpatine, an Imperial Pilot, an Imperial Officer with black suit, Darth Vader and two Imperial Royal Guards as minifigs. If there wouldn't be the two of the emperor's friends the emperor brings with him to inspect the new Death Star 2 included in the Emperor's Throne Room set, they should be included in this one. That are my wishes and I think they aren't too unrealisable.
  11. Thank you for the news, sam89! LEGO Creator 4996 - Holiday House sounds very promising and the price (EUR 29,99) seems to be humane, too. I hope that TLC will give us a Lego City Holiday House in the style of http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6388-1?showpic=7846 ,too. Something like http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6500-1?showpic=6344 would be a dream for me ...
  12. I would like for General Veers a face like this: http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/3626bp06?img=9926 This would look very veridical and a bit angry (General Veers isn't a very nice person, I'd say!), too. By the way: After we had seen the box pictures of the new Lego City Train Station in - I think - january this year, they changed the face of one of the included minifigs before they released this set. So I think TLC will change the face of General Veers/ the Imperial ???, too before they release the AT-AT in october/ november.
  13. I had an interesting idea that night: Might it be that there will be two different Hoth Battle Packs in 2008 - one with Rebels and one with Snowtroopers? The reasons for this idea are very simple: Since the so called LEGO Star Wars 7668 - Rebel Scout Speeder will only cost 13,99 Euros it isn't possible that it will include Rebels and Snowies together. Secondary the name of this BP makes it nearly impossible that this set will include Snowies. We got the news that there will be a Hoth BP and after a while the news that we will get a LEGO Star Wars 7668 - Rebel Scout Speeder. This information is not yet very significant when being posted july before the releasing of the sets, I'd say. So I thought: Lego would never release a SW set - especially a BP - with minifigs and some other stuff if these minifigs have nothing to fight against. Look at this year's BPs: There is one with Clonetroopers and one with Battledroids so that they can fight against each other. Since the Hoth Rebel Base is only availale at S@H and in some special shops not everybody will buy it. But the BPs are - I think so - mainly constructed for kids. If these kids don't buy the Hoth Rebel Base then the Hoth BP with only Rebels would make no sense. Somebody might now say: "The Hoth Rebel Base includes Snowies. So it isn't necessary that there will be a BP which includes them, too!" But I don't think so. I mean: Since we got a new MTT this year, a BP with Battledroids wouldn't have been necessary, too. So there is no reason why there shouldn't be a BP which includes Snowtroopers in 2008. Consequently I think that either the Imperial Dropship will include Snowies or there will be another BP with Snowies in 2008. By the way: Since TLC released the Imperial Landing Craft this year I doubt if there will be an Imperial Dropship - which has the same function; namely to transport troopers - in the next year.
  14. Exactly my opinion, xwingyoda! TLG did a very good job with this new AT-AT. It's very nice that it can walk motorized. I hope that it will really cost 140 Euros and not more - that would be a very good price-performance ratio. But the imperial ??? minifig would be a cheap trick of Lego if it will be as we've seen on the last photos because there has never been an AT-ST Driver in an AT-AT! Like xwingyoda I hope they'll change this minifig and make a General Veers out of it until TLC releases that set. More senior officers would be absolutely necessary, I agree. Generally more different and new minifigs would be necessary. But I've got the impression that TLG goes into the right direction.
  15. I agree with zeki: We have enough of police! I'll perhaps buy the Police Water Plane. But that will be - if at all - the only one of the new police sets I'll buy. A prison would have been much better because we hadn't something like this before. Or a set combined with the police theme - perhaps a "Bank Robbery" with a bank, a police car, a bank clerk, a bank robber, a citizen and two police men - that would have been nice!
  16. Thank you for the news, Christian!
  17. A hairdressers or a salon would be a very nice idea, Calvin! The chocolate/confectionary shop is similar to my proposal of a Candy Shop I posted some pages before. A clothes shop would be necessary for a real Lego City, too and is similar to my proposals of a Skate Shop and a boutique I posted some pages before. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What about this? Security Company a security company building (first floor: entrance with stairway and two garages with roller shutters, second floor: security headquarters with wriing table with three monitors, telephone and a seat and an office with a writing table with computer, telephone and a seat) with a big fence and a sliding door outside including some suitcases, a radio set, some jewels, a little security corollary van (with doors and only four stuck bright) (to convoy cars of politicians, rich people, ...) and a security transport van (b]with doors and only four stuck bright[/b]) ( to transport jewels, bonds, trappings, ...) minifigs: security company's boss and three security officers Electronics Shop an elecrtonics shop (first floor: counter with cash and computer, kitchenware and gardening tools, second floor: computers, radios and TVs) including some TVs, some computers, some radios, some gardening tools and some kitchenware minifigs: shop owner, saleswoman and a citizen Do you have some new ideas, too?
  18. Since I am struck that I expressed me vaguely, here an explanation what I wanted to say: Indiana Jones is a kind of adventure theme. It seems that TLC awaits more profit when releasing some Lego sets under licence than creating some own new sets. But too many licenced sets of too many films might one day be TLC's undoing. But that's in this discussion not really the point. The point is that when there will be released some adventure-like sets - here the Indiana Jones sets - in the next years, then it's unrealisitc that there will be another adventure theme - here some new WW sets - because otherwise Lego would compete with itself. Look at e. g. the Adventure sets (1998-2000 ??) in the past. TLC stopped releasing WW sets after 1997 and started to release Adventure sets. There have never been two adventure themes at the same time. Consequently we will have to wait until 2010 to see some new WW sets - if at all. Perhaps you now don't agree with me and perhaps it's in reality not the case and we will see some new WW sets in the near future (I hope so!) - but I personally don't think so.
  19. This time no reply to a set proposal or something similar, but I have bad news which concerns the possibilitiy of new WW sets: I've already posted an article in the Indiana Jones forum. I found some interesting news while browsing www.lego.de: http://www.lego.com/deu/info/default.asp?p...=&archive=false And here the same article - but in English: http://www.lego.com/eng/info/default.asp?p...=&archive=false So, what does this news tell us? I think according to these many sets which are based on Lego adventure theme there will be no chance to get WW sets in the next years. Very bad luck for us!
  20. Hello everybody! I'm not very interested in Indiana Jones Lego sets. Nevertheless I found some interesting news while browsing www.lego.de: http://www.lego.com/deu/info/default.asp?p...=&archive=false And here the same article - but in English: http://www.lego.com/eng/info/default.asp?p...=&archive=false Since I have not browsed this forum very much this news might be not new for you - but perhaps yet?!
  21. This are great news! Thanks, DJSaulTNutz! Some more sets based on episode 4 to 6 would be very nice. I'd like a lot of minifigs and stuff TLC hasn't released yet - not only "re-releasings" of sets which have been already there for many times (e. g. X-Wing, Y-Wing, B-Wing, A-Wing or Snowspeeder). But let's be surprised what will come in 2008 ...
  22. Your Nightmare Stage Coach MOC is brilliant, TheBrickster! The coach itself is very well done. I personally would have prefered "normal"/classic designed skeletons and not these undead. But otherwise your MOC is excellent.
