  1. That's a very nice WW town - i wished I would have one like this, too! I especially like the civil parts like the nice farm with the fields, the carriages, the town people, the apartment houses and the train station. The telegraph poles, the many feedlots and the planting vegetation give the whole town a realistic look. Very, very nice!
  2. That's a very, very nice MOC, oo7! The outside and the interior are very well built. I espacially like the old man with his pipe and the many different colors and pieces you used. Very well done!
  3. Some very nice ideas, jamded! I have momentarily no new ideas - so it's your turn! (-:
  4. I surely kept yesterday evening at least one hour on looking at the picture of this set because it is the best Lego (City) set ever! Thank you very much for posting the picture of the back of the box, Mr Hobbes! So we now know that each of the three buildings has a very, very, very nice interior - that's fantastic! Especially these details like the bar and the screen in the cinema - amazing!!! Hopefully the Green Grocer set will be like this set - of course smaller, but with a nice interior and these amazing details, too! By the way: Is this dark green-grey building a town hall or a church? And does anyone already know the circa price?
  5. Thank you very much for that pic, simonwillems and birdie100 for the more detailed pics! That's a fantastic, a great, an amazing set - I'm at a loss for words! It's so excellent built - WOW!!!! I especially like the wedding car, the couple and the fountain with the two park benchs and that TLC did include doors in the fuel tanker (Please more cars with doors!) and did include two female minifigs in this set, too. It seems as if TLC did answer our prayers for some town buildings which are not commonly part of the Lego City theme: A cinema and - most of all - a town hall!!! That's a dream!!! I only hope that there is a very nice interior in each of the buildings (in the service station you can see it, but in the others you can't see it very well). The buildings will perfectly go with older city buildings and will surely help to create a very, very, very nice and realistic Lego City - oh, pardon me - Lego Town how it is written down on the town plan. And so many realistic details and so much nice stuff which will come with it! That's awesome! Regrettably it surely will cost a lot of money - but for good things you have to pay good prices! I think around 120-150 Euros because that would be a fair price. What do you expect? In any case I'll spend all my money from the beginning of next year on and won't buy the new police station (which is very nice, too) but will buy this amazing set - because it is a must for each real Lego fan, builder, player and collector! Since we got the pics already now: Does anyone know when it'll be released? Maybe around Easter? That set includes so many things I wished to have for my Lego City but did never think that I will one day get them! It's brilliant!!!!!
  6. That's a very nice idea, zeki! In addition to your Teacher Impulse set there would be even a - seperate - schoolboy possible: Schoolboy including a rucksack, one school book, a chair and a little form minifig: schoolboy And here another idea for an Impulse set which would beautify your Lego City: Park Gardener including a fountain, a waterskin, a barrow, a shovel and two flowers minifig: park gardener And for the sporting part of your Lego City: Skateboarder including a skateboard and a little quarter pipe minifig: skateboarder kid Footballer including a football and a goal minifig: footballer kid In my opinion it would be absolutely necessary to include women and kids into the Lego City theme. I mean: Until 1996 there were at all times woman minifigs in many Lego sets - even Castle did include them! Always only men minifigs makes the City theme boring and unrealistic. Without woman minifigs the whole Lego City would one day die out and without child minifigs there is "no life in the Lego City". I hope that TLC understands this and will soon include women and kids into the Lego City theme!
  7. Two more ideas for the Criminal Investigation subtheme: Forensic Examination Department a forensic examination department (first floor: two garages with roller gates, auto hoist and writing table with computer and a seat, second floor: two offices with each writing table with computer and two seats) including a civil car, a grey suitcase, some tools and a lot of other stuff minifigs: two criminalists in civil outfit and two criminalists with white protective clothing (at least one female minifig) Capture Of The Burglar including a normal civil car and a civil car with a removable blue lamp, a park bench, some trees, a street lamp, flashlight, two pistols and handcuffs minifigs: two criminalists in civil outfit and a burglar Some new ideas for new Impulse sets: In order to collect some traffic lights to animate your Lego City and make it more realistic: Police Officer including a big traffic light, a little traffic light, a radio set and a trowel minifig: police officer with removable safety vest In order to extend the harbor subtheme - mainly in regard of next year's Coast Rescue HQ: Surfer including a surfboard and two buoys minifig: female surfer with removable life vest In order to give your Lego City a comfortable atmosphere: Old Man including a dog, a walking stick, a park bench, a dustbin and a newspaper minifig: old man Woman With Buggy including a buggy, a parking light and a shrub minifigs: woman and little child Park Worker including a medium-sized tree (like in the green dragon knights sets from 1993), a little tree, a shovel and a brush minifis: park worker
  8. Thank you for the new pics, darthperson8! I'm very glad to see that TLG gave the post officers a "real" post officer suit. But I don't understand why TLG doesn't include doors in the cars - that's a pity!
  9. I'd like following SW BPs: In order to complete the Battle of Hoth: Hoth Rebel Defense including a laser gun (like in this year's Cone Troopers BP) and some little snowy rocks minifigs: one Hoth Rebel Captain and three Hoth Rebel Troopers Hoth Imperial Attack including a white speeder bike (like the one in the old version of the AT-AT) and some little snowy rocks minifigs: one Snowtrooper Commander and three Snowtroopers In addition to a - hopefully soon released - big Battle of Endor set (perhaps similar to 7666 Hoth Rebel Base): Endor Rebel Attack including a medium-sized tree (like in the green dragon knights sets from 1993) and a few little trees minifigs: one Endor Rebel Captain and three Endor Rebel Troopers Endor Imperial Defendense including a brown speeder bike and a laser gun (like in this year's Clone Troopers BP) minifigs: one Imperial Navy Trooper, one Scouttrooper and two Stormtroopers Ewok Attack including a catapult and some stones minifigs: one Ewok Chief and three different Ewoks In order to create a Tatooine landscape: Sandtroopers Battle Pack including a dewback and a whip minifigs: two Sandtroopers with orange patterns and rucksacks, one Sandtrooper with black pattern and rucksack and one Sandtrooper with white pattern and rucksack Jawas Battle Pack including a stolen vehicle minifigs: one Jawa Chief and three Jawas Tusken Raiders Battle Pack including a bantha minifigs: one Tusken Raider Chief and three Tusken Raiders In addition to a - hopefully soon released - newer, better, bigger and more precise Cloud City: Bespin Guards Battle Pack including some cargo stuff and some tools minifigs: one Bespin Guard Commander and three Bespin Guards In addition to episode 4-6 generally: Rebels Battle Pack including a transport car (like in the Rebel control center of episode 4) and a crane to put the droids in e. g. the X-Wing Fighters minifigs: one new X-Wing Pilot, one new Y-Wing Pilot and two Rebel Workers
  10. Thank you very much for that great news, legomilk! Here a short (???) comment: 7734 Cargo Plane: The cargo plane is very well built. I especially like these details like the car, the cargo stuff, the lifting ramp and the "stairs on wheels" (I don't know the real name). It's a pity that it is so big. So I surely won't buy it because it doesn't go with my older City set. Besides I've not enough place - and foresighted all these other nice City sets which will be released in 2008 - not enough money to buy it. 7733 Truck With Forklift: This set is built excellently. I especially like all these nice details like the cargo stuff, the barrels and the pallets. I would have prefered the two cars to be only four stuck wide (instead of six stuck) and with doors. Nevertheless I surely will buy this set because it is awesome! 7732 Post Plane: I really like this set because the plane has (for me) the right size! I only hope that TLC will change the suit of the post officer into a "real" suit of a post officer! I'll surely buy it! 7731 Post Car: This set is a very nice little set! I only hope that TLC will change the suit of the post officer into a "real" suit of a post officer and that they take away this round brick on the mailbox and do a smaller brick under the mailbox because otherwise the mailbox is in comparison to the car and the post officer much too big! It's a pity that TLG created this nice car without doors! I'll surely buy this set! 7741 Police Helicopter and 7743 Police Truck: The police helicopter and the police truck are very well buit. I especially like the little office which comes with the police truck. But since I've got already three police helicopters and the older version of the police truck from 1995 I won't buy these sets. 7744 Police Station: This set is built excellently. I especially like the two garages with the rolling gates, the barriers, the dog, the watchtower and the two prison cells. It's very nice to have two prison cells and two prisoners. In the past there always were police station which included only one prison cell and only one prisoner. Two of each makes it much more interesting! Since I posted my proposal of a prison (which was an idea of course of others on EB, too) in http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...opic=9448&st=30 I'm very glad to sea that this new police station is more like a prison than like a police station! It's a pity that TLG created the two nice cars without doors! Depending on which other City (and Episode 4-6 Star Wars sets) will be released in summer/fall 2008, how I like them and how expensive they'll be I'll buy this set or not. To summarize: TLG did a very good job with the new City sets which were presented us here until now. I like it that there will be new cargo boxes in the cargo sets and handcuffs in the police sets. I especially like the smaller sets like the post car, the post plane and the truck with forklift. If the Coast Rescue HQ will be as nice as these sets and if there will be a new nice post office and hopefully another harbor set with a cargo or passenger ship, 2008 will be a great (and expensive) year! After TLC did release very bad City set from 1997 until 2005 it seems as if the period of nice Lego City sets (since last year and mainly since next year) blows again!
  11. That's a very dolorous development! I liked the 9V trains the most of all trains. Finishing the period of 9V trains is very shattering for every AFOL who loves trains. If you ask me: I don't think Lego goes the right direction! Of course kids love and will love trains no matter of which sort - 9V, 12V, 4,5V, RC or power functions. But for AFOLs the 9V system is the best train system to expand your train unit: -The tracks and turnouts look with there metal on top like real tracks and turnouts - and not only (like the new RC tracks) like cheap plastic. -The turnouts and the transformer are easily to operate. -You can use the normal electricity and don't need to buy lots of batteries the whole time. Another argument is that I'm able to navigate the train from the transformer and don't need a remote control. I have the opinion that train sounds are nice but not necessary - they are only corny! For AFOLs or Lego clubs which have more than one or two trains a remote control system (which surely would be part of the power functions system, too) is very circular. It might even be that there will be intricacies because there won't be enough channels to send the right signals from the remote controls to the right trains. The account says that Lego collaborates with AFOLs - but how much they collaborate with them and how much the position of the AFOLs count isn't said. Lego says that 9V trains were sold very badly the last years - I say: -The 9V accessory is much too expensive! Look at the turnouts: The new German S@H catalog for fall says 36,99 Euros - that's extortion! Who should/is able to buy 9V accesssory for these prices?! -Were there any 9V trains which included a 9V motor the last years?! Of course there was this huge red 9V Hobby Train this (or was it last?) year, but it didn't include minifigs, a platform or other nice stuff which would be in my opinion necessary to get through to a huge mass of Lego fans (kids, parents and AFOLs). So it's no contingency that this train set wasn't sold very much. -The Christmas train of last year was sold very much - that's antithetic to the argument that 9V trains weren't sold well in the last years! Of course power functions would give trains the possibility for more functions - like for example an electric train crane in a cargo trian set like 7898 or for little lamps in a dining-car in a passenger train set like 7897 - but all in all I would much more like to see new 9V trains ! If TLC doesn't be too much interested in what AFOLs would prefer or not - they should (in order to do not anger many AFOLs completely) at least sell 9V accessory furthermore - but please for affordable prices!
  12. You made a mistake when quoting me, Brick Miner: I wrote that your new nice Saloon MOC is "more like a house than only as a front" and not "fort". That gives my comment a totally different meaning. But it's not bad - I sometimes read over something, too! By the way: As this great Saloon MOC is only a new version of your older Saloon MOC and not a really new MOC - isn't there a possibility that you post one of your really new MOCs earlier then only in four month from now on? Perhaps to Christmas? That would be a nice Christmas present for each WW fan! (-:
  13. The beach house looks very nice. Nevertheless I won't buy it because I specialized (because of little place and money) in City and Star Wars products. I hope that TLC will release an apartment house like this one soon as City set with an open back to play and look inside, in smaller size and with minifigs and all the other stuff.
  14. That's a very nice MOC, Brick Miner! As I saw the older version of this MOC, I must say now it's much better. Here is my review: What I really do like: -The style of the saloon is very nice and would perfectly go with older (official) Lego WW sets. -The door and the two windows downstairs are very well designed. -The choice of minifigs is very nice because there is a "normal" citizen and a female minifig, too. -The plate outside with the information for the show is very well designed. -I like the mirror with the jewels upstairs. (Should this display a commode?) -I find it nice that you made a "real" room upstairs and not - like in your older version - only windows. What I don't like so much: -There is very little place downstairs so that this room seems to be overcrowded. -There would have been enough place to put in a bed upstairs (to display a guestroom) because now it looks very empty. -I'm very disappointed that there is no bar and no barman although we discussed the use of non-alcoholic drinks in http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...pic=9151&st=165. But all in all it's a very nice set because it looks - in comparison to the older version - more like a house than only as a front!
  15. Thank you very much for that great news, Wout! That sounds great! Two cells in the new police station - that'll perhaps be like a prison some of us would have liked to have been released! I only hope that there will be a new post office and another harbor set and that the Rescur HQ will be nice!
  16. Thabk you very much for the pics, aayla-secura! Except for the Mars Mission sets - which I generally don't like - the Impulse sets are great! I'll surely buy each of the City and Castle Impulse sets. Of the good knight (although I really hate the new Castle line) I'll perhaps buy more than one set because it's very nice made. I think and hope that there will be more Impulse sets in the second half of 2008. My wishes/ideas: For the City line there might be a harbor worker (for this year's harbor and perhaps more harbor sets then), a pilot (for the new cargo plane), a post officer (for the new post van, the post plane and gopefully a new post office), a lfeguard (hopefully female, for the new Rescue HQ) and a cargo worker (for the new cargo truck and the new cargo plane). For the Castle line there might be a good archer, an undead and a troll/dwarf/... . (I wouldn't like undeads and trolls/dwarfs/... as Impulse sets because I detest them, but I even think that these might be possible Impulse sets.) I think that there won't be any more sets for the Mars Mission line because Lego doesn't continue this line. (Or do I have false information?) If there will be a new Pirate line (which I doubt) there might be a soldier and a pirate like some people did already mention.
  17. Thank you for this exacting news, jamtf! So the beach house will only be a Creator set - I'm very disappointed because I thought it'll be a City set with a boat, some minifigs, etc.. I hope that TLC will release an apartment house then in summer/fall - where should the Lego City citizens live otherwise?! By the way: How big will the truck with forklift be? Is it a very big vehicle like this year's green truck or is it a more classic, more little and nice truck? Does the set with the post plane only include the post plane or even other vehicles/minifigs/little cottage? It would be very nice if you could answer these questions.
  18. OK, then I missunderstood the aim of this topic. Sorry!
  19. Thank you for the information, xwingyoda! Sorry! I didn't know that Lego is allowed to produce vehicles which aren't element of the films.
  20. As I read in this topic http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...opic=11377&st=0 that the classic Lego products are sold very well, we Wild West fans might perhaps be lucky and see some new WW sets in about 20??. What do you think about this thought? And Birck Miner: Where is your MOC?! Do you want that I have sleepless nights because you don't present us your new MOC and so I have always to think about what it will be and how it will look like and ...?! (-:
  21. Thank you for that great news, xwingyoda! It's great that the classic City products are sold so good because I like City very much. And what I've read here on EB until now there will be great City sets in 2008! (This year's harbor and container truck is great, too!) I only hope that TLC is going to make smaller cars with doors because - like you already know - I don't like these big blocky vehicles. Star Wars became classic, that's great, too because I like SW very much. This year's Hoth Rebel Base, the AT-ST, the AT-AT and the Imperial Landing Craft are very cool sets. I only hope that TLC is going to release new SW episode 4-6 products with many new (mainly imperial) minifigs in the future and isn't going to release only EU and Clone Wars sets - that would be joyless.
  22. New ideas for the police subtheme: Criminal Investigation Criminal Investigation Department a criminal investigation department (first floor: entrance with gate and room where court exhibits are kept; second floor: office for graphologists and office for biometrics (each with writing table with computer, microscope, other electric apparats and a seat); third floor: forensic medicine with little labor (with two divan beds, a washbasin, a writing table with computer, microscope, other electric apparats and a seat) including a grey suitcase and a lot of stuff you need for the labors minifigs: two normal police officers, a dead body (Shouldn't look too horrible! A normal minifig could be used, too.) a graphologist, a biometric and two forensic doctors Site Of Crime Van a site of crime van including lots of grey suitcases, two spotlights, a flashlight and two barriers minifigs: two criminalists with white protective clothing and a dead body (Shouldn't look too horrible! A normal minifig could be used, too.) Some other ideas are following in the next days.
  23. Thank you very much for that great news, jamtf! That the post plane will be in classic style is a very good news. A yellow beach house - that's brilliant! We didn't get apartment houses for years - so this has been the absolutely right decision of TLC to release a new apartment house! I hope it will include a palm and a little boat, too?! By the way: Jamtf, will there be a post office, a new cargo/passenger ship and some more Star Wars sets from episode 4-6 in 2008, too?
  24. In order to reanimate this forum some new ideas: New ideas for the new 2008 Impulse theme: Post Officer (similar to http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6420-1?showpic=9426) including a bicycle (in yellow colour), a mail box and three letters minifig: post officer Little Girl including a red apple and a scooter minifig: little girl (with little pants like in the SW "Ewok Attack" set) Little Boy including an iced-lolly and a skateboard minifig: little boy (with little pants like in the SW "Ewok Attack" set) Man At Work including a briefcase and a handy minifig: man with suit (for example for working in an office, at a bank etc.) Woman At Shopping including a bycicle, a basket and some other little things minifig: woman Lifeguard including a "saving hoop" (don't know its real name) on a lace and a handy minifig: female lifeguard Do you have some other ideas for Impulse sets, too?
