How do people buy whole boxes? Do you need to ask a store to order one for you? -
REVIEW: 8804 LEGO Minifigures Series 4

I wasn't too interested in the soccer player, but they face and hair is awesome! And I wasn't interested in the skater, but the beanie and top are great! Might have to save my money for a complete set! -
This is incredible, you really pulled it together well and managed to fit a modern bank into an older building! The attention to detail is awesome!
-
Thanks! It would be very much appreciated, I'd love to have one in my town!
-
Maybe a SNOT surrounding wall would allow you to curve the corners?
-
How did you go about designing it? It's a model I'd love to own, if you made it on LDD I'd love to get a copy!

I will have to find time to have another go at it! I worked on my truck again tonight and it looks much better now! Originally I had the hose/storage are on the top area between the cab and the tank., and had 2 wheels at the back instead of the one. I re-worked it tonight and it looks much cuter this way! Oh, my camera also make it look dark green too!! I tried to get my models into POV Ray on the weekend, but the only instructions I could find were from 2006 and the software I needed wasn't available or didn't work :( I also made a smaller version of that truck using the model as a base point and extra parts from two of the Toy Story Army Man jeeps! I want to tear it down and start over after seeing this though :/

WHAT IS THIS TRAVESTY?!?!?! Just kidding, congratulations to all the winners! This was a fun first contest for me :D
-
My advice - don't do it! My gf got me back into Lego at Christmas when she bought me the Grand Emporium, and I've now spent almost $2000 in less than 2 months! It's just not worth it! ;)

Oh my, there is a sniper on the roof!! I'd love to see more of this! I am currently awaiting some straggling orders from Bricklink so that I can build my first design that I made in LDD. I know I'm gonna have a ton of changes I want to make, so the more photos of your finished product and the design changes you went through would be incredible to read! Thanks for sharing this!

DOH! He was only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!
-
I think it works well, although personally I would have replaced the white with yellow to make it look a little cleaner. the top deck looks great with the class all around though!

Four Falling Four by awesometaylor, on Flickr We should never have been posted here. As peacekeepers the most charge we should have had on this frigid planet would be escort convoy for the diplomatic representatives as they make their way to meetings. And now here we are, stuck in a field outside a city that by our commanding units own admission has no tactical advantage. They have their own agenda and we have gotten embroiled not only in a political struggle, but a military war as well. Our weapons were sticking from the moment we got here. Hell, we had to practically break the safety lock of the ships cargo doors to get onto the damn planet. Our feet freeze as we struggle through these damn ice drifts on a daily basis. We were a group of 7, but 2 chickened out within the first week. I doubt they made it off the planet yet, but they might have made the right decision. Renting themselves for labour in the back-streets of the city must surely be less depressing than constantly keeping a look out for rouge soldiers from one of the piss-ant political factions determined to take one hamlet or another just to prove a point. The third died not long after of a local disease. We have all be too terrified to remove our equipment since. With no inoculations required for the placement we were foolish enough to believe that there was nothing for us to worry about here. almost 2 weeks later and it feels like I've had my head in a bucket of oil since landing. So now there are four. With a combined age of less than 90, experience is not on our side. At 29, Phrophit was by far away the oldest of our group. We look up to him - this is his 3rd tour and he has faced more hardships that this planet has to offer. His advice has kept us alive this past month, and now here he is with a rouge bullet in his left side. The bleeding has finally subsided, and Britton has been tending to him, but I fear the worst. He is no longer able to move, making us sitting ducks out here in the middle of nowhere. And Britton is no medic. I try to have faith in our team. That together, we can make it off this forsaken hole of a planet. As Phrophit continues to fade, so does my faith. For now, at least, we are four...

I'm in love with this! Is it possible to get some more images to help with re-creating this?

This is adorable! It would look goo I think if everything but the showers were one plate higher. The mermaid torso might come in handy if you make a counter piece!

There are lighting systems called Brick Lights on eBay, although they can be quite pricey. I definitely plan to add lighting to my own town, but plan on going with my own system which I will develop once I have a reasonable size to work with. I'm already designing my buildings with cable runs and battery hiding compartments!

Thanks so much! I hadn't considered 5 wide - but just your own little red car gives me lots of ideas! I think I might just try that, and take a look at some stuff online that is 5 wide for inspiration. Also, your wheels are gorgeous! You said they come from the racer sets? Thanks a lot, this post and your previous one you linked to was very helpful! I will have to do more research. I think I have plenty of time before I can afford to buy more Lego after this weeks BrickLink binge, so that lots of time to try some new techniques out on LDD! :D

I'm getting back into Lego after about 15 years thanks to an awesome Christmas gift from my girlfriend, and am working on my first real models in a long time thanks to BrickLink. But I am a little stuck when it cones to cars for my rapidly expanding Lego world. I got a copy of the city transit, and while 6studs wide cars looked big at first, I noticed that 4 studs wide looks really odd. The sports car for example looks way too thin in the middle with the wheels sticking out. I then started noticing that the small car set, and sone other smaller vehicles are 4 studs wide. How does everyone else make their vehicles? Do you reserve 6 studs for larger cars and vans, and 4 studs for everything else, or do you mod the cars to be 6 studs wide? I also noticed that the little 2x4 plate with wheels on that ALL my cars had as a kid seems to have totally disappeared now. As I start to flesh out my town plans, the cars are becoming a headache!
