  1. There we go, that's a little more like it! I'm curious as to why there was no scum kill, though. There are three options: 1. Conversion (It wasn't me, I swear! ) 2. Protection (Doctor, keep in mind who you protected) 3. Block (Blocker, keep in mind who you blocked) I think lynching the blocker's block would be a good idea today, to be honest, but we'll see what the day brings. Maybe we'll luck out with an investigation result?
  2. "Yes, we should definitely pool our money for the purchase. Or of course I could just buy it all myself because I seem to still have plenty of gold left." Tomas buys a phoenix essence for 50 gold. Then he hands over the phoenix essence and three remedies to the undead man. OOC: Yes, that would be great. We need to know how many bones we have. "I do believe we only need one phoenix essence."
  3. I did not contact him solely for that - he and I had been in contact beforehand, and I made a comment that I'd be a good target for a watcher. What's not 'loyal' about this? Isn't it in the town's best interests to get people confirmed? On the contrary, I think I've used very good logic in defending myself, and the emotional responses were responses to Jones himself. Donna, that's so far-fetched an idea it makes my stomach hurt. Literally. "Influence subtly"? Really? Yes, I'm scum and I'm going to win this game through subliminal messaging! Donna, I understand that I may not have been useful enough yesterday for protection, and I understood it then, too. It would have been nice, but it was a joke. The same goes with trying to lead. Jones had actually been making half-joking (or was he serious? ) comments about checking me out, and I responded with another joke. I do not want to lead, and frankly, I don't have the time for it. Man, what is it with people and empty pushes these days? That is complete and utter megablocks. I said I had never professed my fears to anyone else - but I've been in contact with lots of people. You're either misunderstanding something very important, or you're intentionally twisting my words around. Are you people for real? Can't a guy make a joke without everyone running around like headless chickens? No, I wasn't acting like there was a bandwagon against me. I was responding to the death tunnel Jones had had on me. Had he continued that, I would have surely been lynched. And I thought Donna's points were hollow... Okay, yeah, that does it, this chick is not town. No townie in their right mind would make up such a ridiculous reason for voting somebody. She didn't have enough reasons to jump on my bandwagon, so she made a few up. This is just like her post earlier - she's trying to look helpful. Vote: Lieutenant Suzanne Vanderbilt (Flare) Please note that this is not an omgus, I was planning to do this earlier but didn't have the chance, and Vanderbilt's most recent post makes me even more inclined to do so. I honestly don't think I need to explain this vote - Vanderbilt's been extremely unhelpful so far, but has acted like she is helpful, like when she apologized for showing up at a perfectly respectable time, or when she added extra megablocks reasons to vote for me. I personally don't feel comfortable voting for Francis or Daly, as they're both null leaning town in my book, so I figured instead that I'd vote for Vanderbilt - the person I really think is scum. See above. I did not brag about it, and I've already addressed this point. I was going to say something else, and lost my train of thought.
  4. Why are you so worried about looking helpful and active? Voting has just started, it's perfectly excusable to just get here late. Why are you making excuses? If they didn't catch scum or clear a major lynch target for today (ie. me or Daly), there's no need to reveal that. Mhm. I must agree here. While it may be a bit controversial, I have no problem with getting rid of scummy townies so they don't muck up our scumdars down the road.
  5. I have absolutely no idea. Who knows, maybe he did investigate me. If not, he probably saw a scummier target - someone who was actively scummy in the Day thread. Let's pray to God that he didn't investigate Wright. Now that, right there, is another unorthodox plan - and not a very good one at that. People who try to control things are almost always town (last time I was already in a good position, so I took advantage of it), so you're more likely than not going to 'catch' a townie. Because, Burbank has a track record as a night 1 metagame target, while I do not. If I were the doctor, you bet I would have been on one of Francis/Burbank last night, and hell, who knows, maybe the doctor was on Francis and just missed the mark. Since I'm a possible metagame target, but not as feared as Burbank and Francis, I have a very low chance of having the doctor/watcher on me, and am thus a better kill. However, I'm starting to think now that I didn't get killed because the scum want to get me lynched instead. The passive assertion that you're scum is there because, frankly, I'm starting to think you're scum. Oh? And what makes you say that, Engineer With an Accent? I've been unable to participate as much as I'd like to (which would be a lot ) due to my work, but I've still done what I can, and I honestly don't think I'm all that weak. Just because I was wrong about Robbins doesn't mean I'm 'limited and weak', and the same goes for you. Just because you're scared to be accused, don't think I'm going to let you have a free ride. This case against me is literally nothing, and this is an empty push. Town doesn't push on air. Scum does. That's why I suspect you. Yeah, I don't remember if my post went through on Day 1 or not, but that wasn't bragging, I was saying "Well, seeing as I was the first to call him out, it should come as no surprise that I'm casting my vote against him too." but I lost my spaceship of thought. Okay, that's good to hear. You made it sound like you were so certain about me and the 'case' against me, and that's actually why I suspected you. Well, I'm not giving up, I'm being realistic. If you had continued with your death tunnel (which you seem to have stopped), I would have been a goner, because you would have twisted every defense I gave and used it as "evidence" against me. You are forgiven, Lieutenant, and I too am sorry for being a bit snappy and egotistical.
  6. I will be broken. For fun.

  7. Well, yeah, obviously. They can't kill two in one night - that'd be unfair. This again? Hoo boy, you guys are really deadset on me today. I honestly didn't think I needed to ask to be investigated. Any investigator who's been with me since last time should know to do it on his own. Low key targets are less likely to be protected, and thus better kills. As scum, I've metagame killed low key players because I've figured there's a higher chance of hitting them. Low key =/= sheepy. You're fun. Yeah, Engineer with an Accent, that's like a mafia boss calling himself a legitimate businessman. You're pushing on air, bucko. I'd suggest you stop unless you want to lynch another member of the town. It's not a scummy suggestion, and it never was. It may be an unorthodox suggestion, but not a scummy one. My context is in my own head, so I can't help you there. I was thinking about our situation and was thinking, "Hey, I'm probably going to get killed tonight! Maybe I should tell that guy pretending to have all the actions to have his watcher on me! That'd be a great suggestion." And thus, he's more of a protective target. You see, I'd be a metagame target, but I'm still a novice in comparison to people like Burbank and Francis. So therefore, I'm more of a middle road kind of kill, which guarantees more success. You'll learn about this when you roll scum - assuming you haven't already done so. Do not out what you wanted your roles to do. That is completely counterproductive. Sure, just ignore the first day, where I showed what I can do as town. That's fine. Yes, I see now that it's possible they wanted me to look bad today, so they didn't kill me. Or perhaps Engineer With an Accent decided to leave me around so he could turn me into a scapegoat with my unorthodox suggestions. Okay, yeah, I might have accidentally talked to someone who was talking to the watcher (or even to the watcher himself), so that makes sense. I had overlooked that. Man. I hate to say it because I like you a lot, but you're really getting under my skin with this empty push, so your being intentionally obnoxious does not help one bit. Meh. You're really putting way too much energy into 'securing' me, but okay. Yeah, since I'm perfectly fine with being investigated, and I just must be scum, I'm totally the godfather. It wouldn't make sense for me to be, you know, not scum. Here's a good rule of thumb: If you have to make a stretch like "Oh, he's not afraid of actions... Hmm... How can I make it seem like he's still scum... I know! He's the Godfather!", then you should give that person to benefit of the doubt. Things should fit. Although it's not like anyone else is going to get lynched.
  8. Oh, boy. Oh boy oh boy oh boy. Ensign Robbins, a word of advice, don't scramble like that when you're town - it just makes people want to lynch you. The one I'm really surprised about is Wright. His behavior was scummy as well, but in a different way. The fact that they both flipped town is not an indicator that we're headed for success this time. Tsk tsk, I knew this would happen. Because of my quick rise to my rank, everyone's just looking for reasons to pull me down. Ah well, it was inevitable, I suppose. Why wouldn't I expect to be killed yesterday? I'm not trying to be egotistical here, but I should think the scum would want to get me out of the picture as quickly as possible, and since I was so low key yesterday due to real life circumstances officer-captain-y work, I'd make an ideal target. It didn't even occur to me that they'd take out Burbank like always. Yes it would have. It would have helped to catch the scum killer (I was a likely target, Burbank just got the bullet first), and possibly even the scum framer or something (if they thought I'd be investigated). In addition, I imagine that my rather unusual quietness yesterday drew some suspicious eyes, so there's always the chance that the watcher action could have confirmed some town actions as well. Honestly, I think it was a good idea. That last sentence was a joke. I'd really rather not have the responsibility of having to coordinate anything this time. You know, I generally do hold those who accuse me in a rather townie light, but man, you're basically just looking for reasons to suspect me. It's like you're going through our conversation and looking at every message I sent you and saying, "Hm, what kind of treachery can I pretend he's plotting with this message? " Quite simply, there is no 'case' against me. I haven't been towntelling as much as usual, but any 'scummy' things I've done are on level with scummy things practically everyone else has done. I'd appreciate it if y'all would stop singling me out. I wouldn't say it's that egotistical. It was a good idea, and I stand by it. And it's not like someone who acted like a major figure died last night. Burbank died because he's a frighteningly good player (as if this was a game..), and the scum didn't want to have to deal with him. Now, I'm nowhere near his level, but I think that's what the scum would think if they tried to kill me, but on a much, much smaller scale. Get it? Quite frankly, I was worried to die because I hate dying. This is the part that was egotistical. Right, so random and out of the blue things are scummy now. When did this happen? I don't think I got the memo. No, I did not. I saw no need to confer this fear to any of my other allies. See? Bingo! Yup, Pewter gets it! Yup yup yup! I have to admit, I'm feeling pretty jumpy, but it has nothing to do with our situation. And what's not 'pro-town' about it? Do elaborate on these imaginary reads, please. Here, I'll make a list of why it was super pro-town: 1. I might have gotten metagame killed. I don't like to think that this is the sort of thing that would happen to me, but it's almost happened before, so I took into account that it was a possibility. If the watcher had been on me and the scum had killed me, we would have caught the killer. Hoorah! 2. I might have been the target for townie actions. Whether metagame or not, I was probably the target for one or two town actions last night, as I wasn't the towniest person around yesterday. If the watcher had been on them, we would have been able to confirm some valuable night action townies. Hoorah! 3. Because I might have been the target for townie actions, I might have also been the target of scummie actions. Roles like framer might be a good idea to have on me because I will probably be the target for town actions. if the watcher had been on me and the framer had framed me, we would have caught the framer (assuming there is one). Hoorah! There you go. Because the other townies didn't have the power to boss around the important actions, or at least didn't pretend to. Honestly, telling other townies that I thought I was going to die wouldn't have done anything. This mini-play will explain what I mean: Why Commander Cammy didn't need to tell anyone he was going to die - Part I Act I, Scene I Curtain opens on Commander Cammy strolling through the ship Enter Important Townie Cammy: Hi, Important Townie! I know you probably can't do anything about it, but I'm going to die! Important Townie: Uhh, Commander Cammy, what? Cammy: Bye bye now! The next morning, Commander Cammy's dead body is found Enter Important Townie and the Engineer with the accent. Engineer with the accent: Oh no! Commander Cammy is dead! Whatever shall we do? (I don't do accents, sorry) Important Townie: Ha! Well, I have some super important information today! Engineer with the accent: Oh, please do tell! Important Townie: Last night, Commander Cammy told me... he was going to die. Engineer with the accent: ... And how does that help us? Important Townie: Err, I'm not quite sure yet. Engineer with the accent: I don't think it helps us at all. ~Fin~ Plus, I don't think Wheeler likes me too much this time, so I wouldn't come crying to her with my fears. Here's a word of advice: Don't out anybody's role - even if it's vanilla. It helps the scum narrow down the PRs. I thought you knew that. You keep coming back to this even when it's a serious logical fallacy. You say that only people who contribute in the thread get killed, right? Well, what about Burbank? He didn't do much in the thread - he was just killed so that he wouldn't be able to get in the scums' way later in the situation. I was actually joking about protection. However, if I had gotten killed and the doctor had saved me, that would be one less town dead in the morning, which is beneficial for the town. Also, of course the scum killer would come after me. Just because you don't believe it doesn't mean it's not true. And Engineer With An Accent, there's no need to do bad imitations of my sexy, manly, captain voice. We can be civilized folk here. Yeah, that would have been good too. It's funny that you'd accuse people of seeming eager when you're out here begging for the people with the night actions to come to you. ... I'm not going to even bother responding to this. That's just how blatantly stupid it is. Anyone who believes it has caught a bad case of tunnel vision and needs to back off pronto. A solid case. Really? Really? I can't tell if this is your inexperience showing or if you're just scum trying to twist the minds of the poor townies into lynching me, but either way, I'm not scum, and either way, I'm starting to see that the night action townies were right not to claim to you. Engineer With An Accent, I fully expect to be lynched today due to your idiotic theories, but I'll die with dignity. I'm currently the only real suspect, and you're tunneling on me like a madman. I'm not going to give up, though, and I will do all I can to prove you wrong, up until my dying breath.
  9. I like how hard you're pushing. Push more, you'll get up higher on my scum list.
  10. Oh, that. Heh, it's funny, I was going to write something like "Well, I was the first to call him out, so it's no wonder I'm voting him" or something like that, and then I forgot to finish the sentence. Whoopsie-daisy. No, it's only my style when I'm pretending to be all high-and-mighty to avoid defending myself.
  11. Lunch is a very popular trend these days, yes.
  12. "Well, I see no reason why we can't help you with your little problem. What do you say, everyone?"
  13. Hoo, boy, I am sorry, fellas! There seems to be a lot going on, and I've been busy, busy, busy! After reading through everything, I'm confident that this is the right choice for today: Vote: Ensign Robbins (KingoftheZempk) I was the first to call out Ensign Robbins on his scummy behavior (not counting the Janitor accusation ), and he's gotten scummier and scummier by the minute. His almost pacifistic actions are definitely those of a scum scared out of his mind of being caught. When he's accused, he says "Whoa, slow down there, guys! We shouldn't accuse anybody yet!". When everyone's proven that it's a good thing to accuse people early, he concedes ground and tries to act like nothing happened. When he's accused almost to the point of being lynched, he gives up and tries to invoke pity in the rest of us, and when we scoff at him for his defeatist attitude, he suggests we NL. Textbook maneuvers. Quite frankly, this is the best lynch for today. While Wright as well is scummy, he's a different kind of scummy. Robbins is the best lynch for today regardless of affiliation. If he's scum, whoop-de-doo, we've got a great start. If he's town, we've used a ML (Mislynch) on someone who could potentially clog up our scumdars with scummy behavior when it matters more. I highly doubt he's a PR, because he would have surely claimed before. This is beneficial, guys.
  14. Mhm. Exactly. Ensign Robbins, if you're town, you should really cut the scummy behavior. You know, quite frankly, whether or not there are several scum teams doesn't really mean anything yet. All it means right now is that the scum are divided, and will be conquered more easily. Right now we should just focus on slaughtering anybody who isn't town. This too. See, two small scum teams is actually optimal, people. I'm sure with a little bit of hard work, we'll have this one in the bag. I don't like how you're immediately conceding ground. That's a huge scumtell. And frankly, your defense looks like the kind of thing scum hastily write up on their Writeboard so they can ask their team if it's okay to post.
  15. Captain McTague! Nooooooo!!! Captain McTague was like a father to me - he taught me everything I know about whatever it is we do up here. I will not let his death go unavenged! Mhm. Ensign Pewter has the right idea. Just because some freaks calling themselves "pure" are trying to threaten us into not going into space doesn't mean that we should just give up. Like I always say, the only way forward is to take a leap of faith! (and this goes for not lynching, too, just in case somebody brings it up ) No, "keep on the lookout for other factions" definitely sounds like there's another scum team hanging around here someplace. I wonder if it's aliens... You know, I'm not trying to sound overly accusative or anything, but something about this comment doesn't sit right with me. I know it's early and all, but this statement looks incredibly forced and rushed. I've got my eye on you... Yup! That's true! Nobody's got guts like Commander Cammy. No, no, there's no point in warning us about something that is pretty much inevitable in these situations anyway. I'm quite confident due to the wording that there is another scum faction. I, for one, actually find Ensign Rockford's joking to be a bit of a towntell. When I first learned of Ensign Robbins' job, the first thing that popped into my mind, too, was that it'd be ironic if he was the Scum Janitor. I even got a bit of a chuckle out of it. However, I've been around a long time, and I know that roles and jobs are always unrelated (or at least should be ), so I didn't bring it up. Ensign Rockford is still a bit green, so it'd make sense for him to bring something like that up as town, but not as scum. As scum, he would want to avoid attention as much as possible, and bringing something like that up would only draw attention to him.
  16. "Now, now, Durkonna (Durkonette?), there's no need for threats! I'm sure we can get the good man to cooperate on his own." OOC: I wasn't implying that we were going to kill him. I was implying that this sword affects not only us and our clients, but everyone else as well.
  17. Bahahaha! Someone promote this kid! Toothbrushes for strengthening teeth - very innovative! Lieutenant Wheeler, there's no need for your Four-Bean soup (or whatever that was) - serve toothbrushes instead! We'll have the strongest teeth in the galaxy!
  18. "Well, with all due respect, sir, I see no reason for you not to help us obtain some spirit fog. Like Hoke says, if you know this much about us, then you must know how important it is that we create this sword, so I think it would be in everyone's best interests for you to cooperate with us."
  19. "Thank you, that would be wonderful!" "Okay gang, let's move on now."
  20. First Officer Commander Cameron Walters reporting for duty! Let's teach those filthy 'purists' that the only way to progress in life is to move forward, and that next step forward is into space! Hoorah! Meanwhile, I'm the highest ranking officer around at the moment, so if anyone would like to be my personal servant, you'd definitely earn points with me. Come on now, who wants to serve Commander Cammy?
  21. I did do a fair bit of violating at the end there, yes. ;)

  22. Ooh, this looks splendid. 1. My entire mafia history can be found here on my profile. I've played in eight games to date. 2. Hrm, that's difficult. Something as abstract as space can't easily be summed up in a few words. Nevertheless, I'll give it my best shot. Space is a seemingly endless expanse of matter (or lack of matter - can't remember which it was, if either ) that contains billions of stars, planets, and other large chunks of rock that hopefully don't support hostile life. 3. Four, obviously. Unless this is a trick question and you're looking for a specific answer. In that case, it's whatever you want it to be... I know you're not technically asking this question, but I think I should make it known anyways that I'm currently on vacation with limited internet usage. I'll still be able to post in each day thread, but I won't be able to be as obnoxiously active as usual.
  23. Oh, Masked! I was hoping something like that wouldn't happen! While I greatly appreciate how generous you were with us, you really shouldn't meddle with the game just because one side's being dominated. Next time, I guess... This was one of my favorite parts - having you contact MacK (the voyeur) and Sisco (the role cop). I was afraid you'd find them out earlier because of how perfectly everything fit together (them clearing one another), but luckily you didn't. Yeh, I overused that a bit. I remember in Belville I was called out by Rufus for doing the same, and I was town, so I figured I'd just give a similar response to the one I gave then.
  24. It's finally over! Thank you so much, Masked and K-Nut! You guys did a great job hosting this game - the presentation, sets, and writeups were always superb, and the balance was interesting too, even if it did fall flat a couple of times. Thank you also to my scum team: MacK, Sisco, Wonder, and badboy! Nightshroud, I didn't really play with you that much, but I guess I took your spot, so I'll thank you too. You guys were all awesome - very helpful, very supportive, and you did your best to stay off most of the towns' scumdars - which was a big part in our winning. I love you guys! Now, on a slightly less positive note, I'd just like to say that, unless there were some game twists I don't know about yet, that the balance in this game was a bit off. The town had very few actions to begin with, and the scum only had four people + one conversion. Now, you might argue that that balances out well, but like they say, two wrongs don't make a right. In my opinion, the scum should have had five + a conversion, and the town should have had other actions such as vig/tracker/blocker/etc. Just my two cents. Also, was Wonder always able to joint with us? Because when I was talking about how great it would be to joint, I was mostly joking... Oh, and Scuba, very sorry if I offended you or anyone else on the Writeboard. The stress was starting to get to me, but that's no excuse, so I'm very truly sorry if my words were harsh. I hope y'all can forgive me. And I'm very sorry if I offended anyone with my cocky attitude when I was accused. In truth, you guys had it all right, so all I could do was AtE and deflect with my big ego. Ha ha, thanks, WBD! Yeah, we started to get sloppy at the end there, hence why people started suspecting me more and more as time went on. Thank you, Danny! I really had a great time playing with you - even though I was having to play you most of the time. You're a pretty good player and you had some great theories from what I saw, but being fed nothing but false information can majorly screw things up for anyone, so don't feel bad! Yup yup yup, I do! And glad you caught that! I was writing that message to you when I realized it had a second meaning to it, but I figured I'd sen it anyway to see if you could figure it out. Thank you! Yeah, having to tiptoe around you and Flipz for all of Day 2 was incredibly hard, and I was always afraid that you two would catch me! Glad to hear that the tables have turned with the guts, though! Thank you very much, Scuba! Yeah, it was hard having to defend against you and Flare (palathadric too, at times), because there wasn't anything logical I could say to most of your points! I had to resort to the AtE I had so much disdain for in Euna! Thank you so much, def. That means a lot coming from you. Yeah, it was pretty difficult, and as can be seen on the Writeboard, I came pretty close to giving up a couple of times, but I'm certainly glad I didn't! Oh, you're welcome! You did a fine job, especially since this is only your second game! You were a serious threat to me, and I was actually going to frame someone else with the 'role cop' action, but I figured I needed to get all my accusers on a separate side almost, so I switched to you at the last minute! Thank you very much, K-Nut! Love you too! Thank you, Scorpiox! I have to agree, this definitely wasn't your best game, but I think you're improving, at least. You just have to remember to be a little more active in the Day threads and in private, and if something doesn't look right to you, don't go along with it. Well, real life takes priority over EB, so that's perfectly understandable. You really should have posted more when you were free, but you posted plenty on our Writeboard and I think you did a good job. Just have to force yourself to start replying to everything! I probably have more to say to everyone, but I'm on vacation at the moment, an my internet is very limited (plus, I'm pretty busy), so I'll say more when I have time.
  25. *sigh of relief* Wow. I really did not expect that to work. Sith interceptor? That's not a real thing! Glad to hear you believed it, though! Alright guy, that's it! Game, set, and match! Because there are now 3 votes on Kit Fisto, there is no way anyone other than he can be convicted, and so we now have the majority. Ili, you better jump on the wagon as well - it'd be best if you didn't take the same route as poor, poor Master Koon. Thank you very much, Foul. You have been a huge help. We love you! Sorry for having to do this!
