  1. Mind blowing. At each picture I thought this would be the best vingette I've ever seen with lego ... and then came the next one...
  2. Such a sleek and clean design. Great.
  3. This is totally crazy - in a good way. Manor and Cave and then in such incredible style and detail. Wow.
  4. Thanks for the feedback. The Tardis is actually fixed by only one stud but that seems to be enough to keep it in place. The outcrop and using those cheese slopes was actually the initial idea around which I built the rest.
  5. What a lovely old school industrial brick building. It captures the look of buildings like these perfectly, I especially like the gable section. The truck adds a lot to the scene as well.
  6. Absolutely awesome. But this must have cost a fortune ... or is there a way to get bricks cheaper when you are buying them in the tenthousands or more?
  7. I like asymetrical spaceships and this is certainly a a very sleak and beautiful one.
  8. This is epic, exterrior is great but I just got stuck at ... it has a hangar!! I presume it weighs a ton and takes up the larger part of your living room ;)
  9. Pictures of the final MOC/MOD diorama: (Image quality could still be better but it should do) A little break during a lovely walk over the hills? No. Surprise!!! Ex-Ter-Mi-.... Stepping out of the Tardis, enjoying the fresh air ... everything calm isn't it? ... Is it?
  10. I join the others, the balcony immediately caught my eyes. Very nice build. The floor tiling is also great.
  11. I absolutely love it, maybe most of all the colourful roof.
  12. Sorry for the modest picture quality. I'll try to get a better one, but so far this has to suffice. I finalized my diorama with some modifications. Obviously it depicts an alternate dimension where Daleks run away from the Doctor ... PS: Oh and I built it mirrored. I can only recommend that, even though or because it is twisting your brain a bit.
  13. Splendid. This tower is like designed for Lego indeed and the model is capturing its form and structure incredibly well. Few if any compromises had to be made even in this scale apparently. Great work.
  14. Very impressive. The Taurus locomotive and the RailJet are of course ever present here in Vienna so it is really cool to see such a nice rendition of it in Lego. I think especially the colour scheme is really very close to the original. The Hungrian IC waggons may be easy straight forward constructs, but they look awesome.
  15. I agree with the comment above, presentation makes a big difference. The brighter pictures do the model much more justice in my humble opinion. I like the flat perspective from afar, where you can see the rocks, water and the whole castle complex. The wooden parts create some lovely contrast to the rather stern look of the stone parts.
  16. This MOC is better than the original model (from the movie) IMHO ... and the original model looks alraedy great.
  17. The appeal is very close to what the appeal of Lego of the old days had been. This set is clearly on the expensive side but I would think that it offers great play value. And I am not talking about action figure play, but the original idea of lego of easy reconstruction and giving children a nice toy that supports their creativity by simply going straight into constructing. I love it how the Minecraft series apparently manages to get the original lego idea back in modern clothing to a new generation of children. Maybe grown ups can't appreciate it as much, because of a lack of challenge or aesthetics but then Lego is primarely made for children. One should not forget that.
  18. I just know that I was not even close to that league as a 10 year old ... possibly I am not even today.
  19. This is absolutely fantastic. I think the real quality of this layout is how everything is integrated and designed so well, as a whole, together. In level of detailing and vibrancy it is actually on a level of a regular non-lego model railway, I'd say. Or even beyond.
  20. I am not sure if this fits in here, but it probably doesn't deserve a thread on its own and its in the context of the diorama.I was wondering if there is some room for improvement of the official Dalek design and had a look at the net for inspiration. Obviously what I came up with is heavily influenced by both, the official design as well as solutions others have come up with before. But based on what I've seen and my own ideas, I built this small assortment. Those Daleks are in minifig scale (at least as much as the official ones from the Doctor Who Ideas set) as you can see by that justifiedly terrified minifig. PS: Those designs aren't final but I am seriously contemplating building at least one of them..
  21. Those are interesting proposals but they do seem all too big for the socket. This tile would look nice in terms of colour and script but its too obviously a car name I guess:http://www.bricklink.../3069bpb468.jpg The best bet may very well be that rune tile mentioned before:http://alpha.brickli...bpb079#T=P&C=85
  22. Splendid build.
  23. This looks so neat. I love especially the water stream.
  24. I'd have that tile from the set, but I am not sure it works out:
