Aw, epic schmepic. I like this entry. It's very smooth and I think the two statues are great. I'd rather see more entries like this than a bunch of versions of the same scene.

I've seen this happen at FBTB since I'm a member there as well. I actually know why it's done, I just felt like complaining about it. :) To respond to mutley777 - I'd like to see a new Cloud City set as well. I barely even knew of the existence of the old set before it was off the market.

Why is it that the only time TLC asks various sites to take down pics are when it's of a licensed set? Right now there are a few other pics of upcoming sets on the front page, all located by whung. The remaining pics aren't of licensed sets.

Nice detail, but you might want to swap the order of your photos around. The pic with Darth Maul sliced in two was in the middle of the display. Chronological flow is better! :) Good luck!

Man, and I was going to make a 16x16 plate, add a stand of bricks and put the UCS Falcon on top, calling the rest of it "overhang". (I'm kidding..I don't even own the UCS Falcon) I have an idea, unknown if I'll get a chance to build it though. I look forward to seeing all the entries!

I gotta chime in and say that the dead/faceplant Rebel is awesome. The power generator is a great design, too.

That would be Final Duel II. I think you may be confusing Final Duel (7200 & 7201 from ROTJ) with Jedi Defense (7203 & 7204 from TPM). The actual Jedi Duel set (7103) is from AOTC and is Dooku/Yoda with a crane and Dooku's speederbike:

Bought PoP Desert Attack the other day. Forgot to post about it. Hopefully I will find some of the Minifigures next week. Bring on the zombies!

I like them all except for the Britney/Myley/Pop Star one. I can't think of a bunch of uses for the cop, but you find a blue uniform, I suppose you could make a T-1000 out of it . "Have you seen this boy?" I'm probably going to have to choose between these and at least one SW set....I guess I can live without the CTT since it's basically a poopy design of frame on wheels, lacking a decent interior.

I liked the milk money one - what would a wampa use money for when it can probably just take what it wants/needs? Funny on two levels! :)

I finally built my 6209 the other night and it's a fantastic set. I like the design and detail of the ship as well as the levers for the door and the big missile. Unless there is a huge sale or I have a moment of weakness, I don't think I'll bother with the 8097.

Those aren't "ostriches", they are two fine examples of the rare "feathered Eopie!"

I agree, nice review of the sets. I can't get over how over-sized that Superpack box is. It's at least twice as large as it needs to be. I know it would be less shelf space, but I wish LEGO would return to smaller boxes.

The LEGO Stores in the San Francisco area are in San Mateo and Santa Clara. Easy to get to by car, unknown about public transport, but you might want to try BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) to see if you could get to either store that way. Other than that, there are plenty of Wal-Marts, Targets, and one or two Toys R Us stores around.

These look awesome! I've always wanted a bunch of different people for a MOC I've been planning in my head for a couple of years, and this would be a good way to do it!

If it's stickers, I'm going to pass. I have a relatively low-numbered poster from last year and it's still sitting in a box. Not exactly worth the hoops I had to jump through to get it.

Maybe the surprise set will be a new Cloud City. One can hope, and it would be the correct year since it's the 30th anniversary for ESB.
