We all know how much I love cell phone topics, but at least your post made me smile.

I was just wondering what kind of ancient temple has a safe. A modern one that uses a password. In English... Curiouser and curiouser indeed. Let's try that password! GREED it is!

Ah, that's a relief. So, shall I tell you where you can shove that torch?

Hide the women and children... and small woodland animals!

Welcome Chris! Your reputation precedes you, plus Stash mentioned you. Glad you finally joined us! He just got here, don't go blaming him for stuff already... -
Ok, I just can't keep up with what we've done and not done so far, so let's lift each marked tile, X or ?, look under it, take whatever there is, put it back in place, then stomp on each and every damn one of them in each and every damn possible combination and order while listening to the pretty clicks and toppling rocks and Zelda sounds. When we're done with that, I'm going to cuss some more. Doesn't this place have a bathroom?

Even I was surprised. -
I can't follow all that tile stuff, but I'll lend myself to the #'d square testing project, just direct me to where you'd like me to stand. If this is another anagram... I'd like to pick up the paper, uncrumple it into a perfectly flat sheet and then clear my throat as everyone looks on. Finally, after much delay, I'll read it aloud as Kermit the Frog.

"Then let's try the blade!" he says, bringing relief to the mysterious voice that guides us.

Cheery... I said, "let's leave before things get bad," but no one listened. Now here we are talking about bones and victims and weapons and no one listens. I'm too young and handsome and talented to die!!! Dammit.

You're right, he might not be a ghost at all, he may just be trapped in an alternate dimension, one that opens with the rare coming of the red moon! I've got a feeling that things are about to get a little bumpy around here, and unless we want to end up like that, we'd better figure out what's going on and deal with it. Maybe we can save him in the process!

... I hate those guys. *shakes it off* Ok, so... Grey Brown Dark Gray Tan Well, we know that the note writer suffers from the same spelling inconsistency that I do when it comes to grey. Beyond that, I haven't noticed any actual grey tiles, just dark gray grey, otherwise I would imagine this to be some sort of order in which to do things, perhaps in association with N-E-S-W, which would make it: N - Grey E - Brown S - Dark Gray W - Tan But what does it mean? GHOST! Looks like I just joined the pee pots. Anyone else think we should just turn around and get the hell out of here? You know, this could be that point in the movie where if everyone just went home, no one would end up impaled by a spear or crushed by a boulder, but instead everyone chuckles a bit at the odd things, shrugs it off as nerves, and then opens the damn door only to get an axe in their skull... Assuming no one actually wants to leave, let's at least insist that our kindly MotEE tour guide opens all the doors from now on. It's only fair, he's getting paid...

*runs up to Fred and grabs the paper, reading it before anyone else* What are you looking at me like that for? Everyone else does it, and he took my knife, so he's got it coming to him ...

Just a little tip... charge people what it costs to ship, don't overcharge then offer to play with the price in some arbitrary way. It's the one guaranteed way to keep a lot of people from ever ordering.
-
A satisfying click. Perhaps some of you could stand of on the other marked spots and see what happens?
-
I can't guarantee it's accuracy, things get a little murky in spots. Now... I think I'd like to visit the #1 spot and see if it's loose and hiding anything or can be pressed in some way.
-
Given the latest view, this is as close as I can get to actually fulfilling what we keep requesting, a map with the colours of the tiles, unobscured by statue and shadow.
-
I don't think I can, but I'll try. I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE ONE OF THE SPARE GREY PIECES THAT IS SITTING IN THE PILE AND PLACE IT IN THE OPENING LEFT BY THE MISSING PIECE IN THE GREY SQUARE AT THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BASE OF THE STATUE. *points at the square on the map, which he wouldn't have to do given that this is real life and he has just picked up the piece and placed it in the spot he intends*
-
I'd like to take one of the loose grey pieces and put it in the 'missing piece' spot next to the back left corner of the statue. I've mapped out the colours of the floor as well as can be seen from the various angles I've viewed, but haven't figure out the significance of the various other markings yet. I'd like a nice map with the colours filled in... General observation: All of the numbered spots are grey. The 2 upper red x's are reddish brown, and the central ? is tan. The other ? and red x are impossible to see thus far. *figured

Could we have a rule that when someone finds something, crazy old men and children can't come along grabbing it? Now that it's been grabbed, fondled and generally looked at to determine if it has writing (duh), I'd like to READ the paper. Thanks!

I don't really know what to do here, so I'd like to look closely at the statue, especially iinside the mouth.

Red Moon Confirmation & Discussion thread

Slow, even strokes chapters, that's the way to do it. About the only thing that has been a bit confusing at times is the locking and unlocking of the same topic. I'd almost rather see it split into each session as opposed to by room. Other than that... -
Happy Birthday Captain! Hope it's full of booty and chests. Looks like the lads have already covered that. Both end up awfully expensive to maintain ...

Clearly this topic was intended to point out that some early sets gain legendary status while not really being particularly great sets. It's a nostalgia thing and there is nothing wrong with that. I still look at the early SW sets fondly because they brought me out of my dark ages, but their later replacements are definitely improvements. Expecting this topic to move in that direction, I'm less thrilled to see it becoming a chance to bash current sets and even whole lines with no regard to the original topic. This was aimed at famous, legendary, universally loved sets, but isn't being directed towards them. As a result, I think it's time to close this down before it just becomes mean spirited (and vastly off the intended topic).

That's even a little odd by my standards. I think I'll pass on that one. With what I'm seeing in print quality lately, if I get started on misprints I'll end up bankrupt. Interesting though...

Throwbots part of that assortment? I mistakenly bought one on clearance once ...
