  1. Gut instinct says fakes. I know there are people who have moulded them in the past, and the white is always a little off, sometimes milky, sometimes bright. I have a white Royal Guard helmet that is clearly not official and it's missing the mark like you describe (plus it just doesn't have the right shine to it, but it's very slight). The fact that he has yellow and black as well pretty much seals the deal for me to declare them fakes unless it's one of a very small number of sellers I trust for that sort of thing. I don't think I've seen more than a couple of yellow test part in my life, to be honest, and I have a decent number of them. Plus the red has always been dead on perfect. It's a shame, really, those look nice. I'd just always doubt them unless I found them offered through one of those trustworthy sellers. I'm quite fond of the unprinted Jango and Boba helmets, though, I must admit. I probably would have been tempted to pick one of these up if he'd only had red. All those other colours though screams NOOOO! They wouldn't. They made white to play on the new Boba and red because of the old Vader helmet. Probably made black because it's cool. Yellow is a mystery to me. Maybe it's all they had handy to melt down.
  2. That isn't what I asked, so I will be clearer. I would like to examine the door for a keyhole. If it has one, perhaps the person who is currently in possession of the key could try it while we all stand around waiting.
  3. Would this door have a small keyhole to match the small key we found, and if so, may we try it?
  4. Exactly. What a silly reasoning for murdering someone without evidence. We are all missing our families. If anyone was not likely to admit that, it would be a deserter trying to hide his feelings. The Private's openness only shows that he is honest with his emotions, which is not a sign of guilt or innocence. I will not be making that vote without something more than nonsense. You do make a point there, though. No activity on the surface and then a little blood in the water and the sharks circle fast.
  5. Theme speculation and general "OMG, they should make!", such as it is, occurs here. Closed.
  6. That sounds like a potential disaster. If my shotgun prying idea can't work... LET'S DO IT! *wacko*
  7. Poor, poor Sheldon. HEY! There is a voice, there is, I tell you! And it has a Swedish accent! *cough* If it seems possible to achieve without bending the barrel, perhaps we could pry the lever with the shotgun?
  8. The freakin' picture wasn't loading for me. Though honestly, saying that he doesn't look back gives the impression that his not looking back was unusual in some way (like he's possessed by a demon or having a fit of gas or he's spotted a kitten to drown in whiskey) and that he was close enough to have been whackable.
  9. I'd like to hit Johnson Willoughby in the head with the very large femur I took earlier. HARD. Just trust me on this, folks, something bad is happening here.

  11. If you don't already know anything about the book, how much will a lot of info in the first post help? It's like people replying to topics about movies they haven't seen, it's useless.
  12. I am seeing disturbing things. The deserters are obviously up to more than just deserting or they would just desert. No, they are killing us, which can only aid the enemy of our country. The Provost Guard, whom are entrusted to such things seem to be without power. Fingers are making the wild pointing without evidence and we are starting to not trust each other. We are running out of the sausages! Let us not panic. Someone must know something. I have been able to, through somewhat roundabout means, determine one loyalty, and he is a good and honourable soldier, so for now, I am only fully trusting him, but I will not makes names or he may be a target like our poor Captain. If someone is knowing something and wishes to attempt an alliance against these sausage-haters, please feel free to toss a potato message at my tent.
  13. Perhaps a few of us could link our belts together and lasso it, allowing us to pull it from a distance. If only we had a coyboy in the group to help. *looks at the tour guide*
  14. Worst fear for a license? Your face. Like Svelte said, no "worst" topics, they suck.
  15. I think we should throw a revolution if he hits 8000 and start him all over again.
  16. Thanks! They were fun to do but I haven't made any new ones in ages, lots of other responsibilities and less time and all. You can always request some in the pinned topic here and someone will probably help out. All requests for decals should go there. Good luck and welcome to EB!
  17. Ah, like something pulled the statue up the wall and into the ceiling! I wish we could examine the ceiling, but let's try to keep this in mind should we find a room above this one. Library now?
  18. Noooo! Not LeCoq! I am never forgetting the nights we spent in his tent as he helped me with my rifle handling and as we would walk back to my tent, I would hear the other men calling out," oh, yes, LeCoq!" and knew how we all respected him. This is an outrage! We must find who did this without pause, without rest, without sausages! Well, maybe some energy would be good, so we can have the sausages. I am hoping someone has made the useful learning in the night and can guide us quietly towards these bastards!
  19. Hmmm... this topic does seem both a bit sexist and manipulative, to tell the truth, but I can understand the desire to share something with someone who might not already be interested, so taken in that light it's not so bad. Just don't try to be sneaky or tricky about it or I can guarantee you, it'll backfire in the long run. You can't make anyone like anything forever. With Alice, I just made a point of trying to find the things in LEGO that I thought she would be interested in and exposed her to them casually. Not all at once or you risk overwhelming someone, just a little here and there. "Hey, look at this pony!" or "What do you think of this set?" and, fortunately, it was like discovering a hidden natural interest she'd just never explored and next thing you know, she was showing me auctions and sets. That's about as lucky as you can get.
  20. Ok, so that's 140 ideas you've been given now. Once you build them all and post them for everyone to enjoy, come back for more. Until then, no more "coming soon" or "tell me what to do" topics. Thanks!
  21. Are these official and if so, who ended up with extras of these lovely items for those of us who couldn't possibly make it? Please PM me so we can discuss it further.
  22. Let's see... I come to EB via the forum index and immediately hit new topics in one tab and new messages in the other. I then open all the new topics I want to view in new tabs and all the messages in new tabs. I then open all the topics in the messages in new tabs. I then open the admin control panel in a new tab to deal with those people who posted the messages that were reported in the messages that are all in new tabs. I then start a new topic in a new tab while putting the person in the taking a break group in a new tab. Hilarity ensues.
  23. Now we're getting somewhere! The strange tracks are probably from the animal thing that killed Jack before running out, losing a tooth, and eventually sneaking back in. Now... about that east wall! I'd like to examine it closely, feeling along the cracks and edges for any kind of button, switch, loose rock, missing tile or even just some blood marks. Something that would help it open. If I find such a thing, I'd like to use it. If that doesn't work, I'd like someone else to volunteer to run into it at full speed to see if it will rotate. I'm sure it'll be fine. Any volunteers?
  24. Now see, that's good thinking! Let's examine the floor around the statues for drag or scuff marks, disturbances in the dust, anything that seems recent and out of place. Let's also check the walls where they were to see if they revolve or move somehow. Since that large stone altar thing could raise out of the floor, I figure the walls might move too. I'm fairly certain I saw that in a documentary on ancient stone buildings once. Or maybe it was Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein. Either way, same lesson.
  25. Sure, it's much more rational to imagine that they are possessed by the spirits of demons or something and walked out on their own. Statues. Not big skeletons mind you, I might almost make an exception for that, no, statues that are carved of completely solid materials. How silly of me. Someone had time to kill Jack and put a skeleton outside. We don't know how many people we're dealing with here, so it's not that hard to imagine. Did you know that hair isn't attached to a skeleton, it's attached to this yellow stuff we call skin? If you can't believe a person or group of people had time to move the statues, why are you willing to believe that they had time to completely gut and strip a body? Do you have any idea how long that takes? I do, and it's more than the time they had. I will agree that the statues are probably hidden somewhere, however, so at least we have that. Secret passages outside? No doubt there are passages somewhere, but I don't think that searching outside will find them. The thing that ran from the temple came out the entrance, it could have simply gone out by secret passage if there was one leading out. I second the suggestion to go to the library and stop wasting time.
