  1. Imagine if you will, a boring little button on which the words: I VOTED TODAY! were printed. Imagine also, a lame @$$ blog that noticed the whoopdiedoo amount of traffic his little pic must have suddenly got him, and stopped it. >:-( *yoda* *y* Lamer *n*
  2. Should I mention the Freudian symbolism behind lollipops? >:-) >:-) >:-)
  3. 1x4 reddish brown tile with rope pattern. Or tan snakes. Or rubber bands. I'm going back to ropes. Or tree roots. *wacko* Something more useful than speculation? Go build something! *y*
  4. Just the motorcycle or his hat would be 10 times better than anything they've sent so far.
  5. Announcer: When we last joined Fabuland Veterinarian's Hospital... Nurse Collette: Doctor, doctor, this is terrible! Doctor Hinckley: What happened nurse? Did we lose the patient? Nurse Collette: Worse, his insurance was turned down! Doctor Hinckley: *gasp* Sinner (still groggy): What's going on here? I have no body! Doctor Hinckley: At least you didn't lose your head over it! *everyone laughs* Sinner: That isn't funny, I need my body, it's very useful! Nurse Collette: Funny, doesn't do a thing for me! *everyone laughs* Sinner: I'm serious! Doctor Hinckley: Really? Well I'm Doctor Hinckley, but you can just call me when my tee time is up! *everyone almost laughs, Sinner groans* Doctor Hinckley: Nurse, prepare the anesthesia! Nurse Collette: *grabs an oar* Sinner: Aren't there any other options? Doctor Hinckley: It's this, oar nothing at all! *everyone laughs* Announcer (as everyone looks around for the mysterious voice coming from out of the shadows): That concludes another exciting episode of Fabuland Veterinarian's Hospital! Next week we'll hear: Doctor Hinckley: I once lost a patient in Cleveland. Nurse Collette: You've never even been to Cleveland. Doctor Hinckley: I know, it came as quite a shock to me too! *everyone laughs* *camera fades*
  6. Ok, first off, I think you knocked the, uh, cherries out of him. X-O Second, I have a song stuck in my head... Someone will pay for this. >:-) *sing* Disco On! *sing*
  7. I actually like 'the fighter' aka hoverthruster ship a lot. If it had that big gun from what the hell??? the aerial tank, I'd love it more ;-) The mech is pretty solid looking too, aside from the colour scheme, which obviously was forced by the set selection. It does give it the "built by students out of spare parts to fight off the evil hordes of invading mutant dinosaurs" look though, so A+ for interpretation. Thrusters. Yep. Them's thrusters. So, did I mention how much I liked the fighter? X-D Space may or may not be your thing, certainly can't tell from a first attempt, but you did cover mecha well, and I think potentially you should dabble in steampunk. And guns. All of your guns are very good. Overall, an impressive effort! *y* Almost wish I'd voted for it... :-P
  8. A true honour, yay me! *y* Nope, not saying a word. Not a single word... :-P Creative Editing On! Oh, and post edited because I really despise the quoting system here. Grrr.
  9. Their webmaster gets perverse pleasure making things appear and disappear randomly on us... |-/
  10. What a nice port! While I realise it was intended as more of a PotC setting, it would be absolutely perfect for some kind of thread based adventure story. I do agree that the buildings need to be set a bit further back, perhaps with some kind of sea wall protection between them and the actual water. Great job rigging that ship. I know it isn't easy working with that particular hull, but good rigging pulls the eye up and away from it, giving it a very nice look. I look forward to more of this great project!
  11. Clearly this community has some very creative people, which shouldn't be too surprising I guess. Waterfalls On! *y*
  12. Jedi Jimmy evil? Aw... he looks so happy! Well, he looks like a maniac, so maybe. Obi Wan is clearly at the top of his game and Jimmy ... well, we've never heard from him again, so after a decently entertaining battle, Jimmy falls off a cliff, with that same expression still on his face. "YEEEEEHAAAAAAAAWWWW," he screams, as he hurtles to his death. Crazy jedi.
  13. You people need to think bigger. I'm currently building Earth on a 1:1 scale. So far I've finished Cleveland. *wacko*
  14. Exactly! I really like that mixer, but the rest has been junk. Bionicle last time nearly pushed me over the edge >:-(
  15. Or you could just post after them a lot. It's like stalking, but you can act all innocent about it when they get suspicious. Well, unless you reply to one of them describing how to stalk them without seeming like it. Crap! >:-( *in an attempt to be less suspicious, puts plan B into effect and uses one of his favourite Return of the Jedi quotes* 'Fly Casual' On! *y* ps. I never noticed how close my reg #/date and Sinner's are ... man, he's one chatty walrus X-D
  16. An enigma, wrapped in a puzzle, and punctuated with a question mark. A pirate? A spy? A jedi from the future? A nutcase dressed up funny? If I explained more, it wouldn't be mysterious. It'll be changing soon anyway ...
  17. That really does sound like two of those great new bikes, one for Indy and dad, one for a generic bad guy in all tan or grey or something. I'm still hoping they make Toht in a set. I think I'm looking forward to him more than anything, just for one part ... Black Hat On!
  18. It runs a year, but it doesn't run for a calendar year. Meaning, it starts whenever you sign up and ends a year later, no matter when it was. I joined last year and it was mostly useless. With the 'licensed' rumour this year, when mine came due I called and signed up for another year. I did ask the rep on the phone if she knew anything about it and she acted like we could expect something along those lines in the next year, but couldn't be specific. She may have just been saying what she knew I wanted to hear to make the sale. Sadly, the phone reps are rarely informed when it comes to anything in the future. I signed up anyway. If they dupe me this year, I'm out.
  19. Do we know about sets 4991 or 4992? I couldn't find either in search, sorry if this has been mentioned somewhere. Edit: Knew I should have searched for Magic Box instead of the set numbers. Oh well, merge these into some thread about that and colour us jealous that we don't have this particular fast food place for these neat little promos. They remind me of the old days of tiny sets, sort of like that Impulse thing I remember hearing about ... http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildin...ons/4517033.pdf http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildin...ons/4517054.pdf One figure, tiny vehicle (though better than some of the old ones of that size). But what does 'Magic Box' mean?
  20. Actually, since he purchased it on eBay, it didn't end up free or cheap, so he can certainly complain. Further, no company gives anything away free. You can bet that every one of those is being paid for by all of us when we purchase other sets. Might even be why the minifig count seems a bit stingy this year, though I think that's just because they know they can get away with it and we'll still buy.
  21. I think Town Plan could still be modular related. For one thing, those inventories are never completel. I've had to request missing parts before and not been able to find them in the online list (forcing me to manually describe them in the box below that). Back in the 60s LEGO made big layouts for blocks of a city and included them in appropriate sets. This was before road baseplates. I think Town Plan was a name it had been occasionally referred to by. Based on the parts assortment, I'm almost 100% certain this set includes a gas station. It could easily have some road plates and be intended to fill in the gaps around buildings, while providing one new one that wouldn't need to ever connect modularly, since it would take up it's own block. Whatever it is, with 400 different types of parts, it's going to be big. Otherwise, this could easily be something like 1592, just updated and for normal System instead of modular. Either way, it looks like a winner.
  22. I can't review it, I'm not up to this episode yet. Sadly, my connection makes reading them time consuming and as I wait for the next picture to load, I've already read the caption. Sometimes that ruins the effect. Until I make the effort to download the lot of them locally, I will continue to fall behind... :'-( I can say this ... if your big concern is the photography, I bet it's fine. The tiny sample shot you provided looks great, bondagariffic even! >:-) You take such great pictures normally that these could be half out of focus, from weird angles, and too dark and still be better than what most people take, and I mean that. We'd just say that it was a creative phase you were in. Hinckley Noir, perhaps. Noir ... Suddenly I'm hoping for a flashback episode of the Whacker and the Walrus. Set years earlier, all filmed in magically mysterious black and white, explaining the deep dark secret no one dares speak of... oooh. Please feel free to steal this idea, heck, I really hope you do! Go on, you know you want to, all the other kids are doin' it ;-)
  23. Critical Reviewer On! Spoiler Mode On! The first scene was clearly the director folding to outside concerns and practicing a little product placement. I don't know how much the clam cream people paid for it, but they got their moneys worth in this finely crafted bit. I definitely enjoyed the next scene as well. While the transition from the previous episode to this one is somewhat unclear, the idylic scene of two reunited friends enjoying a day together was certainly pleasant. Of course, all can't stay peaceful in this land, and quickly things hilariously turn to bloodshed and head injury, though accidental. From here things get a little rockier. We've been led, to this point, to think that the boys are friends again, but clearly the bucket situation hasn't been resolved. Why are they getting along so well with this hanging over their friendship? We have a lot of Walrus whining and some new characters, but neither portion is completely satisfying, though at least they let us know of the continuing problem. Is there a hint of potential memory loss? The next scene returns to the format we know and love: plenty of gratuitous violence to please even the most discerning viewer. Love the array of implements of destruction! We end on a high point as Sinner once again shows his charming ways with a woman and clearly the promise of more violence to come. All in all, a fine effort, well directed, well cast (plaster or not), taking place on beautifully constructed sets, but just a tiny bit 'off' in motivation. I'm not entirely sure the boys can truly be friends again until 'the bucket' has been resolved. It's like a cloud of nervous tension that should always been driving Sinner, until it takes over completely and madness ensues. Yes ... madness *laughs an evil laugh* *cough* Um, sorry there. <Critical Reviewer Off!> <Spoiler Off!> Seriously, I liked it, I just didn't 'feel' it quite like the first one. Perhaps that initial episode set expectations to a ridiculously high level, because looking back, this is clearly a good one, so I should be raving more. It's not you, it's me. We can still be friends, it's just different now ... :'-) :-D :-D :-D Keep up the good work! *y*
  24. *stumbles into the room* So guys, guess what I just found ... 8-
