  1. Very cute indeed! Let's see... Whimsical. Colourful. Chock full of detail. Something that isn't quite what you expect. Frog. Yep, that's Fabulandtastic. Must pick up one of those windmill pieces, no doubt about it. Now that we're clear on just how lazy your mouse is, always spending his days lounging around with his friend, the frog, it'll be fascinating to see his remodelled house!
  2. As Bluebard says, it all depends on what you want. Personally, I really love Broadside's Brig for it's simplicity, even bought it recently myself, but I had a fair number of sets before that. Still, it says a lot that it could impress me at this point. If you really want a set, you have lots of options on Bricklink, or, better still in some ways, eBay. If you check the bottom of any pirates forum page, you'll see lots of eBay listings and some of them end quite affordably, even sets. Alternately, you could build up some pirate minifigs instead, just picking up the more unique parts it would take to make some small structures on your own. Best choice of all, though... get just enough to build your own Impulse, Small and Large entries for "A Pirate's Life!" and try to win some more! Sneaky, huh?
  3. I like this a lot. It feels complete, self contained, even desolate, like it's in the middle of nowhere. It's run down, but it's clearly cared for, like a remote station subjected to the elements. If you did want to give the white a more weathered look, you could add a few tan logs, but honestly, it doesn't need it, it looks great just like it is! About the only thing missing is a water tower. Maybe you could build one that would be like a small seperate set addition. Have you considered building the train that visits this station or the town it services? Would love to see more of your work.
  4. Dragonator: It seems that I have invented both a place and a dragon in your kingdom. Marghan is a dragon, of unstated class, who stands guard at a place called Hawk's Pass, just at the southernmost point of Dragon Masters territory in M-10, if that isn't too much trouble. I have made it clear that we will be passing that way, and that he may not be aware of our mission. I've never been too clear on that anyway, realising that you are clearly running this meeting without the King's involvement (since he's senile and manipulated), so if the dragon is loyal to the king, we may be in trouble. If, on the other hand, he is aware, as I hope he is, he will allow our passage without incident. Either way, we're passing, just tell me how you'd prefer it. Oh, and where is that meeting? Aluvar gets lost on long trips, and he's forgotten. Again. We're finally making good time, we just aren't sure where to. Whitefang: Pinky, while heading toward Crown castle, has made a quick visit to Diana and Siloux. He recognised her and almost accidentally revealed her true self, but she diverted the issue and he left without doing so. He couldn't have really helped with the battle anyway, and he has to get to Crown castle. I would suggest having Siloux distribute his blessed arrows to the archers in hopes that a single shot, from all of them at the same time, could weaken the possessed boy enough that Diana can finish the job, whether it be to somehow drive out the demon or simply kill them both. Just my idea of things. I am introducing a new angle to the story. Bluervo and Wernst have been captured, in castle town, by skellies in disguise. They may already be dead, or maybe the head skellie is telling the truth and only intends to talk to them. What could he have to say? You'll have to check in tomorrow to find out just what will happen, but I guarantee, it isn't what you expect.
  5. L-11 Black Falcon territory Northern side of Garsmar Bridge Well, it took us an extra couple of days, but we're finally around the gorge. A worthy detour, I would say. Oh yes, no doubt. Now we can follow this road northeast until we reach Hawk's Pass. Is that a village? Not exactly. Why don't I like the sound of this? Honestly, it's just a landmark, nothing sinister about it. That's good to hear. I'm sure I can reason with Marghan, he's a smart one. Marghan? The dragon assigned to watch the southern border of Dragon Masters territory. Dragon... Well, we do have a letter, and we are on a mission to meet with their King. Actually, we aren't. What? King Tiberius sent us! Oh yes, that isn't the part in dispute. It's who we're meeting. I don't understand. He met with a representative of the Dragon Masters King, didn't he? It's all very complicated. Let us hope that he has been informed of the situation before we arrive. Right... No worries, even if he hasn't, our letter will make it appear that we are authorized to pass, assuming... Assuming? Just thinking aloud, like I say, no worries. I'm feeling better already. L-13 Black Knight territory Majestic Tower Pinky arrives at an open window to Pent Heartstrong's tower. Flying inside, he finds the room empty. Well, great. I fly all the way here and no one is around to welcome me. Some hospitality! Where can he be? I'll try the throne room. Pinky flies out the window and to another, taller tower, but finds all of the windows closed. Tap, tap, tap. Bah, now I'm a freakin' raven. The King, hearing the noise at his window, sends a serving maiden over to determine the cause. It's a bird! A big pink bird! Pink? Aluvar! Open the window! The bird is named Aluvar? Funny name for a bird. Open the window! Yes, your majesty ... a pink bird named Aluvar ... sounds like a joke. The maiden opens window and Pinky flies inside, landing on a small table. I have a message from Aluvar! WHAT? It's a talking pink bird! SORCERY! The maid passes out. Hmmm... she's a flighty one. You're a fine one to talk. Oh, haha, are you sure you're the King and not some overstuffed court jester? You aren't the most well mannered bird, are you? No, I'm not. Want the message? Yes, go on. What? I'm supposed to read it to you? It's in the vial around my neck. Fine, come closer. The King removes the note and begins reading. Hmmm... Visions, demons, magic weapons, I'm not sure I understand how Flynt can help with all of that, but I will trust his judgement. Good enough. I've got to go now! Pinky flies out the window and begins heading south toward Crown castle. Abrupt one, he was. L-14 Black Knight territory Near the entrance of Green Valley Hmmm... seems to be some commotion down there. Oh, it's the boy. Pinky watches as the boy kills a soldier. But not the boy... I wonder if I can do anything to help. Ah, a familiar face, I'll go speak to them. Pinky flies down, landing between Diana and Siloux. Hello all, long time no see. Do we know you? A talking bird! I bet you're with that crazy old man I met when I first began my journey! That I am, but I wasn't talking to you. You were speaking to me? Yes, but it's been a while. You couldn't possibly know me. I never forget a face, even when it's changed, Pr... Diana coughs, interrupting Pinky. She gives him a meaningful look. Hmmm... Maybe I am mistaken after all. I am just a dumb bird. Yes, well, we have important matters to deal with here, that boy is possessed. I would suggest having the archers use those blessed arrows to weaken the boy with a single shot from all of them at the same time. An interesting idea that we will consider, but this is not the time for further discussion. Yes, I see that you have matters in hand, I think I should continue on my journey. Good day and good luck. Thank you, Pinky. Pinky flies south, toward Castle town. How did you know his name? Erm... just a hunch. Hmmm... K-19 Crown territory Castle Town As Bluervo and Wernst make their way back to the castle, they're ambushed by two cloaked figures who grab Wernst. A third figure stands behind watching, while holding a cage, then speaks in a raspy voice. You will surrender, bird, or we'll kill him. SQUAWK! Don't play the fool, we know you understand us. Who are you? We are... a cleaning crew. We we're sent to take care of loose ends. You are one. I'm sorry, Wernst, this is too important to allow myself to be captured. One of the cloaked figures pulls out a very nasty looking knife and puts it to Wernst's throat. GO BIRD! Save the kingdom, leave me! I... I can't... Bluervo lands on top of the cage. A wise decision. We have no intention of harming you, we just need to discuss matters. Get inside the cage. Bluervo catches a glimpse of the bony wrist attached to the gloved hand holding the cage. Skellies? You're skellies and you've managed to slip undetected into town? How? Quiet, bird. Not another word from you until we have reached our destination. We will speak then. The third figure quickly covers the cage with a blanket. The three of them, with their new found captives, turn around and head back down the alley. No one comes out of it.
  6. Oh no, go back a post, I've just simplified things for all of us. AND! Since someone was kind enough to fix the 4th tag situation, shouldn't you have a customizer tag? You've certainly earned it, and now there is room.
  7. Since you indicated that there was the potential to change things, I filed it under Works in Progress, which appears further down the list. Is it certified complete now? Edited to add: Oh, heck with it. New rule! If I'm uncertain that you're absolutely done with your MOC, I'll index but not thumbnail it. So if you mention wanting to try something different, or still needing to do something, don't be surprised if you aren't thumbnailed for a bit. Fair? That said, I just went ahead and moved all the works in progress to completed and thumbnailed them, so if you make a major change, please notify me.
  8. Let's see ... Yes! Zorro! Steam trains History buff Tan baseplates I realise that #'s 2 and 3 contradict each other, but I'd like both anyway. No reason we can't have a multidimentional return to WW. I think it might even be the thing that would make it work. Give one end the towns (ghost or not), mines, and trains with cavalry, cowboys and indians. Throw in some Chinese to lay the train tracks and settlers in wagons. How about a buffalo? Give the other end Zorro sets with a Mexican army, some native population and borderline Pirate influences. I'd take a donkey. Wouldn't you? Give them both some normal citizens. And please give me tan baseplates. I'm tired of buying used ones, and I'm tired of them all being 16x32. I want some 32x32's without tracks or a river! (though I'm glad to have both) Bring it back, bring it all back and then some!
  9. Sweet! Looks like the Fabuland Builders Guild can look forward to another member soon, and more love of the Fabuland, which is what really matters! I am now reminded how much I've always wanted a set of those saddlebags.
  10. Corset would! Hmmm... giving me ideas here.
  11. Very nice! The Adventurer's line offers a lot of reuse possibilities in Indy, Pirates, Town, and other themes, so they're great decals to have. It's interesting to compare your version of Alexis with mine (I'm fairly sure that in all the years since she was made, no one had made her and then we both did ). One of the things that stands out, to me, is how there are a couple of slight differences based on the printing of the source we used. Comparing a couple of them online, I see that there really are small variations between them, despite probably not really being different except in the quality of printing. Of course, I still don't antialias... For some reason, in my mind, I have to control every pixel, one by one, and if I want a line to be a colour, it has to all be that colour, even if it looks better 'smoothed' out by varying shades around it. It's why I started off at 600dpi, knowing that it would smooth out when printed. I did try making a decal using vectors once, and it was very smooth and nice, but it seemed to lose details. I may have to continue experimenting. I've only recently started playing with gradients in decals, after seeing some of your work. What does all of this have to do with the Adventurers? Well, um... Nice decals!
  12. Welcome to another fun and exciting episode of EB News Presents! I'm your host, Aluvar imperialshadows, asking the questions and generally getting our broadcasting license revoked will be Staudie, and our special guest this evening is Brainbox! As most of you didn't notice, we weren't on last week. After 182 consecutive episodes, I needed a little break from the kid, you know. We haven't done 182 episodes. It sure feels like it. You know, it's odd, but it seems like we're not broadcasting. You know what it is... it's those little lights on the cameras. They aren't on. That's odd. Let's check this out. imperialshadows walks over to the nearest camera and begins talking to the operator. So, uh, why aren't you filming? I got a note from the owner of the station saying not to use the cameras. Why not? They say it's a waste of electricity and with the price of things today, it's more economical not to run them. I see. It's more economical to run a tv station without tv cameras. Right. Like, we're a radio station now? Oh no, I don't think so. We never play music, that would take licensing fees. Too expensive, again. Guess we're on a pretty tight budget. Yeah. Why are we paying you to be here and not film then? I, uh... I have a contract! That's it. Staudie doesn't even have a contract. Is that a problem? Nope, makes sense to me. Well, enjoy the show, you're about the only one that will get to see it. Well, I wasn't really watching, I'm working on a crossword puzzle. Really? Do you know a 10 letter word starting with U that means 'out of work'? Hmmm... Unemployed! I see what you mean. I look forward to watching today's show, boss! Much better. So, folks, at least you can still hear me. I guess we'd better get started, and maybe we'll get them to let us put up some slides during the show occasionally, so you can see something. Is that my cue? *smacks Staudie with a broom* No, that is. Sorry I asked. Q. Why the name Brainbox? Are you a box in a brain? A Brained box? Also what is up with the sigfig? A. Well, at school (I'm at college now) I was always 'the clever one', both amongst my friends and just other people in general. This was reflected in my exam scores, coursework marks, etc. and that view of me stuck. Now at college, my two best friends are both of a similar 'intelligence level' to me, so it's not always that noticeable. The name though, I don't really know why I chose it. It's not something I've ever been called, save once or twice by people. I guess it was just the first thing I thought of when I joined. Yeah, the story's that boring. The sigfig is just me. It's quite boring compared to some people's I know, but I like him/me. It enables me to use him as me Brainbox when I'm on here, and as me Sam when I'm not. And of the few people who've seen him, all have commented on how much he actually looks like me. It's scary! You should have your liver checked. Huh? It's a joke. I don't get it. You never do. Here... Jaundice. Q. What is this I have been hearing about your mini vigs? A. Ah, yes. I quite like displaying minifigs, on my desk and such, and I wanted to come up with a way of doing it that wasn't just "stand them there". So I came up with these mini-vigs, a minifig on a 4x4 base (hence the mini- part) with a small scene or something around them (hence the -vig part). The challenge is creting something that looks good, does your favourite mini-fig(s) justice, and is relevant to said fig. I've only got 5 at the moment (although the one of me has been folded into something else), and you can see them here. I plan on doing more in the future, just as soon as I get a bit of desk space back! Oh, and everyone feel free to try it. Oh yeah, I like those. I kept meaning to build some more. And take pictures of the ones I did. Q. DOCTOR WHO? A. "Just The Doctor." Sorry, couldn't resist. No, it's a fantastic ( ) programme, the best British sci-fi has to offer. And it's been going 44 years last November. It's basically about a 900-1000 year old alien (there are some discrepancies in his true age) who travels through time and space in a space-time machine called the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space), usually with at least one human companion. He can regenerate, gaining a new body if a fatality befalls the current one, but this can only happen 12 times (13 incarnations). Possibly his greatest enemies are the Daleks, but I don't think I need to tell you who they are. There... the whole of Doctor Who in 5 lines! It must seem to people around me that I have an encyclopedic knowledge of all things Doctor Who, not to mention DC Comics and to a lesser extent Transformers. Perhaps I do, perhaps I don't, but it seems like it. So what if I can name 16 types of Kryptonite, and read and write translitterated Kryptonian? No really, I can. We were planning a sci-fi baseball team. Oh really? Who's on first? Right. No, I'm asking, Who's on first? Yes, he is. Who is? Right (if we're going to be a radio show, we might as well act like one!) Q. How long have you collected lego? A. Since I was about 4 or 5, so about 12-13 years. I was into Duplo when I was young, and my parents ordered these two sets as part of a Ready Brek promo, a Castle catapult and a Pirate raft. This was when I was about 3, but they kept the sets till I was a little older. Sadly, they didn't keep the boxes or the instructions, and if they're promo sets I certainly can't trace them. Of course, they may not be promo sets, in which case I'd better keep looking. I know they were a raft and a catapult, as there are pieces in my collection I can't account for set wise, other than these. Yes, I even have an encyclopedic knowledge of my collection. After that, I got a building tub, and the rest is history. Q. What are your 3 favourite sets? A. It's difficult to say, especially as I have so few official sets (MODed or otherwise) actually on display. But if I had to choose, I would say, in no particular order: 1. 7015 Viking Warrior challenges the Fenris Wolf. I don't really know why I like this set so much, but I just do. It was one of the first Viking sets I bought, along with 7017 (Nidhogg Dragon), so maybe that's part of it. I do have a fondness for the small sets in general though. 2. 7783 The Batcave. This was the first Bat-set I bought, and I was really impressed. It's Batman and it's Lego, two of the things I love, so what can be better than that? And it's what inspired me to develop my (currently WIP) Batcave shelf. 3. 4483 AT-AT. It's one of the few of my official sets on display that hasn't been excessively MODed. The only changes I've made are small and can be seen here. Okay, yeah, so the neck connection is a little fragile (the number of times the head's fallen off ), there are yellow parts visible if I open the side door, the head panels are a bit 'flappy', there are only two Snowtroopers... but I love it. I bought it shortly after it came out, with birthday money, and it's just a fantastic set. I guess I could have just said "It's an AT-AT" Q. What is your Favourite Theme? A. I'm not one of those people who devotes to one theme and one theme alone. I like a mix of everything. But at the moment, I'd probably say Batman. Like I said before, it's Batman and it's Lego. You really don't know how long I've wished I could own a Lego Batman, ever since I first saw the 60s movie all those years ago. And now it's happened. Q. Best In Real Life Lego Moment? A. I'm tempted to say something that's a bit of a cliche, like "finishing building [a MOC]" or "finding [a set] on sale". But I won't. I can't say "meeting a fellow AFOL" because sadly it's not happened. So instead, I'll settle for "people I know taking an interest in my hobby." At school, people knew about my hobby, but didn't really make anything of it. If I showed my friends something on my BS, they'd just look at it, tell me it was good, and get on with whatever they were doing. Even when people came over to my house, the Lego issue was tackled, then ignored. But now I'm at college, it's a whole different ball-game. People are generally more accepting of others hobbies, etc. One of my friends, for example, likes to go shooting (not gangland), while another likes football. Now, I'm not a fan of either, but I will listen to them talk about it. Similarly, they listen to me talk about my hobbies; comics, Lego, Doctor Who, etc. That's always a good feeling, because save for here, I've never had that before. My best friend came over to mine for about an hour the other week, while he waited for a train (my house is nearer the station than his is). That hour was basically spent with him looking at all my Lego. And that felt really good, because I could get all enthusiastic about it. He said the day after that I had more than he'd imagined, even after I'd said several times before that I "had a lot." Q. And, for that matter, your best EB moment? A. Again, it's just nice being here, talking about my hobby and stuff. But it's always fun to talk to Batbrick in the numerous threads we manage to railroad into a discussion about Batman or Super-hotties (if you don't know, don't ask ) or whatever. It's also a good moment finding out that we've got away with it for another day. Q. What sets would you like to see TLC produce? A. More Batman. Simple as. I want, more villains, more locations, more allies, more Bat-vehicles, the lot. I'd also like to see the Batman licence expand into a full DC licence. Maybe some have a couple of sets for each major hero, a simple hero/villain set, a mid-sized set dependant on the hero and a location set, and pack a few villains and allies in each set. Say for Superman, have Supes versus a few villains as the small set, the Fortress of Solitude as the base set, and the Daily Planet offices as the 'other' set. For Wonder Woman, have Diana versus some villains as the small set, her invisible plane as the mid-sized set, and some buildings from Themiscyra or the DEO as the base set. There could be some special 'team' sets with a base and some rogues as well, for the League, the JSA, the Titans, etc. All wishful thinking though. Q. Star Trekkin' Across the universe? A. Of course, but only in the NCC-1701 original. Never much cared for the spin-off series. It's worse than that, he's dead, Jim, dead, Jim, dead, Jim... it's worse than that he's dead, Jim, dead, Jim, dead... Ahem. Q. Can we see your lair? A. I prefer to call it a 'control centre' But yes, you can. I'll just go and find the camera... *much photographing, photo editing and uploading later* Here we go: my lair aka my bedroom. Points of note: 1. My bin needs emptying 2. I don't like all that stuff on the left hand side of my desk. It needs to go on a shelf, but I don't have one free. I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to order and tidiness. 3. That's this PM on the screen. 4. There's a water stain near the fron left corner shaped remarkably like a Lego pirate ship hull. That's because it is. 5. There are some very dusty areas of my desk aren't there? 6. See if you can spot any previewed MOCs in there. The first of the missing walls. And the second. BATMAN! More pics here. Q. How's Castle month lookin to you? A. I'll be honest, I've never been much into Castle. But the new sets, both this year and last (but more this year) are really changing my mind. Castle month is looking nice, and I may see if I can rustle something up before it finishes. Q. Am I Annoying? A. Mate, my best friend doesn't always know when to shut up. If I can put up with that, I can put up with anything! Staudie knows when to shut up. Yeah, when that vein in his neck ... hey, it's doing it now. Oh... Q. Who should we Interview Next? A. Oh there are so many nice people here, who can I suggest? How about more of our younger generation, like Lord Thrawn, JoeM16 or The Kid? And there you have it! You know, it wasn't really so bad doing this as a radio show, matter of fact, it was a lot easier not having to put on all that makeup and stuff. Yeah, I didn't even have to dress for the occasion. True, though I wish you'd worn pants... *the camera, despite not actually being on, falls over*
  13. As we continue, Flynt will be going on with the group, even though it technically means going against his orders. I'm sure Aluvar's letter will take care of that. We're heading toward Hawk's Pass, once I figure out where that is. Do we have any activity at all in Black Falcon territory? Bluervo has certainly made an important discovery that puts us a bit closer to the source of the internat treachery in Crown kingdom, but will he make it back to the King to report it?
  14. K-12 Black Knight's Territory Western Edge of the Garsmar Gorge Seems we've reached the end of the gorge sooner than I expected and will be able to continue north into Black Falcon territory. Yes, I suppose my duty has been fulfilled. Still... You wish to continue on with us? I do, but my orders are to return to Majestic Tower once you have left Black Knight lands. I could send one of the birds to the King with a message. I'm fairly sure I could word it in such a way as to guarantee that he would agree to allow you to continue. Would you really be willing to do that? Absolutely! A man of your skills will make the journey safer. I believe it is decided then. Aluvar pulls a letter from his sleeve. Seems like this is a little much for one of the birds to carry. I'll condense it and add on that we have encountered a situation for which your skills are perfectly suited, and that, if acceptable, we'll require your further assistance. We have? We will... Aluvar takes the new note and slips it in another small metal vial, which he places around Pinky's neck. Straight there, no stopping. Can I try to find Bluervo before returning? He's been gone a long time now. I... yes, that's a good idea. Matter of fact, I have a short message for King Tiberius as well. Aluvar tells Pinky the message for the King and sends him on his way. There we go, it's done. Northeastward, Grandoth, into Black Falcon territory. Follow the gorge until we reach Hawk's Pass. We'll be making our next stop there. On our way! Can I ask you something? Sure, lad. Did she really dream that we died? It would seem so. Her mother was similarly gifted. Does that mean that we're safe, that she'll dream anything bad before it happens and we can avoid it? Sadly, no. Her mother was remarkably gifted in that area, and she didn't foresee her own death. None of us did. Oh. The carriage continues to the northeast. K-19 Crown Territory Castle Town So, this is where it happened. Let me see if I understand, Wernst. You were following Flangdor, he turned the corner into this alley, but by the time you entered it, he was gone? Exactly! It's impossible! It's ... sorcery! That it could be. Then again, I'm a talking bird. Yes, it's a little strange to me. It's a little strange to me too, but you must admit, it would be harder if I was squawking. That's true. How long have you been able to talk like this? Oh, just since the beginning of the story. Story? Nevermind. It hasn't been long, though it isn't the first time. You've had an interesting life, haven't you? Oh, you have no idea. Bluervo begins flying around the scene, looking at it from a variety of angles. What buildings make up the walls of this alley? Well, over there is the Fabuland Builders Guildhall and on the opposite side is the Dusty Dagger pub. And what about the end of the alley? Oh, that's Crown church, one of the oldest buildings in castle town. Crown church? That's an interesting coincidence. What? I'm not sure, but I think I'd like to examine that wall more closely. Bluervo and Wernst begin examining the wall. Looks like a perfectly normal wall to me. What are we looking for? A secret door. A passage, a tunnel, something. I wouldn't know what to look for. I would. Matter of fact, if you'd be so kind as to press that dark stone to your right... Wernst pushes the dark stone, causing an internal mechanism to shift, changing the balance of a series of ropes and pulleys and causing a small section of wall to open. What? Who would create such a thing? Such things are common in old structures. Sometimes they were for making a hasty escape, or an unseen entrance. I suspect this has been used for both. It would be a wonderful way for someone to secretly meet someone else, don't you think? That it would, but what does it mean? It means the King is going to be very disappointed, very shortly. Can you give him the news? I don't even understand what it all means, but I don't enjoy the idea of disappointing his majesty. Of course I'll tell him. I'm just not sure how... After a few seconds, the weights controlling the secret door revert to their original positions and cause it to close. Bluervo and Wernst exit the alley, intending to return to Crown castle, completely unaware that their discovery did not go unnoticed.
  15. Well, the bit in the middle was a parody of Zork, and the score makes it clear that we're only about 1/5th of the way through our journey. Mind you, I plan to build up our score quickly, I don't think I could handle this going on another 4 times longer than it already has. I hate to tell you, but after this long, the injured boy is either dead or undead. If undead, as I suspect, he may still have an emotional tie to his living brother, and be protecting him, while struggling against the evil he has become. It could lead to an interesting subplot if you encounter them. Ah, but here's the question... was it a dream, a prediction, or real? For all we know, it happened and then some force rewound time to allow them another chance. Will we ever know the truth?
  16. When I see the name SlyOwl, I know I'm in for a unique MOC experience, usually involving death and destruction. :skull: Therefore, it came as a surprise to see such a peaceful scene out of our resident creative murderer, and yet, it was a pleasant one. Modern building techniques and the classic style of Fabuland come together in this colourful addition to the FBG. Plus, it's two for the price of one, we get a house and an airplane. Excellent! I'm not sure why I didn't know that they made that space wheel in blue, but it's a great way to accomplish the look in a single piece. The ice tray, carefully concealed yet subtly revealed is a great touch of Fabuland Edge for the well informed, and a source of confusion for the rest. Exactly the way it should be. Poor Charlie though. Clearly, he's had a few crashes on that beak. Welcome to the guild! We just hit double digits, as you are member #10. Congrats!

  19. Kept the plot simple today.
  20. L-11 Black Knight territory Nearing the border of Black Falcon territory Garsmar Bridge West of Red Valiant Fortress If you had known how easy the journey would be, I suppose you wouldn't have asked for the escort, eh? No no, I'm glad you came. I think it has been a learning experience for all of us. Yes, well, I'm actually pleased to have had the opportunity as well. Thank you, Aluvar. You're welcome Flynt, most certainly. It looks like this is where we part company. Once you cross Garsmar Bridge, you'll be in Black Falcon territory and I should go no further. Indeed. Before you go, I have a message for the King. Aluvar produces a lengthy letter from his sleeve and hands it to Flynt. No peeking. Haha, not all of us were born to wealth and learning, I can't read a word of it! Oh, yes, I'm sorry, I forget sometimes. It is no worry, my life is what I make it, and I feel like it will be even more now. I have no regrets. Good lad, I'm quite proud of you. Now get going, there is dust blowing in the area and it's effecting my eyes. Yes, I'm suffering a bit from it too. May your journey be rewarding and your days long! Flynt rides off on Flak, disappearing from sight. You really liked him, didn't you. He was a good lad, he just needed a bit of help to see his potential. You're a nice old man, you know that? Oh, shush dear. Grandoth, let's go! Yes sir, but it doesn't look like a very solid bridge. It's fine lad, just fine. If you say so. The carriage begins crossing the bridge. As they are midway across, a Black Wraith Demon appears from out of the woods on the other side, as well as one behind them. That's bad timing! Make haste Grandoth, get us across, even if you have to run the horses straight into that beast! The horses, either from sheer fear of the sight ahead of them, or out of some animal instinct, rear up, panicked. Both demons conjur large fireballs which they hurl, not at the carriage, but at the bridge supports, collapsing the Garsmar bridge. As the carriage plunges into the gorge below, Aluvar attempts to cast a teleportation spell, but the overwhelming presence of evil in the area prevents him from successfully doing so. With the exception of the birds, everyone dies. What do we do now? I don't know, I just don't know ... *** You have died. *** You scored 18 out of 100 points. Oh well, it seems you deserve another chance ... L-11 Black Knight territory Nearing the border of Black Falcon territory Garsmar Bridge West of Red Valiant Fortress Alyss wakes up with a start. Looking out the carriage window, she sees Flynt riding beside them. Where are we? Approaching Garsmar Bridge, miss. Oh no, not again... ALUVAR! STOP THE CARRIAGE! Grandoth stops the carriage, 100 yards short of Garsmar Bridge. Everyone gathers near the horses. What dear? Is something wrong? We're not crossing that bridge. If we go around the gorge, it'll add several days to our journey. I don't care, we can't cross that bridge, it's a trap. A trap? What are you talking about? I had a dream, a vision even. You gave Flynt a letter and he left. We started across the bridge. Demons attacked from both ends and we all plunged to our death. How could you know about the letter ... It would seem we aren't crossing that bridge after all. What of me? Do I continue on with you? It would seem that we are going to be travelling west until we can find a suitable way across the gorge, or going completely around it. Then you will be in Black Knight territory for at least another few days. I stay with you. Excellent. Seems a new direction is in order, west Grandoth, and make haste. There may be demons nearby. Yes sir! The carriage, still accompanied by Flynt, begins the westward detour.
  21. It would seem that I've finally gone over the edge ... the Fabuland Edge, that is! Thanks to LuxorV, who provided the appropriate Fabuland templates, I bring you my latest addition to the decal world, a Fabulandizing of a traditional minifig torso design. Similar, but different, and then some. The Fabuland Revolution Bike Club So far, it's just a couple of fronts, one standard and one 'edgy', plus a back logo that will bring tears to Hinck's eyes, either because it's so good or so bad, I'm not sure yet. So, there you have it. Any interest in more? I don't really know how to do exposed skin, because of the varying colours involved. Seems like anything made would have to be very character specific. If, for example, Lila Lamb wanted a halter top... Oh, let's just not go there. Fabuland Revolution On!
  22. Yay! I knew I'd drag you out! That you did! I really thought I had it dead on before, then you fixed the one glaring weakness. It's funny because the hips are exactly as wide as before, she just has a wider waist now, which makes it all flow better. Or, as I'll eternally refer to this project: "Does this decal make my butt look big?" She makes one improvement and ...
  23. He probably takes credit for inventing tudor as well...
  24. Thanks for all the great responses! I knew, with them side by side that B was the one, but it's good to get some outside confirmation. Alice is too shy to admit it, but she actually sketched the curve that I reworked to make the side curve that everyone likes so much, so I just figure I'll mention it myself until she comes along. Accurate Curves On!
  25. Welcome to EB! I may, if you post in less serious topics or fall off cliffs a lot, get you confused with the goofy yell, just so you know. Be sure to check out the Big Billboard o' Doom™ at the end of my post for some great ways to get involved in this wonderful community that you have joined!
