  1. Are there full-sized versions? I'm not a fan of STAMPs (STickers Across Mutiple Parts), so I was going to try it as a 2x2 next to a 2x2, keeping the width right for the keyboard. Problem is, the monitor is really too wide and the drives too narrow. I guess I'll resort to a 2x4 decal, but just hate that it goes across 2 tiles. Whatever the case, I'm working on it now, so keep an eye out for a new thread eventually. It looks good, I just need a better logo and drive markings shot to finish up.
  2. Thanks, glad you like them! A very good idea!
  3. Well, as you may recall, Flynt is actually one of your soldiers, and in time of emergency, I'm sure he would feel obligated to accompany you. I'm fairly sure that Grandoth can be talked into it. Bluervo is on his way with a message, I figure he could find them tonight and arrange for that. Heck, he might come along too. You need another smarthmouthed bird.
  4. I'm hoping that the inclusion of the term 'Brick Master' means it will be available to members as well, otherwise, why bother? It's kind of a pointless cobranding without actual Brick Master club participation. If I had to guess, there will be an edition of 500 stamped for the SDCC, then some unknown number sold by exclusive opportunity to order. I knew I missed one...
  5. Would this be the same people who 'gave out' the 500 gold C3P0's, but somehow large numbers of them ended up in the hands of 2 or 3 big eBay sellers who made a killing? Let's hope it's unrelated. Whatever the case, before we get a dozen of these threads, I'm going to merge it with an earlier one.
  6. Did I ever mention that I don't read what anybody else writes? Oh, and sure your post says that now, but what about after I edit it? Ok, I'll admit it, I read your latest entry, mostly because it had pretty pictures and that cute little baby Nizbet.
  7. Welcome to another rip roar'n, bronco bust'n, six gun shoot'n, somethin' or other'n... I can't do this. I really hate these theme episodes. Take 2! Look, you know who I am, I know who you are. You watch the show or I turn those pics over to your wife. Got it? Take 3! Do you suffer from dry, flaky scalp? Of course you do, unless you're some kind of sicko who would enjoy that... Take 4! Welcome to EB News Presents! This evening Staudie is going to dress up like a fool and interview some poor sucker he drags off the street. I don't know why you people even watch, but hey, it's your lives and it pays me well enough to afford this cape. Take 5! Staudie! Get out here! What is it boss? Who are we interviewing? Interviewing? I knew I forgot something. I do all the work around here. Ok, pull around to the stage door and I'll be out in a minute. We'll go find someone. It looks like we're going to be doing this live tonight, so come with me, and you can learn all about the exciting world of tv journalism. Or whatever it is we do here. Oh good, another excited guest. I'll stop him! Best part of the show so far. Looks like I'll have to take care of this personally. *Shadows fires up the EB News tractor beam, or in this case, covered-wagon beam* Might as well pull over, we have you now. is this how you people get your 'guests'? No, usually we have to fight them off. Well, at least one of them... Shut up and start the interview, ok? Q. WHERE ARE THE STAR WARS MINIFIGS HIDING? A. I don’t know. Which Star Wars minifigs?! What is Star Wars?! I only have my gun. But I didn’t know that you can shoot the stars with it – and then they shoot back. Strange, very strange! Q. Why the Name Klaus-Dieter? Are you Santa on a diet? And what is your Sig-Fig? A. No, I’m not Santa on a diet. I chose the name Klaus-Dieter firstly that everybody immediately sees where I come from (if it was or is a good idea I don’t know) and secondly there is a reason you can read in my introduction here on EB. It would take too much time to tell that to you – you would fall asleep. My sig-fig is the outlaw which is named Klaus-Dieter and which you can find in the great signature TheBrickster has designed. Q. How long have you collected lego? A. I don’t know exactly. I have been playing and building with Lego since … let’s say about my fifth birthday. And around the age of 12 I bought some – mainly little – sets which do now only exist in parts and incompletely. Really collecting Lego I started in summer 2001. The first set I bought was Ninja’s Stronghold. After that I mainly bought Star Wars sets and in the last years many old City and old Castle sets from eBay and some current City sets. Q. What are your 3 favourite sets? A. That’s a very difficult question since I like many Lego sets. But I think my three favourite sets I own are Gold City Junction, Town Plan and the Paradisa Villa. Paradisa, represent! Q. What is your Favourite Theme? A. That’s again a very difficult question since I like City, Castle (but only until the year 2000), Western and Star Wars. But the most important one for me – where I own the most sets, too (mainly old sets) – is City. Q. Best In Real Life Lego Moment? A. The best moment I had in the whole time with Lego until now was when I saw the picture of 10188 Town Plan and decided to save my money for it and buy it and then received and built it. A lovely, lovely set! Q. And, for that matter your best EB moment? A. The best moment on EB until now was when I received the little Chess King promotional set from Copmike from the Impulse Contest because somebody (regrettably don’t know his/her name now) gave off his/her prize so I did receive it. Q. How do you think TLC is fairing in 08'? A. My opinion is with two columns: In the City theme TLG is doing very well – the great CG sets, the post sets (I only miss a post office – but hopefully we’ll perhaps get one next year), the Truck With Forklift and the nice little Impulse sets are great. In the Star Wars theme I’m really disappointed of TLG since – how it seems to look like now – I as only OT collector am only getting two sets (Rebel Scout Speeder and DS) and furthermore the DS will be very expensive. That makes me a bit angry that TLG does look at the wishes of OT fans this year only very little. But there, too, I hope that we perhaps get more OT sets next year since it’ll be 10 years Lego SW. The best development TLG at the moment is doing is hearing what their fans want – and as a result we hopefully may get some Wild West sets in the future which would be absolutely amazing! Q. How do you think EB News is Fairing in 08'? A. I think EB News is doing very well in 2008 – we had pics of the summer City sets very early and the information of new sets is mostly firstly at EB – that’s great! That's not really us, we're just fluff and interviews... Q. What sets would you like to see TLC produce in the near future? A. Many, many new sets! But to do not annoy you with a list of the size of several pages I limit on my most important wishes: For the SW theme I’d like to see an Endor bunker, Endor BPs and Hoth BPs. For the Castle theme I’d like to see something similar to 10188 Town Plan but in Castle style (an inn, a farm, a blacksmith shop, medieval citizens, a carriage, …). For the Wild West theme I’d like to see a train with station, a saloon and a stagecoach with post office. For the City theme I’d like to see a post office, a bank, a security transport car, a train cargo loading station and some shops. Q. Have you ever been to a EB Event? A. No, regrettably I have never been to an EB Event. But firstly I’m firstly member since a good year and secondly I’m studying at university so I won’t have time and money to travel afar. But after my traineeship I of course want to go to an EB Event, too. Q. Can we see your lair? A. Yes, of course. Drive three miles further, then through the canyon and then you’ll see a cave of a bear on the left side – there I live, together with the bear which protects me against all these outlaws and bandits. But from time to time I must take care, too, mainly when the bear is hungry. Because then it isn’t chary and eats what it can get … Q. What Moc's are you currently working on? A. Momentary I’m not really working on a MOC – but I already design it in my head. In the next time I plan to design another Western MOC with LDD (a general store with a little room upstairs) and two “normal” MOCs (a medicine man’s tepee and a watch tower for the soldiers) – but it’ll take some weeks until I’ll show them to you. Q. Am I Annoying? A. No, but it would be very nice if Imperialshadows would put away his gun - that makes me somehow a bit antsy! Hmmm? Oh, right. Q. Who should we Interview Next? A. I don’t know all the people you have already interviewed. It’s very difficult to say because I don’t know all members and because I don’t want to propose somebody because then others might be offended. But what about Steff, whitefang or bLEGOnder? So, about those SW minifigs... Huh? Oh crap! Looks like we've got to run now, literally! Until next week, I'm going far, far away! *camera fades*
  8. Recent events have called for some new concepts that I'll be using for a while, as well as a new character. Cloyola and the Council of Five Flangdor was married to Cloyola, a powerful wizard who currently fills a seat on the Council of Five, the select group that serves as advisors for the Regulator of the League of Wizards. Aluvar was formerly on the Council. It is unclear who has taken his seat since his promotion, or if it is currently unfilled. She hated Flangdor enough to want him dead at one point, but it's been 60 years, so she might not be quite as angry. Still, she may be. She did break his ... wand, after all. Children of Destiny, The Once thought to be a legend, it now appears to have at least some basis in fact. According to the legend, on certain days of certain years, children are born who are gifted with special powers, powers they are usually unaware of until such time as they are needed. In many cases, this never happens. These powers stay with them throughout their lives. It is thought that they could, when acting in unison, defeat any evil, no matter how large. 10. K-18 Crown Castle Royal Courtyard ALUVAR!!!!!!!! WHAT? THE? HELL? Everyone looks up in time to see Marghan coming in for a landing with Alyss on his back. Ut oh. Hey, who's the hottie? Not now... Alyss jumps off Marghan as he lands, charging toward Aluvar. Hello dear! Don't you 'hello dear' me! Um... I have some news for you. I bet you do! Why didn't you tell me he was dying? HOW COULD YOU DO THIS? Oh, I cracked the case, found the guilty party, and your father has been healed. Who are you? I'm Shadows, at your service. Shadows reaches out to take her hand, which she promptly pulls away. Well, um, thank you very much, whoever you are, but someone had better tell me what is going on around here, and they'd better start now! I'll take care of this. M-m-m-mom! Let's go guys, they need some time alone. Shadows, Aluvar and Flangdor wander off toward Castle town. Well, now what do we do? We've pretty much taken care of that. Are you kidding? Didn't you listen? There's an evil force trying to take over the entire living world. Sure, but how is that our problem? Uh, we're living. I see what you mean. Maybe we could get some help? That is an excellent idea, an excellent idea indeed. Aw, thank you. I do have some sometimes. Uh huh. I'm going to call a meeting of the Council of Five. The WHAT? NO! What do you have against them? Nothing. Nothing at all. I just don't think we need them! Uh, right. There must be something. I know what it is. It's Cloyola, isn't it? Please, don't even speak her name around me! Who is Cl... er... who is she? She's my wife. You have a wife? I do. I love her dearly, but she hates me, she wants me dead. I haven't known you long, but I can sort of understand the sentiment. Oh, she's probably over that by now. It's been a long time. 60 years. Hmmm... no, she probably isn't over it yet. Well, it doesn't matter, I have to summon them. You can't, only the League of Wizards Regulator can, and I'm not even sure who that is now. It's me. Great. When did that happen? You didn't tell me. When I was at the meeting. I received a letter by special courier. Apparently, everyone knew where we were going. Add them to the list of suspects, I guess... I'm going to go make arrangements for the meeting. Fine, I want to hear the story about Cloyola anyway. Aluvar walks toward the castle. Oh no, not again. Come on. Why not? I'm already disgraced, I might as well be humiliated too. That's the spirit! It all started 60 years ago. Cloyola and I had fallen in love and married while we were studying magic. She was the loveliest creature I ever saw. The problem was me. My magic has never been very good. Oh, who am I kidding, it's terrible! I've noticed. Well, one day I met another girl. She didn't care that I wasn't much of a magician, even though she was a promising student as well. She suggested we go off together to study. It was wonderful, but before I knew it, she had reached in my cloak. Uh... Well, she grabbed hold of it and began stroking it until it was about to explode. I grabbed it back and ran off, but it was too late, Cloyola knew. I don't know how she knew, but she knew. So she was mad, but it sounds like an honest mistake. She didn't care. She grabbed it and broke it. I ran for my life, as she chased after cursing me to a future of inept magic and premature balding. Broke it? Ouch! Though the last part explains the big hat. Yes, well, I tried to fix it, but I couldn't. For 60 years, I've gone around with it broken, hoping one day to have it restored. Sure. Maybe you should see a doctor? A doctor can't help, it'll take someone more powerful. Maybe you? Uh... no. Oh, please, just take a look at it! Flangdor reaches for his cloak. Just stop there! I don't want to see it! Fine! I just thought you could help. It isn't like I was asking for a huge favour. It's a pretty big deal to me. I guess I could ask Aluvar to try again. Again? Oh yes, he tried before. He took it in his hands and said some magic words, then rubbed it until it was glowing, but it didn't stay. Um. I don't think I want to hear this. You know, you're a strange kid. You almost sound like you've never heard of someone having a wand broken before! A wand. OH! What did you think I meant? Nothing. Nothing at all. Go on, let me see it then. Flangdor pulls out his broken wand and hands it to Shadows. Shadows examines it closely, then chants a few words. The wand slowly comes back together, but after a few seconds, breaks apart again. She did a good job on this. She always was an overachiever. Well, maybe she's forgiven you and will fix it herself. I suspect that only she can. I don't know. I wish it was so, I wish I was with her again, but I doubt it's meant to be. And when she hears about this latest mess... We'll try to make it sound like you were helping. You'd do that for me? Yeah. I'm not entirely sure why, but yeah. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You truly are a king among men Lord Shadows! Just Shadows. So now what do we do? I don't know, I ran out of plot a few lines back, the rest of this is just padding until I can figure out how to end it. Huh?
  11. I believe you could extract what you need out of my old shield decals, located here. They're 600dpi, but the logos are solid colours, so they would be easy to remove and resize down to whatever you need. Good luck! We'd love to see the results of your effort in a thread here, please consider posting them.
  12. A confrontation with the skellies, a shocking discovery about Aluvar's mysterious past. I think it's the fact that it says EB RB
  13. O-19 Crania Skellie Capital Are you sure this is a good idea? What choice do we have, Flangdor? If we're going to stop this war, we have to stop your wizard. We don't know how powerful he is, or even who he is... We will shortly. I knew you were going to say that. Shadows steps out of the woods and begins walking toward the front gate of the castle. Aluvar and Flangdor follow closely. The skellie on watch sees them approaching and panics, blowing a rams horn then screaming out an alert to his troops. INVASION FORCE! Invasion force? Do we really look like an invasion force? No, we look like a couple of geezers in big hats and a rather dashing individual in a cape and sporty hat. Uh huh. Well, here they come! A half dozen skellie knights on their undead steed exit the gate, charging at the group. Shadows throws a force projection spell at the approaching horsemen, throwing them into the murky moat surrounding the castle. The panicked guard on watch sees this and issues another warning. SORCERERS! Well, he's a lot closer this time. Two out of three isn't bad. Hey, I resent that! Would you like to deal with them? Er... no thanks, I'm fine. The drawbridge begins to raise as a gate closes behind it. Well, that isn't very hospitable. You know, I put the hospital in hospitality, they should be careful. They'll be dead. They're already dead! Arrows begin flying through the air, hitting the ground all around the group. You know, this is getting tiresome. Aluvar casts a quick spell, turning the group invisible. The arrows stop. So much for the stealth approach. I guess we should just charge right in now? How? They've raised the drawbridge. Over the wall? Right, good plan! Good plan? It's a 40ft wall! And? And I don't know how I got mixed up with you two lunatics! You should have thought of that before. Are you ready? I don't think so, but go on. Aluvar and Shadows cast a spell together, teleporting the trio to the top of the fortified embattlements. Oh, that wasn't so bad. A nearby skellie overhears Flangdor. Confused, he begins looking around for the source of the voice. Shadows notices this and decides it would be best if that search didn't continue, so he reaches out and uses the wind to toss the skellie off the wall and into the moat below, with a splash. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah hooo hoooo hoooo hooooooooo! Goofy skellie. That was terrible. I don't get it. So now we find the wizard. Well Dorothy, we're not in Kansas anymore, that's for sure. I don't get that either. A puff of smoke appears in front of the group, out of it steps an ancient looking skellie with a long beard, wearing a cloak. That won't be necessary, for I have found you. It's been a long time, Aluvar. Do I know you? I'm wounded that you could ever forget me, after what you did. I don't know who you are or what it is that I'm supposed to have done. Stop speaking in riddles and tell me. Fine. Many years ago, I was your apprentice, but you betrayed me, you abandoned me when I needed you most. I... no. You can't be. You died, I couldn't do anything about that. Many died that day. How did you end up like this? I laid there, in the mud, surrounded by all the others who had been killed, and yet, I was aware. I knew what was happening around me, though I couldn't see it, or do anything about it. Time passed, agonizing time spent in a state of limbo, neither alive or dead, wondering when I would be discovered. Someone had to discover me, I wasn't really dead, I couldn't be, yet I couldn't move or hear or see, except for the visions in my mind. I don't understand... Neither did I. Years passed in my mind, but it was actually only a few days. I felt it enter me, an energy, a dark energy that I had never felt before. I wanted to resist, but I had no control. It consumed me quickly. Then I was alive again, or so it seemed. I sat up, looked around at all of the destruction, and then I stood, difficult as it was. I looked at my reflection in a puddle and could see that much of my skin had been burned off, leaving the bone exposed. I was shocked, yet calm. I understand how torturous all of this must have been, but why blame me, why start a war? You could have saved me from all of it, if only you'd had my body collected and buried, but no, you left me to rot, and it found me, and now I serve it. I couldn't. We were in full retreat. The orcs had overrun our positions, they were closing on one two sides, we had no where else to go and no time to deal with our losses. No matter. Once it entered me, I became at peace, a peace I had never felt before. It? What is it? It is as old as time, yet we have lived surrounded by it without ever being aware. We fight to resist it, trying to maintain our pathetic lives, but it always wins in the end, just as it shall now. It is what gave life to the dead, and dead to the living. You're being cryptic again. The time for talk is through. Go. We came to stop this. You can't. I can't. It isn't possible to stop. Nearly everything is in place. All that is left to do is to find the Children of Destiny. That's an old myth, nothing more. You know it isn't. I... have never been sure. But if you're looking for people, why do you need to start a war? Why use this fool to kill the Crown family? Hey! Shut up Flangdor, you are a fool, and a pawn. I needed the Queen dead, for she was one of the few who could stop this plan. Oh really? What could she do? Don't take me for a fool. I know that she lives again. The door between life and death swings both ways, and my master is aware of all who pass through it. I was informed of her return to the living as soon as it happened, but it's too late for her to stop this, so it is no longer important. So why kill the king? That was the work of a small band of renegade soldiers, led by an old general who used to serve me. He knew of my efforts, and of Flangdor, and he took it upon himself to try to take over Crown kingdom. It didn't interfere with my plans, so I didn't stop him. I wish I had now, since it alerted you. Do you really want to destroy humanity because of what happened to you? Destroy it? I'm saving it! Humanity is a horrible curse. You won't know true freedom until you're undead. It's why I refuse to fight you. I was angry for a long time, but I have learned that you did me a huge favour, allowing this to happen. I am finally free, as I never was before. I think we should go, but I'll ask once more, are you sure about this? It may not be too late to stop it. I am sure. I will not oppose my master. Fine. I'm still sorry. Goodbye. Aluvar casts a teleportation spell. The group disappears in a puff of smoke. K-18 Crown Castle Royal Gardens I can't believe he let us go... I can't believe any of this... Who was he, Aluvar? My oldest son...
  14. I assume that's why maiq requested it. Wasn't my favourite method of building it anyway. How about this? Yes, the printed tile would spin on the pin, but once in place, it isn't like you'd be moving it around all the time. The only part I debated was the bottom brick. Two plates would make it shorter, I just don't know which height is correct.
  15. As requested here: I had some question as to the exact colour of a Mac, as it's been a long time since I've seen one in person, but my best estimation says that LEGO tan is as close as it gets. The main colour is easily adjusted with a simple flood fill, but the inside tube frame area wouldn't be quite so easy, if you were to try adjusting it somehow. The end result is for printing on a 2x2 tile, much like the monitor tiles LEGO produces. That seemed to best represent the proportional size in relation to a 1x4 tile keyboard. I would attach the tile to a 1x2 hinge brick, placed on top of a 2x2 brick, with a 1x2 behind it. A 2x2 plain tile on top could finish out the look. I'm sure there are a few ways it could be assembled. I'd love to see your end result. Ok, for some reason I assumed it was monochrome like the early Apples I played around with as a little kid. I realise now it wasn't, but they still look good to me. Click the thumbnails for the full size decals. These are meant to be printed to a size of 1.551cm x 1.551cm (which is roughly 835dpi at this resolution). Lit and Unlit Let me know what you think.
  16. Ok, I took a shot at the Mac Classic, which can be seen here. Not sure about the others, yet.
  17. K-18 Crown Castle Throne Room It's all so hard to believe. I know, your majesty, but that is how it went. We captured this pathetic excuse for a wizard in a secret room in the back of Crown Church. It seems he's been behind a lot of the troubles around here. I'm not! Er, I haven't been! I... oh... Well, go on, speak up, what do you have to say for yourself? I've been used. I always wanted to be a great wizard. I studied, and apprenticed, and yet, it never happened. That doesn't explain what you're been up to. It's just that when he approached me, promising so much power, I couldn't resist. He? Whom? What power? Speak clearly while you still can! Years ago, I was captured in skellie territory, while trying to find an herbalist. I got lost and ended up at a fortress instead. They took me to their capital where I was supposed to be sentenced for spying, even though I wasn't. Interesting... go on. Well, I was in their dungeon when a skellie wizard approached me, a really scary looking one with a long beard. Seems unnatural for them to have beards... Well, the point is, he made me an offer, one that would eventually lead to great power, he said. I didn't really have much choice anyway, and I wasn't about to turn down the chance. What did he want you to do? He said he would free me, and pay me a lot of money, and eventually give me an ancient weapon of incredible strength, if I would help him exact revenge against the one he blamed for all of the evil that had befallen him. You. Flangdor looked directly at Aluvar. Me? But your plot has been against the kingdom, not against me. And what could this skellie have against me? As much as I may have wanted to, I never did a thing to them, unless attacked, and that's only been recently. I don't know what it is he has against you, but it's important enough that he freed me secretly. Apparently even their king was unaware of the situation. That does fit in with the information we were given. But you were behind that information, so how can we trust it? It's all very complicated, more complicated than even I can understand. I know they were using me, so I can't believe half of what I know, but maybe we can sort it all out somehow. Maybe. If you're perfectly honest with us. Otherwise, I'm setting you on fire personally. I'm being honest! This isn't easy for me, admitting I was used, but I was! When we captured your bird and guard, I had to convince them that I was Rangdar, so they would believe my story, which, I must say, I did brilliantly, as they seemed to believe me. They even let me send along Boney as a spy. Rangdar! I'd forgotten about him! Where is he? I don't know. They said that in order to make the plan work, they needed to keep anyone from discovering that I wasn't him. Our son??? If anything has happened to him, ANYTHING AT ALL... They assured me it wouldn't... I don't know, though. We'll find him, he's of more value to them alive, they won't hurt him unless they get desperate. Continue with the plot, but go back to the beginning. When this wizard freed you, what were you to do? He gave me several pouches and told me to come here, meet the Countess Ravenia, and give her the pouches, she would know what to do next. Yes, that fits her story, though she made it seem like her idea. Then again, maybe it was. How could she have arranged something like that? Oh, magic runs deep in the female members of the family, there is no doubt that she has some powers of her own. It's why I had her put in that special cell, it should hold her despite her trickery. She's an evil scary woman. I knew that when I met her. I wanted out of the plan then and there, but I didn't have a choice, I knew they would find and kill me. So what were you to do next? They told me that she would take care of the important parts of the plan, and that I could retire to the countryside on what they had paid me, but that I must always be available to them, if I was needed again. Years passed. I tried to keep a quiet life, hoping they would never bother me again. But they did. Yes. A few months ago. They wanted me to make another delivery. They suggested the Rangdar disguise and told me that I would be needed for an extended period, maintaining that disguise. I objected, but they would have killed me... So you came back here, delivered the poison, and ... Poison? I always wondered. Well, I did as Ravenia told me. She said that I was to assume the role of Rangdar until the plan was over. I was supposed to live in the Castle, then go to the Church whenever I could, waiting for any updates on the plan. I was assigned three skellies, a couple of guards and an old general. They were to protect me, but they were obviously making sure I kept my end of the bargain as well. The two I destroyed earlier... the guards? Yes. The general was away, I don't know where. By now, he may have discovered that I've been captured. I don't know what that will mean. But why did you tell us that the skellies weren't involved? Because that's what I was told to say. It's true, too. From what I have gathered, it is that old wizard, the general, and a whatever forces they could find that were loyal to them, but not the whole skellie kingdom. Looks like we need to take a trip. A trip? Uh huh. I've got a bad feeling about this ... Aluvar writes out a message, which he places in the vial around Bluervo's neck. Take this to Alyss, she needs to know that Boney is a spy. On my way! I hope I can find them, I don't really know where to start. They're somewhere near Majisto Tower, though I think they've split up for some reason. Just hurry. I'm out of here! Bluervo flies out the window, disappearing into the distance. Now, how did you know where we were going? As Rangdar, it was easy to learn most of the more delicate kingdom secrets. How did you know that I knew? We were attacked by Black Wraith Demons while there. Obviously you told them where to find us. B-b-b-b-b... Don't do that. Sorry, it's just that b-b-b-b-b... You're doing it again. I... I don't think they have any demons. They must, we were ambushed. I'm serious, Boney was spying, but he never had a chance to get a message back to us. Sure, I knew where you had gone, but I never told anyone, no one asked. They didn't seem interested in where you were, which struck me as odd, considering the old skellie wizard, but I didn't want to get any more involved than I had to, so I wasn't about to volunteer information. So what did you need a spy for? They wanted to know if the Princess was the one. The one what? I don't know, I never knew what that meant. Do you know, Aluvar? I do. She might have been. She might still be, but I'm not sure. That doesn't make any sense. What do you mean? When the Queen died, her power should have been channeled to Alyss, but she didn't exactly die, she was just suspended in life. So whatever power Alyss has, is her own. Now I realise it. I don't know why I didn't before. Her mother still maintains her power, thus she is the one, and always has been. The one what? The Queen enters the room, still weak from her ordeals. I knew this topic would arise eventually. I suppose it's time I told you the whole story, Tiberius. Past time, even. If you will excuse us... Yes, of course, we should be going now, we have a lot to do. We're going to need this half-wit wizard to make this work, much as I hate to admit it, so he's going to need to come with us. Whatever you need. Find our son. How did you know? I'll explain it all shortly... We will, I promise it. Aluvar, Shadows and Flangdor leave as the Queen sits down, preparing to explain everything to the King. Where are we going? Trust me, you don't want to know.
  18. Welcome to EB! You really only need one "hi, I'm new" thread, so I merged the two together. I appreciate your enthusiasm, just take a deep breath before posting, think about what you're going to say and how to say it clearly, and remember that the best posts are more than a single sentence, they add something new to the conversation. That said, have fun and thanks for joining us.
  19. Let me start by mentioning that I don't drink. That odd revelation comes for a reason. When kill will requested this decal... well, here's the request itself: I took the mention of dark brown to indicate that it was the jacket itself that he wanted yellow, as opposed to the more traditional conversion from fleshie to yellow that I'm fairly sure he intended. It didn't really matter, as I immediately decided to just do the torso in it's original form, then in yellow skin, then some variations including a yellow jacket. Ok, stop laughing at me now, it isn't funny. Seriously, I mean it. Fine. Here's the results, including flesh, yellow, and dark flesh versions of the original, plus a couple of sand green jackets that look remarkably military in origin, maybe even MASH-like. I'm very happy with them. Maybe they'd be nice for the more relaxed Russian soldier, since it would mix in well with the rest. Oh, and a yellow jacket version. SHUT UP ALREADY! :skull: So there you have it. Comments, suggestions, snarky jokes about yellow jackets, all welcomed! More or less. The more I look at it, the more I ... nah, not really.
  20. Welcome to EB and thank you for sharing this! It's absolutely beautiful! All of the tiny details are overshadowed by the size and magnitude of the build, so it's important to go pic by pic and look at every little thing. The seated Queen, the horse drawn chariot type thing (I'm sure it has a different name), the row of small sphinxes, the anubis statues/guards, all those tan baseplates . I'm not sure about the pizza drums, but they're still cute. It reminds me a little of the game Serious Sam, which is a good thing.
  21. Did Dovchenko quickly, completely from your sample pic as I haven't opening that set yet. Did it in 3 shades of tan, all from different official sources. They all look pretty good as uniforms, and one seems to match what you asked for. They can be found here. Edited to add: I just finished Indy as well. Take a look here, then stop laughing, it isn't funny.
  22. I didn't have time for Indy, but I literally slapped this one together quickly. The Peeron official dark tan didn't look right at all (too grey), the dark tan I used to use looked decent, but a third one I made up completely looked exactly right. As a result, I'm presenting all three (in opposite order of that). It's actually kind of nice, because all three are official looking enough to pass for real uniforms, so this could be a very useful torso, especially if you added your own insignia as appropriate. I also hated the button/belt colour as well, since I can't really simulate metallic colours (and most of you can't print them), but it should do. As always, my colours are easily changed without complicated editing, so if you need to adjust them, you can.
  23. Shadows

    Towel Day

And a Happy Towel Day to you too, one and all! It would be the height of ill manners for someone with a title like mine to miss out on an occasion of this magnitude and importance, and while I am certainly tall enough to reach such a height, I'll stoop to avoid it today. Quoth the Guide:
  24. Alyss and Diana took care of business quickly. Alyss made some new friends, then left on a dragon. If there are more battles there, Diana is on her own, though Flynt and Grandoth would pitch in until they leave. For the next few chapters, I'm going to be advancing the Crown Castle situation and reuniting a daughter with her not-so-dead mother.
  25. L-13 Black Knight territory Outside Imperial Tavern So... shall we go back in and have ribs? WHAT? Do you think with your stomach? Well, they seem to have things under control. Down the street, Alyss was casting her final wave of destruction at the last Black Wraith Demon. It emitted a blood curdling howl and vaporized, leaving a wake of debris and destruction in it's wake. A nearby citizen approached Alyss. Thank you for helping us, I thought we were all doomed. I am Felshor, the miller. Well, I was a miller. I'm not sure I can fix that. Alyss and Felshor look over at the remains of his mill. Er... well. I did have to stop the demons. I didn't mean to make such a mess. Oh no, m'lady, it's quite fine, I'd be dead otherwise. My family will make it, we always do. Family? Felshor points over at his wife and 11 kids. Oh god. Here. Alyss pulls out a small pouch and hands it to Felshor. Felshor looks inside, in awe. Oh no, you can't, this is far too generous. It's fine, really. Maybe you'd like to join us for ribs? Ribs? All the kids run over yelling "YAAAAAAAAAAY!" It's settled then. Though I should check on how the rest of the battle is going. We'll go to the tavern now! Thank you so much for everything! As the family walks toward the tavern, the wife hits her husband in the back of the head. Alyss can barely overhear her say, "stop hitting on pretty girls!" to which he replies, "oh no, I wasn't, but she was so nice, she gave us this" at which point he shows her the pouch. "Oh my! What a darling girl!" the wife replies. Alyss looks around, surveying the scene. Why here? Why now... Just then, a large dragon swoops down from the sky, landing next to Alyss. The citizens standing nearby are unimpressed. AAAAAAHHHHH, DRAGON! RUN!!! You'd think they'd be used to us, by now. Oh, hello Marghan. What brings you here? I was looking for you. I heard something important and had to tell you immediately. What it is? It's about a wizard, and a plot to kill your father! My father? ALUVAR! Aluvar is going to kill your father? No, but that's why he left without a word. DAMN HIM! I'm sure he knew what was best. Uh huh, he always does. How rested are you? I'm quite fit for a journey, if you'd like to make one. I would. Let me go tell Grandoth and Flynt. I'll come along. Well, sure. Alyss and Marghan walk down the street, much to the general confusion and distress of the local citizens. Diana, having finished her battle, looks over in surprise. Hello Marghan! Hello Miss Diana. I didn't expect to see you. Diana and Marghan chat while Alyss goes over to talk to Grandoth and Flynt. So, I'm leaving. This is Felshor, his lovely wife and family. I've promised them ribs. See to that. All those kids... Shush. Keep an eye on things Flynt, then both of you head back to Crown Castle. I'll already be there when you arrive. Yes ma'am. I'll see to it personally. Grandoth, Flynt and the Felshor family head inside for ribs as Alyss returns to Marghan. It was nice seeing you again Diana, but we need to be going, there is an emergency at home. I understand. Safe trip! To you as well. Oh, and tell your girlfriend to get a haircut. I will. Alyss climbs on Marghan's back. The two fly away, heading south. The locals look relieved. Diana looks concerned. She walks back over to Siloux and Cecil. Alyss sends her regards, Cecil.
