They were like the away team of LEGO, therefore, they're all dead or in sickbay.

Note: Traditionally, all minifig customization projects should appear in the Minifig Customization Workshop, but an exception is being made in this case. Eventually, an index of all of these will appear there. 1978 in Minifig History For many, 1978 is considered the first year of what is now being called Classic Town, as it was the year we first saw the fully articulated minifig. It was an exciting development for LEGO, one that would continue to this day. The 1978 minifig assortment included a nice range of townsfolk including police and fire personnel, a Red Cross worker, a Shell gas employee, and a number of normal citizens going about their daily business. For the current fan of Classic Town history who is up for a little customization, recreating these figures is a fairly easy task. As a matter of fact, a number of these were originally stickers, as opposed to the later printed torsos more commonly found in the line. The fireman, for example, was used in the line for many years, and always as a sticker. Here is the full 1978 range of custom torso decals for your enjoyment. Optimized for printing at 600dpi (1.551cm x 1.227cm). (thumbnails link to full size decals) We at the Classic-Town.net Museum of Art History hope you have enjoyed today's offering. We look forward to bringing you more years of minifig torsos and decals in the near future. As an added bonus, we are currently creating variations on these decals, new colours to give you even more options in townsfolk. We will also be producing a series of Set Restoration projects designed to allow you to recreate sets from the past, using modern decals. Those will be presented as individual projects, literally taking you through the fun and challenging set restoration process from beginning to end.

Classic-Town.net? That sounds exciting! <--- Classic

<OOC> I know you're new, so I'm going to be nice here. <--- see? that's my nice face. Well, something like that. So... #1. Did you read the first post? You know, the one you quoted in it's entirety? The one that says, "IMPORTANT: If you are not a participant in the game, then please do not post in the game. These threads are reserved for players only." Now you might be a playa player, but you aren't one in this game, so posting in a "don't post here" thread to ask to be involved isn't likely to go well... You might meet Stauder or something. Trust me, that's something to avoid like the plague that he is. #2. "can I pgs (permenent guest star)" isn't really a great way to ask to join, even if there was such a way, which there isn't. Please try to remember that this is a discussion forum, not a chat board. We appreciate capitalization and punctuation, with a side of grammar when possible. Beyond that... welcome to EB! Sorry that my first reply to you had to be sort of a bummer, but it's better to get things straight quickly, you know. </OOC> This has been one dud of a day, and then we're going to have an even bigger dud of a night, followed by patches of cloudiness and occasional thunderstorms. Or something like that. I'm your weather man, Muggy Mathers, and this has been your work-week forecast. That wasn't very 'in character' either. I think the castle is getting to me again. Someone open a window...

Wouldn't it be something if those were the traitors? Can there be that many left? Oh, there could if mercenaries don't count, and would also explain waiting until the very end to investigate the other two... Nah, that's just paranoid. Isn't it?
-
I don't really speak blockhead, but I think he means to align character and user names. Plus, we've established that the traitors had an investigator, but he was only loyal to himself, so it's kind of a pointless discussion. I just wish people would realise that we have another one that could do the same thing. Except Calvin was a traitor investigator and he sold them out, so, as I said above, this one could do the same to the loyalists. Or already has... I'd like to see Kyle investigated, but isn't that convenient, there is no way to do it. As for me, it can't work for the same reason Calvin couldn't investigate me properly, so any result is either going to be inconclusive or a lie, and we'll have wasted another day. I just found a note... Whoever that is.

Aw... and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. That's snot fair. It's be mean to Shadows thread. Geez... I'm innocent, I tell you, innocent! Don't let my normal persona fool you.

Yeah, it makes sense, it's just one of those things where you want the impossible. It's one of my few unrealistic LEGO dreams. I'd settle for trans head and hands with everything else in sand blue. I know they can do that, since they have before. I'm really easy like that. And I love parts in new colours almost as much as I love minifigs. The combination of the two are almost my whole LEGO existence right now. Coming up next, "Sad, but True" by the Fabuland Metallica.
-
Uh... those are Fabuland drum sticks.
-
Yes, yes I do. I just can't do it here.

He's one of two sellers who commonly have similar parts, both in the same area of Germany. They clearly have the same source, and are usually close in prices. You can't tell a normal set part from one of these. Everything is the same, as it should be. There is one alternate explanation I've heard that relates to emptying the machines. Once the pellets have been melted and mixed or whatever, it's a done deal, you pretty much have to use that batch, so if they make the necessary amount of something, then plan to switch to something that is a different colour, you could get a small quantity of the next part in the old colour. I have a fair number of swirled bricks that seem to be the same concept. Old colour on top of new colour in the vat resulting in mixed bricks. LEGO has, from what I've heard, always been thrifty and would just dump it all in a bin to send to a nearby PaB. These two sellers are very lucky to be nearby. They used to give such things to their employees, and even now might do that, which could also have the same result. My only word of advice is to check on each part seperately before placing a large order. Occasionally, a part that they have listed as rare, isn't. Not intentionally, but because the part wasn't available in a colour, then became available in a regular set. It's sort of like the market was pulled out from under them on those. Obviously, odd things like clear spears are probably never going to be issued normally, but I do think they prove a point that relates back to this forum (we've gotten way off topic, really)... I think they could make an all-clear minifig now. Say, a trans-blue spirit of Yoda... You might want to read more in this thread from last year.

Madness. Pure metal madness. Love the drums, easily my favourite part. The character selection is perfectly suited to the band. The stage is exactly what you'd expect, which means it's just right. Can't really ask for anything more here, though I'm fairly sure they'll sue you for some kind of royalties. I've heard they're like that. Metallica alone wasn't quite enough Fabuland Edge, you needed to add electrocution. Nice job! Grope-ee. A nice touch. Get it? ... nevermind. She looks so sweet and innocent... for now. A definite winner and a fine example of double-Edge'd Fabuland. Oh, and I'll index this AS SOON AS I CAN.

Sometimes I was sitting back and Mary was ... nevermind. As I recall, she was suspected early on because of the "women and their bloody herbs" comment from Majiko, but I didn't think we knew enough to kill her. I vaguely suspected Lady PoisonPants at the time because in an alternate universe called EBRP, I had written a storyline where a Lady planned to kill the King with poisonous plants from her garden. I could find the post, which was before this game had even been announced. Then I thought, "wait, would Draggy steal directly from my EBRP for this?" and tossed out the idea. Guess what?!?! Actually, that's not exactly accurate. I had the power of the throne until the traitors killed the King. As it was explained to me, I was the lone voice he listened to in matters of state. He trusted me enough to let me run things, so I effectively had all the power I ever could, since I'm not family and can't take over the throne. When they killed him, I was out of a job and vowed to avenge our lost King and my former power. I can understand that appearing suspicious, but it's actually quite simple. (OOC: Should I mention that I index on a different Brickshelf account and I'm trying to find the password for it since the crash/computer switchover, which is why I haven't indexed you yet? Dick.)

The point is that I did a night action, protecting, but I wasn't doing anything bad that required you to try to stop me. It looks like you don't automatically stop all night actions, you stop harmful ones, which is what I think you're starting to realise as well. If that's the case, Quarryman/Michael had to be up to something that you actually needed to stop, which you did. Taken a step further, if that's the case, Kyle is lying.
-
It's creative thinking, but it won't work, as a matter of fact, it might interfere. The first night, before we had any clue what we were doing, I chose Calvin randomly, and he chose to investigate me. It's the only possible reason he didn't manage to finish my investigation properly. Somehow, my night action interfered with his, maybe because I was watching him, thus keeping him from doing what he needed to do freely. As a result, if Kyle comes back with any result but inconclusive, just as Calvin did, he's lying. How would that help? Sure, it would confirm to me that he's either a mercenary or traitor, but how would I prove that to you, aside from my experience with Calvin? Just in the interest of openness, here is a general summary of the rest of my night actions. Initially, I chose who to protect based on their activity the previous day. If they seemed to anger anyone enough that they could become a target, I protected them. I protected the Friar one night, but not the night of his possibly-attempted murder. After the failed attempt and his unwillingness to vote for the person who actually did it, I didn't see any point in protecting him again. I protected Lord Savril once and literally never heard a word about it except that nothing happened. And he snores. I was locked in with Byron one night, which nearly drove me to murder, but provided no information except that he never shuts up. I actually began to wonder if he was the other investigator at one point. In the end, how can we be sure that what someone claims as their role really is? Calvin was stupid to admit his early, the second investigator wouldn't be so dumb, but Byron has certainly played Columbo throughout this whole thing. On the other hand, if I was a traitor and understood the game well enough (past playing experiences and such), I would consider claiming to be an investigator and then name all the traitors as loyalists. Quite a good cover... I spent a series of nights with Mary, since it was at least entertaining. That included the night that Grim died outside her room. I'm fairly sure she has no night actions, but have no idea about her loyalties. She doesn't snore though. For my last night action, I tried using my protecting skills to see if I could investigate/follow someone, Lady Suzanne, the night before the day we voted to execute her. I figured I might be able to actually learn something, but didn't. It was a completely uneventful night. Which leads me to something else. Kyle claims he witnessed me and her in an intimate situation, yet the reality is, nothing happened that night at all (some may recall my mention of just how boring she was). Draggy made that very clear, which means he wouldn't have told him anything else. Sometimes I wonder why people want to make up details that didn't occur, unless it's to try to make their story sound believable when it isn't. Since then, I haven't done any night actions, as they weren't producing results. That said... I want this dealt with, but no one is up to it. So fine, you people can pick the daily loyalist to kill and I won't change my vote. Mercenaries are bad, whoever they work for: they misdirect us, split our votes and we kill the wrong people, like Fred. Whatever the case, tomorrow we can argue over whether to trust his 'results'.

Good stuff, and snot what I expected (I believe we're all required by law to use that pun in this thread). I especially like the cold weather angle, as it's something we simply never see in castle, the stark contract of grey rock and white ice/snow. The dusting of powder is an especially nice touch, and I bet it keeps the dwarves smelling fresh all day. Great job on the pics, they really capture the feel, especially the cave.
-
Yeah yeah, what a surprise. Calvin did the same thing when accused. It's the nature of your type. I sincerely believe that all you have to do is survive to win, no matter which side it's on. Hit too close to home, didn't I? My theory has been shown time and again. Blame it on Draggy for not being very creative, but look at the facts. We start with 4 lords (3 lords and a lady). Lord Ash and Lady Suzanne, a pair on their own, are also traitors. You claim that Lord Gary is loyal, and Calvin claimed that Lord Savril is loyal. Half the royal family is bad. General Spencer: Loyalist night killer. (who killed a damn loyalist, but let's not suffer through that again) General Marcus: Traitorous night killer. Calvin: Investigator / Mercenary. Officially working for a traitor (Lord Ash), but not loyal to them. He ratted out Marcus. And now you. It is an established fact that Calvin was just such an investigator, so your logic is flawed. As for you proving yourself, you only seem to magically come up with condemning evidence when it's convenient, at the last minute after we already suspect someone. The basic ploy of a mercenary out to save himself. Too little, too late. Nice job, Calvin, er, Kyle. Wow, your names even sound like you could be brothers in a family of non-creative namers. Draggy is going to have to do a better job next time, his slips are showing.

Fabuland Builders Guild - Discussion Thread
Shadows replied to Shadows's topic in Special LEGO Themes
They've been using them regularly in buckets for a while, so it isn't too surprising. I have some trans blue ones that I've never found a good use for. Still, this could be a sign of the return of Fabuland, just like the replacement parts find. Let's get Sinner to start the appropriate thread! Yeah, what he insulted! -
It's all part of my "everything comes in two's" theory. It's worked before. The generals were both night killers with one a traitor, half the lords were bad, etc. I think it's time we find out if I'm right. We missed the opportunity yesterday and poor Fred died because of it. Vote: Kyle/Trexxen I didn't get anything good except an explanation of my position and how the king trusted me to run things in his declining years. It wasn't overly helpful. Actually, I interrupted him and he jumped out the window. He said that he had searched my diary and found me to be ambitious, but nothing specifically traitorous. I figured that made sense in my position and the fact that I had been serving as the king, effectively, since he was old and sick. Unless I'm crazy though, he came back and flat out said that Marcus was a traitor. I know he voted against him. I just thought it smacked of desperation. In all honestly, I don't think he investigated him at all, I think he knew Marcus was a traitor and was trying to sell him out to save his own skin. I think he only really investigated loyalists, but that's just a hunch. I just can't buy that, it doesn't fit. Except Lord Savril specifically blocks night actions. I sincerely doubt that patrolling is his official night action, thus, he must have another one that you didn't discover, or aren't telling us. Any reason for the missing nights? You may be on to something there, though we have other options to consider, mostly involving who we can trust when it comes to clearing people. That said, I will be interested in the proof you collect. All good points. You always have had good points.

Misbehaves? Me? Never! I voted for that cannon, though I sort of wanted it to face the other way (even more, now). I also voted for the shark and Kahuka, and in a fit of sheer vanity, my laughing one, but I must admit that in future polls I would just put all of them in one group (it'll take 40, as I recall) so people didn't feel forced to pick one from each section, as a few have mentioned.

Wasn't that "At least one of the lords is a traitor?" (OOC: You made that note up, didn't you? Obviously, one of the lords had to be, there were 3 or 4 of you, depending on how you count Lady PoisonPants). I'd appreciate an answer to my question for him as well. There are no proven loyalists, only the claims of a mercenary who can lie just like any of us, and might do so to save his own skin. Calvin turned over one of his own when we caught on to him. Matter of fact, I'd like to review that for a moment. Calvin was working for a traitor, so he was told who to investigate by that traitor, yet he chose you and me first. Why? Simple: Lord Ash had no reason to have him investigate the traitors, he knew who they were and wouldn't want them revealed, but he had to hope to find out some little bit of weirdness that would make us look bad. It didn't work because I interrupted him, and he finished you without anything negative. I think he did that because we were vaguely suspicious of his loyalties after his encounter with me (I thought he was trying to kill me... that suspicion didn't die until both night killers were gone). He could declare either of us a traitor, or he would have died the day after we were killed and the truth revealed. So, when we get more suspicious after he reveals that he works for Lord Ash, he suddenly reveals that General Marcus is a traitor. It turned out to be true, but why would General Marcus be investigated at all, and why would his boss want that revealed to us? He didn't. Calvin was trying to save himself. My point, if there is one, is that he needed to stay alive, just like we all do, even if that meant selling out his own. That's why there are no proven loyalists. Any declarations of loyalty could be made for other purposes than the truth. I think that past actions are all we can count on. Radar? Haven't seen much of the Friar since the revelation about his cult involvement. I do know that his 'spiritual visions' have been wrong and even contradictory the vast majority of the time, which hasn't helped us deal with the traitors. Plus, despite a clear declaration that General Marcus was the one who tried to kill him, he didn't vote for that death. I sure voted for Calvin when I thought he'd tried to kill me, even though he hadn't (I guess). Circumstantial, but about all I've got.

Happy Birthday, Jordan! Hope you get tons of new stuff for us to see you make masterpieces from. WhiteFang: Birthday resolution? I don't know about those, but my New Years resolution was 1280x1024, same as last year.

Understood. Another Draggy murder. Clearly, he's looking to kill all of us off and just take over himself. Still, I didn't think Fred was any more suspicious than Kyle, since he has to be a mercenary like Calvin, who betrayed the traitors by naming General Marcus as one. That means he had some other motive that wasn't loyal to him employer, Lord Ash. By the same logic, that means that one working for a loyalist can't be trusted either. Seemed like enough to me, we were one vote from done, but everyone reversed and that's how it went. I guess we didn't do any worse than if we hadn't voted at all and a loyalist had died, which is pretty much what Draggy would have done to us... again. I wonder what his night actions are that could put him in a position to be bonked in the first place. I protected people nightly until the night killers were dead, and I never got bonked. We know who the investigators/mercenaries are/were. We know you can block actions. How many possible night actions can that leave, and what purpose can they serve? All the more reason I don't trust Kyle, because it sure looks like Michael almost had to be up to no good, yet he's been cleared? I would think that means that one of the two of you has to be a traitor, and we only have Kyle's word against that. Uh... no. You did not serve up Lord Ash, I did. I had to offer my own life to get people to realise just how much I believed this. He was our first victory. You did play an integral part in General Marcus, however, who had me stumped after Calvin declared him a traitor. It just didn't make sense, especially with the traitors all turning on each other, and it doesn't now unless investigators are literally double agents and can't be counted on by their side. Coincidentally, that's who you're counting on as having proven you loyal... an employee of the traitors. This whole thing is nagging at me. We're being duped. Someone who has been declared innocent, isn't, but for some reason I don't think it's you. We're being dragged along, just like we have been through this whole situation. We definitely need to review what we know before we make another mistake.

Mine have come from a variety of sources. This is the first one I've given myself, because it's just so true. Heck, it's like a self fulfilling title. Oh, and I'm watching a couple of you untitled types right now, so consider yourselves warned.
