LEGO Ninjago 2021
MasterofElements replied to Driver Brandon Grumman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Got ninja'd. My bad! -
Hi all! Over the last week or two I've been working on a project that continues the spirit of Adventurers and Orient Express in a modern form. I present.. The Lost Temple! It's supposed to be a temple that's been lost to time and has been overtaken by trees and plant-life. A giant tree has grown in the middle of the main temple and split the building, which was fun to design. The river on the left is built using depth techniques found in the Ninjago City range. The waterfall, bridge, and elephant were some of my favorite to design. Using the Unikitty tail pieces for the roofing was also a fun idea! This is a shot of the back of the set. It features a bottom level with a kind of tomb for a past chief, another level with a dining room, ancient art in the back, and armor, and then a final top level with a throne and decorations. The set is also on Lego Ideas - feel free to support if you'd like. https://ideas.lego.com/s/p:8146d09a8183474b830aff9a26b54804 Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

LEGO Ninjago 2021
MasterofElements replied to Driver Brandon Grumman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'd love to see some kind of configuration with the City, Docks, Gardens, and the Spring Lantern Festival. Might need to mods to the Lantern Fest but it should be easy enough to do. I have not seen any images or videos online but my thoughts are that the Lantern festival may look nice alongside the Temple Island in between the Docks and the Gardens. It may make the Temple island look a but more complete and less of a "shove in." My other idea is that perhaps the lineup is City, Docks, Gardens, and then put the temple island to the right side of the gardens and then connect the Lantern Festival to the left of that (putting it behind the docks, location-wise) -

Excuse the poor edit, but I put together the picture of the back of the Gardens with the small Statue island area to see what the overall footprint of the set looked like. The link here gives us an idea. https://imgur.com/WKjnhBU -

It also confirms that the Wu in the Gardens is 100% unique. The symbol that looked like Kai's is actually a type of shuriken. -

It could definitely be just poor lighting. However, it feels like Wu definitely has some additional printing on the belt, along with the symbol on the bottom right being thinner on Wu's. https://imgur.com/a/8Dd7RjX -

I've heard various people say that the Golden Wu in the Gardens has a repeat of Kai's golden torso, but if you look closer you see that Wu's has white on its belt while Kai is red. There is also some white in the upper chest area. Not sure if this has been pointed out already. -
Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
MasterofElements replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Now that we know all about Diagon Alley, does anyone have any prediction of what the next D2C in (possibly) 2022 could be? My first thought is a D2C Hogwarts Express or perhaps a Ministry of Magic or Hogsmeade? I can't really think of anything else so prominent in the series. -
LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
MasterofElements replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Am I the only one who feels like the Razorcrest, while looks good from afar, kind of falls apart when you watch a review on it? I don't know, but it almost seems like they rushed the set out because of the show's popularity. Some parts like the front grills don't feel nearly detailed enough and other parts just don't feel complete, like the sides being full of studs, technic beams being exposed, and the inside being totally barebones. I do still like the overall shape and am glad we are getting the set so soon, but compared to something like the Falcon from 2019 it feels very... skeletal. -
From what I had seen yesterday, there is a lower deck to the ship. You can see it in this aerial pic provided by NinjaWhip yesterday I believe. It doesn't seem to have much detail in it but as mentioned prior, it wouldn't be hard to add details.

Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
MasterofElements replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks all! I didn't want to change too much of the set - wanted to see what the designers could've done without the jet and the cannon thing. Just an update: here's without the wing pieces. I don't want to fill this page with huge images so this will be my last post on the subject. -

I played around with the new Helicarrier and decided to reverse-engineer it. I also modified it to look better and added a bridge. -
Sorry if this is a silly question, but what is this Monkie Kid theme? I assumed it was the Chinese New Year sets, but now I am unsure. UPDATE: I now see this is that Leaf theme. Lol!

[MOC] Mini Galaxy's Edge - in LEGO!
MasterofElements replied to MasterofElements's topic in LEGO Star Wars
For the moment, I am done with this MOC! It took about 4 days to build and has approximately 2,859 pieces. On the left, we have an A-wing, X-wing, and the Rise of the Resistance ride. On the right side we have the Batuuan Marketplace, with areas and restaurants like Savii's Lightsaber Workshop, Ronto Roasters, Droid Depot, and, of course, Millennium Flacon Smuggler's Run. I'm quite proud of this creation, but feel free to add additional criticism on how I can improve the model or my building! As they say in Batuu, Bright suns! :) Galaxy's Edge Complete by Masterbuilder04, on Flickr -
[MOC] Mini Galaxy's Edge - in LEGO!
MasterofElements replied to MasterofElements's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you all for the kind words! This MOC has been very exciting to build and recreate prior to my own trip to the land. Here's the next update. The ground was changed to light tan, I added grass to make the trees look better, I added rock-work across the background, and I've begun on the Rise of the Resistance part of the ride with the cylinder bunker. galaxysedge5 by Masterbuilder04, on Flickr -

@Max_Bricks Thank you! I've been using aerial images for reference :) -
To celebrate the opening of Rise of the Resistance soon, I decided to try and recreate most of Galaxy's Edge from the Disney parks in mini-LEGO scale. I used the 55555 Millenium Falcon polybag for this model. So far I've only done about 1/3rd of the entire land, but I can update this post as I build more. LEGO Ninjago 2018
MasterofElements replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
From what we know so far, paired with some hopeful-yet-logical thinking, I'd say NCD is similar to UCS Hoth yet still is constrained to a (or a few) baseplates. The set takes up more volume, yet is not as massive as the City. For buildings, I'd think we would get a section of the school to connect the docks and the city, the pilates studio, and a few other miscellaneous shops. Of course, a large dock section would take up some space with perhaps the Ninja's base. The warehouse could have mini mechs and perhaps even some arcade machines and Nya's bike. I think we will also see the school's cheerleaders, the Narwhal, and the fuchsia ninja.- 2,384 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion
MasterofElements replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm just spitballing here, but what are we certain the D2C is for Infinity War, and not just the MCU in general? Avengers Tower is easily the most iconic thing from the MCU, the only thing that'd make me not think it would be that would be that it was sold in Homecoming. One more theory in the spoiler tag...- 3,962 replies

When it's said that the Hulkbuster has a "go to sleep" function, does that imply that the hand moves forwards and back, or that the entire arm can be moved up and down? Because I see no room for such a feature in the hand area.- 3,962 replies

Softer cloth material and it's two separate pieces, so it's much easier to take off and avoid crinkling.- 3,962 replies

First of all, sets looks fantastic. I will develop thoughts soon. I noticed that the new Iron Man armor (MK. 50) seems to be present in both the Final Battle and the Sanctorum. Where's the damaged version? Inside the Hulkbuster? I hope so.- 3,962 replies

We all know the Jurassic World set images are out to the dismay of those anticipating Infinity War. There may, however, some value in Owen's figure (Chris Pratt's character). The face used is new and can easily double for an accurate Infinity War Star-Lord (with mustache)! Not sure why Lego didn't just reprint the head, but either way I'm glad it's out there and easily accessible.- 3,962 replies
