  1. Since we have had several discussions in the past that border on being debates I'd just like to say that I have never been personally offended by you. While we don't always agree I do think you do add to this site, especially with your MOCs as you are one of those builders who like building in ways that annoy me! :-D Hopefully we all can get on better in the future and focus on what is important... Lego! :-P
  2. Well that I find more annoying! Cafe Corner is too expensive for an impulse buy, but Market Street would be awful tempting. Shame I'm in Hobart! :-|
  3. If it makes you feel any better I can see the resemblance; but it is hardly surprising as the skiffs aren't exactly a complicated design. Perhaps this is how they were designed... :-P
  4. I think your being a bit premature here. Without knowing the price of the new set it's hard to compare... Besides, you can only see one side of the plane; it may actually have those hinges!
  5. Yes, several times. Recently I got an extra bag of beams with my 8288 crane! *sweet*
  6. Oh. So flying things need hoses, but walking ones don't. Cool. I understand now. I thought we were discussing, but I apoligise if I came off a bit strong. I was just stating my opinion on your opinion, but if I am bothering you I won't do that in the future. However, feel free to pick apart my logic whenever you want. I love being proved wrong! :-P
  7. I like the mod, except for the 1x1 window piece at door level. I can't think what that is supposed to be. Is it structual?
  8. Ahhh, but you have misunderstood what I was saying! :-P I was just saying that the being grey is OK! That was all. The rest of my post was just an expanded analysis. :-$ That was why I said "Even so". By that I meant I was moving on to a new point.... Who said that it was steam pressure driven? The way I saw it was the steam drove a piston, that drove a shaft inside the strut. While it probably is too thin, this is Lego after all.... Besides, you can't pick on it for that as MOC 2 has no hoses at all!
  9. Elves would have to be my number one want.... and please Lego, no hobbits! :-X
  10. I always called him Hinckley anyway. :-P I am very glad though that he has a capital letter now; names with out capitals freak me out. (Yes, I am a Self Servicer! :-$ )
  11. ...and you might be surprised to hear that I think you have a point. I think grey and bley are great for steampunk. Even so (and technique aside) MOC 1 is more what I see as steampunk. MOC 2 has no clear mechanics (the shovels could be stacks I suppose 8-| ) and IMHO aside from the printed piece and the helmet it looks no different to a futuristic suit/mech. While steampunk doesn't have to always include steam, for me it certainly does help. That is what I think of when I hear "steampunk". A mixture of 200 year old tech with tech that wasn't there at the time. MOC 1 has clear mechanics and does something modern while still looking old. It also has some clever parts usage; I have to get me one of those RockRaiders canopys! I am very impressed though how both MOCs turned out. I thought with only 50 pieces both would look lame. I'd buy both of these; including MOC 2 as I want one of those helmets! :-P Great work! *sweet*
  12. It's against my religion to vote for MOC 2 due to illegal parts usage.... :-$ I'm going to go and cry over the soul of the Mini-Fig ripped in two to make that hardsuit. :'-(
  13. I wasn't aware that it was coming to David Jones, but this kind of thing does happen a lot. For example Toys'r'Us are getting the 10174 UCS AT-ST this year, and in the past ToyWorld have had the Death Star, and K-Mart has had Cloud City and the UCS X-Wing, Tie Fighter, Snowspeeder... If I was there I'd consider buying it too.
  14. I love it. *wub* It just goes to prove that you can still do great castle MOCs without using balmy amount of bricks.
  15. Ohhhh! I didn't get that reference. :-$
  16. Cool! I look forward to that! *sweet*
  17. X-Wing Cockpit! Great shape, and very useful, with or without the printing. If I was to pick a second it would be the droid body. R2 is my favourite Star Wars character after all. *wub*
  18. That is a just perfect scene! *wub* Great find.
  19. Interesting story! :-P I pick the Ice-brick; I think the whole "I don't like these things" thing is just an act. X-D I use mine all the time. Don't worry about the lack of a walrus; they are starting to get rare on Bricklink. :-P Indeed. I changed a few of my links to Flickr but it was fixed soon after. :-| I think I will soon start hosting them on my own site...
  20. Welcome to Eurobricks! Don't worry; there are many non-Europeans here.... :-P
  21. Yay! *sweet* IR car! IR car! IR car! IR car! :-|
  22. Cool! *wub* Very cool! I like how the cat looks unsure of that it is... :-D I want to do the same but I have to design a car first....
  23. I voted for; Engine - Simonwillems.... because his looked the most like mine! Honestly, mine was my favourite! :-$ But it is such bad form to vote for your own stuff. I have never been a fan of the US style fire engines and that negates half the entries. I'm in trouble now, aren't I.... 8-| Ladder - Simonwillems. A Messerschmitt ladder car. :-P Anyone who has seen the movie Brazil would realise in a second how absurd the concept is! (And you haven't seen Brazil you should, but be warned it might drive you insane! :-D ) ARFF Lassie D. He is a real talent. People really should look here prior to voting. It not only looks great it has a working pump and suspension.... 8-
  24. Does Technic have two waves? I recall that the Bulldozer was first shown late 06...
