An eBay find that just made me laugh too hard
Siegfried replied to Shadows's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I love that Tiki! *sweet* -
Maybe next month. I am already maintaining three lists as it is! :-D
-
With the exception of the green blobs, I love these sets. I do agree that the shooting functions should go, but I have found uses for these in the past. I think you are right. A neutal vote might has well be a missed vote.

I am at 99% completion with the main model which means I would be prepared to call it finished now if I had to. I should be starting on the secondary today, and there might be further sub models depending on time and pieces. I look forward to being able to discuss how this progressed for me as it has not gone as planned! I quite like mine too. It probably won't last long though as this MOC does use almost 10% of my parts! Perhaps we should make a list and have a big circle of b!tches so we can all be someones b!tch at the same time as having a b!tch ! X-D Ahh. That is a common problem. It's caused by the belief that the whole world is just one big HTML page and that if something doesn't have brackets front and back it doesn't exist. Let me assure you this is just a myth. X-O

Darn. I think I want all the Indy sets now. They all seem to have parts that I want.... 8-
-
Actually I prefer the new ones and I think the current minfig number per set is good. It doesn't take long to have too many of a certain minifig. I have more than enough construction figures for example....
-
Have you started yet?
-
I figure it would involve a lot of bum smelling from both parties!
-
That's how I feel! If I can't carry around a model without parts falling off, epecially if it is a ship, then I redesign it. I especially hate it when people break minifigs torsos and use them as parts. :-X

Happy birthday JediJeff, Lost Viking & Wowplayer!

A three way Birthday! Have a good one all of you! *sweet* -
Fishing for attention, are we? :-P Well I can't talk as I have done similar things in the past! :-$ However, a MOC this good really can't be missed. *wub* I'm still stunned by how beautiful this is. Additionally, it has some very smart part usage, especially what you have done to make the loading bay. If that wasn't enough, you then added the cool exterior details like the billboard! :-D The fermenting system looks suitably complicated, although you really need more ageing vats! :-P I love how you have included a lift for adding hops to the fermentor. The printed plate, while a nice touch, doesn't work for me though. Prior to deciding to go to your site, I was going to insult your lack of an office, and I am glad that I decided to check! Great touch, from there he has a commanding view of his minions! *wub* (I won't include this photo to encourage people to go to your site and see it for themselves! ;-) ) The van is kind of cool, but lately those wheels have been saying to me "too small for trucks" (hence my fire-engine) so it loses points from me there. :-$ It does look very suited to the brewery though. Oddly, your photos seem to be missing a few details. I would love to see the internal connection with the fire escape.... or isn't there one? I can see in one photo... ...the middle level off to the right and I can just see the door there, but nothing seems to be in front of it... 8-| Did you end up integrating this MOC into your town? Being raised will create more that a few problems, although it would work well near a wharf. (Maybe I should make something similar! :-D ) Overall this is my favourite building MOC ever. Honest. The biggest reason why I think this design is great is because it should appeal to people who like the "traditional" building style as well as those who prefer the more recent "Cafe Corner" style. To me it seems so real, yet not over detailed. Looking at this makes me want to forget about "Cafe Corner" clones and start work on a "Hinckley Brewing Co." clone ASAP. Simply gorgeous. *sweet*

Just cause im curious... and am sure others are too...
Siegfried replied to Brick Miner's topic in Community
That is one of the problems with places like Bricklink and eBay. Some people treat it like a job, others a hobby. What gets me grumpy is when people don't update the status thoughout the entire order. -
I don't know. I wanted to vote for myself! :-D Until the last minute I had no votes in the new city competition, which I did find a bit depressing as I spent a lot of time on the tugboat. I even tweaked it and re-took the photos! In the end I think I got one vote... Luckily I made the tugboat as I wanted a tugboat, the competion was just a good excuse to do it now! :-P Well, yours was a well made engine, it just wasn't my style! It was though the only one of it's type so if someone likes engines like that then yours would have been the one to pick! It was a much harder decision for lovers of US style firetrucks! :-D

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Vignette! VOTE NOW!
Siegfried replied to Shadows's topic in Special LEGO Themes
No, but SW4J should.... -
For those in Australia that didn't buy the first bulldozer they found, K-Mart are selling it this week for $200 instead of $250.... :-| They claim to have it first. :-P

Hitchhikers is a short book... ;-) -
Thanks! *sweet* I downloaded them all! Now it will be even easier to compare the prototypes with the finished versions.... 8-|

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Vignette! VOTE NOW!
Siegfried replied to Shadows's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I voted for Doctor Sinister as he did a great version of one of my favourite scenes from the trilogy. :-P I believe the only novel of his that I have not read is "The Salmon of Doubt". I even own the print version of the unofficial novel of Shada... Sorry. :-$ I did want to enter but with the 3500 part MOC i'm making for the smackdown I'm a bit low on time. :'-( -
Well, it's hard to argue with that! :'-( But even so, please don't take it too personally. There were a lot of entries and it is easy to get missed when that happens. I thought that I had a chance of winning myself and I put a bit of work in my entry, but it was not to be! :-P I hope you are prepared to give it another go next competion! :-) So when is the voting over UB?
-
:-D That would be worth soooo much if this was the Enterprise!
-
Any reason why?
-
Thanks! I never knew that they were all from one magazine! *sweet* I can relate to it all! :-$

Good boy! *wub*
