That is a really cool creation. There aren't many people who build interiors (without exteriors) these days. Hinckley is one that I can think of. Any reason for this MOC or is it just for fun?

:-D I think the problem is more the subject choice. The Titanic (and aircraft carriers) are not very interesting due to slab sides. There is a guy doing Yamato... ...which I find impressive due to the high level of detail required. (Most WWII Japanese ships had insane looking superstructure.) I've never been that impressed with many of those either. :-D I do like the A380 model though. Maybe we should have a poll? X-D Sure! I hope so! Otherwise there are two people making the same giant ship and there is only so much attention to go around! ;-)

Call me a negative nancy if you like, but aside from the vast number of pieces involved, what is so impressive about this? Like the Harry S. Truman Carrier there are no remarkable techniques involved in the construction, nor does it require much imagination... or is this just my jealousy speaking? :-P I wonder what possesses someone to spend so much money to make something like this. *wacko* What would you do with it afterwoods? 8-

The problem is that both of those are just to big to sell. Both would have 5000+ pieces afterall... If it was Star Wars maybe, but I can't see Lego ever selling original designs with more than 5000 pieces. I hope I am wrong though.

I suspect that the terms of the license changed. Thus this set would have been too expensive so it was scaled back to meet the planned price point. :'-(
