Really for me I'd would have been LotR and I think I'm not alone there but I guess since it's back ( as part of icons though, with no smaller minifig system sets) it doesn't count? I know it wouldn't be amongst everyone but now we've got LotR (sort of) Doctor Who would be most wanted new licensed theme. Most requested though? You think after LotR it'd be Indonesia Jones? I dunno, I suppose it could be. Is there any actual survey or anything though, I'm not kidding I'm genuinely interested in that sort of data if it exists. If nothing had leaked then you'd have just had a nice surprise when (/if? ) the official reveal came.

No not really, just that a fig goes inside and then it goes on a course made from set parts like digifig Mario but presumably with no electronics. I'm having trouble visualising it, cause they'd need it to do a loop-de-loop wouldn't they? Sonic games always have those, I can't remember if we heard someone say it'd be like city stunts, but of course they have pullback 'motors' which would work with a sphere, perhaps there's a launcher? But the idea that the spheres fit figs implies there'll be a few options maybe? I'd guess at very least Sonic, Tails and Knuckles... Though shadow reusing the sonic head would be an easy thing for Lego to do as well. Maybe Amy Rose to get a slightly better gender ratio but they might save some of these for a second wave? Personally I'd like the sonic trio, the dark trio and Amy rose. But I know Omega hasn't really appeared much recently so he's unlikely, but I might be to brick build a decent one, I'll have to try if end getting a rogue the bat, so that I can complete team dark from doing heroes ( which was pretty much the sonic game from my childhood)

Ah yes, looks like the magic mirror is a sheild print not a 2x4 tile with curved corners lik I'd originally assumed. And I had hoped that doctor faliciair would have is skull mask, oh well. They look pretty good. But I don't think I'll just pick up random bags like I have with series 24, I'll just go to my local Lego shop who have the presorted and pick up my favourites. ( I hope they'll still find a way to sort them after the age of boxes begins.( And if there are still bags inside the boxes imma be so mad)) Also incase anyone cares (I do not) but I saw a new Duplo Disney castle on #legoleaks2023 ( usually using the corresponding year's hashtag you still get all the actual leaks but less random posts hopping on the big hashtag bandwagon as it isn't as big a hashtag as it's only used till the end of the year)

Is this 'lego insider news' guy known for reliable information? I might have to hope that this set does retire too quick, if real, as my priorities at the moment are Rivendell, the batcave, Mando S3 sets, Ninjago city markets and the Zelda and medieval village sets from the survey leak. This year is getting very full, though if it's a redcoat boat I might just have to rethink some of my priorities as I missed out on barracuda bay and I wouldn't want to miss this.

Putting 5 minifigs in $500ish playset would be like making an $100 playset with only the one figure. I genuinely think that we do not need to worry.

If the swamp does come with rex hopefully it's a bad batch S2 set from an episode we haven't seen yet, but if it it isn't then hopefully Rex is with P2 shinies or 322nd troopers. 322nd with the new helmet would also mean an easy way to approximate a decent Vaughn, using a spare Cody visor. I'm guessing it'll be that mystery 1083 pieces set that I thought would be skeleton crew and others were expecting was a clone gunship. I guess we'll get skeleton crew in 2024.

Oh yeah that should count too if the two tanks do! I actually quite liked getting an imperial ship interior corridor and I didn't have a RotJ Luke .. but yeah the dark troopers were a big appeal.

If you are counting the republic tank that includes 3 troops (technically one of them is the commander anyway so only 2 generic clones) and one other named character minifig (ignoring droids as they aren't minifigs) for £34.99 then you have to count the imperial tank that comes with 3 troops (and though he is a specialist the mortar trooper is still more generic than the 187th commander) and one other named character minifig for £34.99. And I didn't include the set we don't have solid info on, because we don't have solid info on it, for all we know it could only come with jedi and wookies. And in my defense on the last part I said OT era not OT.

You say that like resistance is clearly the worst on screen star wars content. It isn't ( that's tRoS for me I'm afraid). Whilst I don't want resistance sets and would really love rebels sets, there are alot of things the show did better than Rebels ( and I say this with Rebels as my favourite star wars show, with a Rebels character as my Avatar and name here). Maybe from a certain point of view but technically no. In terms of actual factual battle packs from the last 5 years (2023,2022,2021,2020,2019) we've had one clone pack, 3 imperial packs, 1 Mando pack, 1 first order pack and one final order pack. If we include the accessory packs then there's one rebel one and one clone one. Then if want too include bigger sets then we have the Trexler for the empire the hover tank and the 501st troopers set for the clones. 4 clones, 4 empire, 1 rebelion, 1 Mandos, 2 first/final orders. Or 4 PT era (PT + TCW), 6 OT era ( OT + Mando + Battlefront), 2 ST era. And don't you dare try and call the AT-TE a battlepack. It's over a hundred pounds for 4 troopers ( Cody is a named character so I'm not counting him as massable clone trooper)

In more on topic question, thinking about the maybe the 4th promo, if it is the same style as last year, what is a little scene they could do that would make sense with the X-wing and include one exclusive minifigure? ( Though only one of Beru's prints was new and exclusive iirc)

Jeez this thread derailed but not in the fun way. Though just to have my 2 cents IMO well chosen iconic prequel dioramas would sell better than poorly chosen original trilogy ones like the meditation chamber, but they haven't really repeated that blunder yet so I don't think we'll see any prequel dioramas until they've exhausted the best and most suitable moments from the OT (so what 2025).

I might not say it's a better film in terms of quality but in terms of enjoyment it's on par with those 2 for me. As for a non-jedi temple MBS ( though if Indiana Jones can get a 12+ heart sacrifice and child enslavement set then we can get a 18+ off a place where of screen child murder and genocide occured.... Oh wait the ToD set is in limbo ) - the senate building, make it interior focused like the death star ones, have a palpys office and the room with all the senate pods. I mean it could even be a episode one or two set but RotS is the only time there's any action in the building.

Extended editions of the lotr films right? I would watch the hobbit trilogy next then rings of power. In terms of reading I'd read the Hobbit first the Lord of the Rings, then the others.

I agree that Lego would be foolish to miss a great opportunity if they don't release a new system scale gunship relatively soon ( same goes for P2 rex) I just don't think that this is it. It would be weird if it was wasn't skeleton crew really, unless that show had been delayed into next year, (Disney plus does seem to love moving releases after all) as it would be then the first new live action star war release to not get something, though I assume it would get something soon enough even if this set isn't it. Perhaps it's a vaguely spoilery TBBS2 set, though sadly I doubt it. I'm just thinking that why it's unknown is either because it's a limited release of some sort (like a retailer exclusive a d I don't think they'd want to make a gunship retailer exclusive, but who knows) or it's from something new and so details are under wraps or it's not a normal system set at all as Lego does seem to keep making random other stuff like the helmets and the dioramas. Is the unknown set releasing alongside the summer wave or is it later?

Bad batch season 2 was originally listed to launch may 4th 2022, it was delayed multiple times. Dare I say your expectations seem build on desire more than logic, I mean as I've said I'd like a gunship too but I think that would be a flagship set so it'd be listed with the others, and not an unknown. I expect it's from something new like skeleton crew or its a retailer exclusive but I guess time will tell. TBH there is a lot of nonsense on the Legoleaks hashtag, I tend to block the obvious bullshitters and I do follow FalconFan and Promobricks so they tend to have all the big description scoops it's only for images that I have to go on the hashtag. I do also find that the legoleaks2023 or whatever relevent year one is usually less cluttered but still tends to have the same info. Horse in the race... Are you hinting at a canto bight D2C? Well we know more about Barad-dûr than any dial of destiny sets. We've seen a preliminary picture, and we have a description of some of the features and we know some of the potential minifigs.

I wouldn't want a live action remake but if it was animated it could more distinctly different and they could include all the details from the books missed in the films, like Tom Bombadil, Radaghast in fellowship ( as in in the first book not in the fellowship itself), the barrow wights, Fatty Bolger, Nob, the scouring of the Shire, Sharkey, Crick hollow, Quickbeam, Gloins's tale to Frodo, Eowyn and Faramir plotline, etc.

I still think they could make a scouring of the shire movie. Replace Frodo with Rosie as he's already gone to the undying lands and Sharkey wouldn't be Saruman (though I'm not sure who'd be a good replacement) and we can have our four main hobbits go on a little adventure, to see the others in Rivendell or something and then come back to the shire being devastated and then have to unite the hobbits against Sharkey using the skills they learned from their adventures to save Thier home. A children of Hurin duology would be good also though I'm not how I'd want them to approach the incest, avoiding entirely removes some of the tragedy of Turin but I kind of want them to remove it anyway, it'd only lead to GoT comparisons anyway despite being entirely different.
