  1. Thanks! Yeah, I have a whole series of these that I posted a while back on Mocpages. I'm revisiting/redesigning/rebuilding some of my favorites.
  2. Thought I'd work in action-fig (miniland-scale) scale again. Boba Fett arrives at Jabba's palace with a valuable bounty! "He's no good to me dead!"
  3. Nice work, Doc! Love the SNOT techniques that you're a master of and the shape is very accurate. This was actually one of the few earlier sets I never got. may have to pick one up on Bricklink some day for nostalgia's sake. Despite the few flaws you pointed out, this is still better than than the official set (and more accurate).
  4. Oh, I gotcha. Yeah, the middle legs are pretty flimsy, but it's only fiction, right?
  5. Thanks, man! If you check out the front/back views of this on Mocpages, you'll see the legs are thicker than 1 brick wide.
  6. Unlike my other mocs on here, this is actually new! Top view Open cockpit
  7. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!! This thing in HUGE and definately takes me back to the scene where Luke confronts Vader with "the truth". I love the work put into those towers, and particularly enjoy the hallway test shots. I seem to remember the trees being almost as tall as the base, though. Maybe I'm remembering the scenes wrong, and I'm sure you guys wouldn't want to put more time and pieces into making taller trees. Anyway, beautiful work and can't wait to see the finished product!
  8. Thanks, everybody!
  9. This was something I built to post on Christmas. Obviously, it's a bit late, but I think it's a good enough moc to share:) The rocket launcher has been refitted with a fireworks launcher! The other cannon has been refitted with a candy cane launcher. Watch out, kids! Those are sharp. TOO MUCH EGGNOG!
  10. "Chibi" is a Japanese term which means "small or childlike". The term has also been swapped with the term "super-deformed". Basically, it's a character with a big head, hands, and feet and a small body. Check out the hasbro "Galactic Heroes" line for some visual references.
  11. Thanks! Yeah, I think it's on the bonus DVD. There's a certain combination of numbers involving 1138 that you type in on your remote and it activates this video. You can find the video on Youtibe. It's hilarious
  12. Thanks, man! Originally, I was inspired by the Galactic Heroes line of toys. I didn't know what a Cube Dude was when I started. If you wanna get technical, you can look up "chibi" or "super-deformed" to know where I'm coming from with this look.
  13. Thanks! You can see a TON more pics and mocs on my mocpages account.
  14. This was inspired by an easter egg video on the Ep III DVD showing Yoda breakdancing to the Black Eyed Peas:)
  15. LONG before FBTB had their contest, I was building Chibi versions of Star Wars characters. I'll be posting some of the better ones:
  16. Thanks! I did mean to pit the slopes the way I have them. THis is a detail that's supposed to look more like crosshairs on the machine guns rather than emulating the "real" X-Wing guns.
  17. Here's yet another Steampunk SW vehicle! I tried to resize these pics so Kieldaman won't Kiel me! Top view: Back view (notice the furnace): Luke and R2-STEAM-2:
  18. Right. The idea is that it resembles an X-Wing. I had to make the wingtip cannons shorter to allow the arms to swing.
  19. Thanks for the kind words! This was definately inspired be Gundam, Robotech, Transformers, and every other mecha franchise I can think of:)
  20. Thanks! No, it can't transform, though I've built a couple SW mocs that can. Just check out my Mocpages page.
  21. A theme I started combining classic SW vehicles with super-awesome mecha! Back View: Cockpit:
  22. I think I commented on this on Flickr, but, again, this is a great representation of the "chibi look". Cute and still functional. I love the addition of the orange background and the sand.
  23. This looks really cool! As others have said, it's a bit long (maybe 4 studs?). Also you should add a fan piece to the turbine part (like the set). Lovin the studless look, though:)
  24. You shouldn't need to split the legs. Just use a new speederbike or motorcycle chasis so the fig can "straddle" the bike.
  25. You want more Steampunk Star Wars? You got it:
