Thanks, Doc! Once I decided on the letter "O", I really thought about how I could incorporate the circular design into the ship. I decided to use the shape as much as possible to convey the idea.

I'm not completely up on who made what in the SW universe. The 2nd part is an "adult" joke. I wouldn't say it's "vulgar", just not something a younger person would understand.

This is my entry for FBTB's "Alphabet Fighter" Contest, the O-Wing Fighter-"The Big 'O'"! The Empire, with a need for fighters that could travel through hyperspace, combined the design of the hyperspace ring used years before by the Jedi with the compact design of the TIE fighter. I used all my trans-light blue round bricks for this build. For some reason, only female pilots could operate the O-Wing, because only they seemed to understand the deep, dark mysteries of "The Big 'O'"!

I agree with others that this is a huge improvement over the 1st version! The overall shape and color scheme really make this stand out and look quite accurate. I see your point about improving the shape/angles, but you could post this as a final version and I'd buy it!

Thanks for the kind words!

As I stated on Flickr, this is epic in many ways! The cheese slopes on the back of the head are a nice technique. Love the overall shape, legs, etc. The only thing I would change would be the middle "toes". I would try slope/curved slope parts of some sort or hinge plates with tiles. Otherwise, this is PERFECT!

Thanks, Doc!

This is inspired by several different images and ideas, so I'm sad to say I'm not the first to come up with this idea. I think I AM the first to present this in Lego and in Moodland (bigger-than-Miniland and more articulated) Scale. Vader's blade is stained with the blood of fallen foes!

[MOC] "Micro Collection" Death Star Escape
M<0><0<DSWIM replied to BaronSat's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm actually old enough to remember the SW Micro coleections and this totally brings back memories for me! Awesome idea and beautiful build! I love how you've recreated the look and all the playability of the original toy line. -
The fact that this is SNOT makes my eyeballs pop outta my head! I love all the details and shape, but I can definately see room for more details to be added (turrets, inside details, etc).
-
Very nice work here, Masked! I think this is my favorite of these vigs you've been building. I love the surreal look with the mysterious orb and wreakage.

Thanks for blogging this, man!

Thanks, man! This actually IS the 3rd in a series. You can check out Vader's MECH Advanced here My link and Luke's MECH-Wing here: My link plus I've posted them somewhere in these forums.

Thanks, everybody! Glad you like this.

Thanks! I've always been a huge Voltron fan and that look could easily be swapped with the Gundam look.
-
Thanks, man! 'Bout time someone "gets it". Thanks! I actually tried to think of some ways not to make the head so "cubed", but don't have the right parts in the right colors to do it.
-
Thanks! That note you left on Flickr was pretty funny Thanks, man! The biggest challenge of this build was to make it look simultaneously like Boba and Slave I. Sounds like I achieved that (luckily for me, Fett's armor is nearly the same color scheme as the ship)
-
This is the next in my SW vehicles-as-mecha theme, Boba fett's Mech I! Obviously, this is inspired by the Transformers Crossover design with a bit of Gundam influence thrown in. "You talkin' to me?" "Ahhhh! I've got a little bounty hunter in my chest!"

This is absolutely stunning, man! I can't really see where you could improve this (maybe add walls between the pillars). I love the multi-level tiling on the pillars and the "vines" are definately accurate to the scene. I can just hear the end music theme in my head!

One of the best way I've learned building techniques is by studying official sets. Deconstruct your Star Destroyer and study how Lego designed the frame so it was the right shape. Then apply that frame technique (modified and longer, of course) to this build. Hope that helps

[MOC] General Grievous ("Moodland" Scale)
M<0><0<DSWIM replied to M<0><0<DSWIM's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks! I did recreate his organ sack(?) with a couple trans green bricks. I added a link to my gallery on mocpages (which I forgot to do earlier) so you can see for yourself. -
[MOC] General Grievous ("Moodland" Scale)

Thanks, man! I think if you tried your hand at a larger fig, it would probably turned out quite nicely! -
[MOC] General Grievous ("Moodland" Scale)
M<0><0<DSWIM replied to M<0><0<DSWIM's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks, Doc! It's thanks to builders' suggestions like your's that have helped me to continually improve to where I am today (and, hopefully, beyond). -
I'm proud to present my newest build, which I feel is one of my personal best! Brickdoctor made a comment on my last post stating that my "Miniland" scale builds were bigger and (obviously) more articulated. He said he would start calling them "Mood scale" figs. I said "how about 'Moodland' scale?" since that's a bit of a play on words. So this is my "Moodland" scale General Grievous! I slaved for weeks over this to try and get it as accurate as possible. As always, I'm dying to know what you all think "Army or not, you must realize...YOU ARE DOOMED!" "Wassup, Jedi?!" You can check out the full gallery on my Mocpages page: My link

Awesome work here! I love all the techniques used (especially the minifig hands) to achieve that greebly, mecha-stylin look. I'd love to see whatever mech this was supposed to be too.
