  1. Thanks! I originally planned on having a moc of the whole chase scene, but getting this part built (torn apart, rebuilt, rebuilt, etc) was hard enough!
  2. Thanks, Doc! When I started on the Scout's helmet, I did try several different techniques to get the visor to look right, but everything I tried made the head look too wide, so I had to use the scaled-down version you see.
  3. I spent 2 weeks trying to get this as accurate as possible! I spent quite a bit of time getting the fig to look right, as well. Scout Trooper takes "Li'l Scouty" out on patrol! As always, you can check out the full gallery here: My link
  4. HAHAHAAA! This is priceless! I love how the alley has that "onboard the Death Star" look to it. Great way to return to Lego building and I can't wait to see what you do next
  5. Very cool little scene, Masked! I love the clean, crisp look with the tiling and the sharpness of the pics. For some reason, I'd like to see a blasted Battle Droid laying in front at the clones' feet.
  6. YES! Finally Legostein builds in MIDI scale (I've been waiting a while for you to do so)! I absolutely love the Venator and can't wait to see more. Maybe only post 1 midi model at a time since they are more time-consuming.
  7. Thanks! I actually started out building this with full-size legs, but, they didn't fold underneath the ship without making it look clunky, so I went smaller. I actually kinda intended the smaller legs to look a bit silly or Chibi-ish. It is called Luke's Skyhopper, after all. Thanks! The windscreen of the AT-AT actually is red (just like Vader's eye lenses) an often overlooked fact, especially by Lego. Thanks! I'll take all the votes I can get.
  8. This is my entry for FBTB's Hybridfighter contest! The story goes that Luke crashes yet another X-wing during a battle with a small band of AT-AT's on the planet Arellous V. He must rebuild a new fighter using the remnants of his X-wing and various pieces from a downed walker. In order to escape the heavy gravity of Arellous V, Luke must attach foldable legs in order to allow the ship to "hop" into orbit. Here's a view of the legs folded out: Top view: I figured, since this was a mash-up of vehicles, I should mash up Luke's pilot outfit with that of an AT-AT pilot's and rebuild a damaged R2 with various Imperial droid parts.
  9. Thanks! I agree with you about the BD design. If you check out my Mocpages post, I comment that the build is a work-in-progress. I want to order some more tan hinge plates so I can make the legs thinner and more skeletal.
  10. Okay! I'll post those tomorrow:)
  11. Thanks, man! I tried several techniques to give Ani "longish" hair, but he kept looking like ep3 Ani. I tried slopes, cheese slopes, and every plate in between...
  12. Anakin Skywalker Obi-Wan Kenobi Battle Droid
  13. Thanks, man! There is no manipulation of images here. That's actually too much shadow (because I'm struggling with lighting right now) and the nose is the same part as in the other pics.
  14. I wasn't sure if this warranted a new topic, since it's an extension of my last post, but I think it does deserve it's own post. Let me know what you think As per your requests, here's a darker pic showing the glow of the Saber: And here's a pic showing how I did it. I used a light-up brick and tube from an Exo-Force set. Obviously, this would only work for the cropped close-up shot I presented. May have to get some of those LED hilts that were on FBTB...
  15. Thanks, Doc! If you check out my Mocpages post, you'll see I originally tried to include a backdrop, but it just didn't look right. Also, the railing isn't accurate to the "real" thing, but I worked with what I had. Thank you, kind sir! Thanks, man! I made a conscious effort to make Vader taller than Luke.
  16. Luke (not yet) ready to face vader! Vader ready to put the smack-down on Luke!
  17. Thanks, everybody, for the kind words and encouragement! And thanks for blogging me KimT:) Thanks, Doc! I really did try to outdo myself here, adding as much detail and greebling as I could. Glad it paid off!
  18. This is the next in my series of SW vehicles-as-mecha series: Vader's MECH Advanced! I wanted this to have a Gundam-like look but still attaining the greebled look of alot of SW vehicles. This is influenced by the Gundams of Mithryl Dlarix and the Hasbro Vader T-former. Vader in the cockpit. Vader holding Vader:) As always, you can check out the full gallery on my Mocpages page! My link
  19. Awesome! I love the techniques you used for the cannons and the engines.
  20. Thanks! Yes, that's earth orange. originally, I was using orange, but realized that the minifig's hood is darker. After pillaging some SW sets, I had enough dark orange for the build:) Thanks for the comment and thank YOU for blogging me again:)
  21. I thought I'd combine Steampunk and Chibi with a bit of Ewok cuteness. After the Battle of Endor, the Alliance helped the Ewoks improve their technology to defend against future invasions. "This beats throwing rocks at 'em!"
  22. Who's the bigger fool? The fool, or the fool who follows him?

  23. Cool! I agree with the others: that baseplate is awesome (may have to steal...er...borrow that idea). Unfortunately, that's the best part of this moc. I really think you should add a disabled speeder bike/transport of some sort with flames coming off of it in the middle of the figs to add a little more action. Then apply tiles to the remaining studded top. Otherwise, it's just 3 clones pointing guns at 3 bounty hunters. I like the brick-built guns for the troops, as well.
  24. Thanks for the comment! I've been a HUGE fan of your mini SW models on Brickshelf, and am honored to get a comment from you. Can't wait to see what you build next:)

  25. Thanks! His jetpack is blue actually (more like dark blue, but didn't have the right pieces in that color).
