LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
retrotaco replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yeah, you really need to check EVERY SINGLE endcap and the collectible sections for minifigures, Target doesn't always have the CMF's near the sets (near me, at least, they RARELY are near the sets themselves) - it's very easy to overlook them.- 1,421 replies

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I looooooove that one of the minifigures is Arkham Joker, my post-work routine has been to go to a store with the series in stock, and feel out one random from the series I need and a Joker. Now I have three Arkham jumpsuits before even getting the set! Love it. -

Has the Battle Pod been announced anywhere other than Asia as of now? -
I can't wait for a year or so down the line when the dual molded parts will have been released in a larger number of color variations - they add SO MUCH to the superhero costumes, but the selection of colors now is small. Down the line tho!

I just don't understand the complaining because if you don't like a specific Bat-suit (especially if it's a promo or not part of another set) then, uh... don't buy it? Save yourself some money, get yourself a set/minifigure you'd rather have. It's only on YOU if you wanna be a completionist. They started popping up in my local Target and Walmarts just the past two days, and some of the Walmarts look like they're still trying to push Series 16 HARD, so I'd expect the Batman CMFs to pop up very soon, at least here in the states. -
Oh, I know that, but this is the costume Tim Drake is currently using in the New52; It's close enough for rock'n'roll IMO if someone was looking for 'current' New52/Rebirth looks.

Yeah, unless the build/car is something really special, most of the pieces just end up in my big collection from the Superheroes sets.

Just a random note, was reading some of the new Detective Comics issues (with the team of youngsters and Batwoman) and noticed that this Robin minifigure; Is pretty much a dead-ringer for Tim Drake's new "Red Robin" look in the series. Logo isn't the "double-R" that he has, but it's pretty close.

I'd much prefer more dual-molded short legs than legs with 'battle' printing, would up the re-use factor IMO.- 1,421 replies

Saw a TON of those big Lego minifgure banks/clocks/statues (like the Ninjago one on the main page) and thought it'd be really cool to see some DC characters who grow (or are already gigantic) made in that scale, but then it clicked that it's only really like Giganta and, uh... Chemo? who are that big in the DCU. Apache Chief maybe lol So, yeah, doubt we'll see that but it'd be pretty great.

I'm not really in a place where I can help out right now, but they are ALL OVER Wal-Marts in the States here, someone may be able to help you out with a trade or something :)

Looks great for a New52'ish Hawkman, but I've been using white (I think they were) Chima wings, same effect, cool old school look. Grey wings would be great for a 90's Hawkman too.

Definitely don't mind Cody! :) Looks awesome! Hmmm...hadn't thought about the yellow with a clear decal. Think a clear decal with the dark grey muscles and a white decal over that with the bat-symbol would work, or way too problematic with decal over decal?

Number of sets I'll get depends on how much blood and plasma the human body needs to keep functioning... -
That's awesome Pep, any chance you could post it without the grey? If you didn't mind me using the design, I'd like to try to print it out and put it on a few grey torsos, and rather have it print 'clear' than grey, y'know? Thank you!

Is there a thread that has all the different dual-molded pieces that have come out? Was looking at my Tim Drake Robin and wondered if there were any green top/black bottom legs that have come out, printed or otherwise, which made me wonder if anyone had made a list or database of the dual-molded stuff.

That'd be awesome and your decals are always on point, I'm excited for the possibility!

I'm exclusively cash-based, so Bricklink is out for me lol, but thank you! How did I not think of the Where Are My Pants guy? That'd be perfect. Now I just gotta track down dual molded white/blue arms lol aaaaaand I'm quite non-purist when I need to be, used the Goth Boy's legs and some 91% rubbing alcohol for my classic black/grey Batman haha!
-
Has anyone made a template of the new Batman torso from TLBMovie? Because if a basic one was made with the same design that could be decaled onto a gray/dark grey torso, we could have the black/grey and blue/grey Batman costumes with the new yellow belt piece as well.

Oooooh, that Voldemort head is perfect, I don't collect the HP Lego at all, so I had no idea that even existed. Was he released/will he be released in the Dimensions expansion packs? Probably easier than tracking down one of the heads from the sets... Do you mean the actual flesh colored arms, like peach/tan, that hue, for his arms? Cause he's usually shown as being white over his entire body, I believe. Is there a torso that features kind of Hawaiian/Tommy Bahama looking print? Cause that'd be the perfect torso for him.

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion

I wouldn't pass it up myself, especially if it has all the bridge pieces - can always buy the minifigs on the second market but it sounds like you've already got them from a previous set, so I definitely wouldn't sleep on it - that's a steal. -
I think I'm gonna use the 2013 Freeze body, domed helmet from TLBMovie, and this new head. I think all of them together will really make the most iconic look for him, can't wait to pick a set up. Still need to get the Power Suit Lex Juniors set too, before they disappear!

Picked up the new Mr. Freeze set from the Batman movie, switched in the new blue head for the old white head, and used the white head, Luthor's suit and some new arms to make Great White Shark; I'm not 100% happy at all with the Luthor suit, it's just the one I had extra's of - I'd like either a more casual look or like maybe a Hawaii'an shirt, he tends to be portrayed like that with his cut-off sleeves lol, but a more 'casual' suit look would be ideal.

Bought the new Mr. Freeze set today, like the mech/robot build much more in person than I expected to, wasn't a big fan based off the reviews/pics, but seeing and holding it in person has changed my mind completely. I also combined my Mr. Freeze from the old Aquaman set with this new Mr. Freeze, and used my leftover old Mr. Freeze head to do a quick and easy (and IMO pretty decent job) custom of one of the few Batman characters left out of the movie lol, Great White Shark;
