  1. If Hulk gets his gladiator armor as rumored that'd make for a good big fig. I don't believe he ever said he didn't want to do Marvel movies. He said making Thor: The Dark World was a nightmare, which by all accounts it was. They were rewriting the script while it was filming after all. I hope we get a Heimdall Minifig. The one in the Lego Avengers game looked neat.
  2. Oh I agree. I was just saying that once you take the TV show out of the equation, there wasn't much putting Daredevil drastically ahead of She-Hulk if we're talking notoriety among non-comic fans. Like someone else said I would imagine her TV appearances factored into her getting a figure to some degree. In my opinion Ghost Rider was really the only oddball if we're talking characters getting minfits.
  3. Pretty much. The only real thing putting Daredevil ahead of other characters is his TV show, and that's not likely something Lego is itching to cash in on. It'd be like making Lego sets for The Walking Dead or Orange Is the New Black.
  4. Do they? Because I don't know many parents who let their kids watch the show. In fact Marvel has gone to great steps to make sure they don't lead kids into watching the show, which is why they didn't put the TV versions of Daredevil and Jessica Jones in Disney Infinity or the the Lego Avengers video game (Notice that Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter got levels or DLC sets devoted to them, but not the Netflix heroes). As for why She-Hulk specifically, aside from her being in a cartoon aimed at little kids, I'm not sure why her inclusion in a Hulk-themed set is surprising. It'd be like being surprised they put Falcon or Bucky in a Captain America set.
  5. Nope. I don't know if we'll see a Wasp fig until 2018 at this point.
  6. Vision is appearing in the third season but most of the new Avengers in that season are all people who already have figs. Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and so on. The only major exceptions are Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel, who could end up getting figs. Scarlet Witch seems to be a persona non grata because of the shared rights issue with Fox, so I wouldn't expect a new comic fig for her anytime soon.
  7. On the subject of the 2017 sets it'd be cool if they put Valkyrie in one of the Ragnarok sets.
  8. I imagine we'll get one. They didn't bother doing one for Dark World but with the Hulk involved (as well as a bunch of new characters) I'm sure Lego is gonna do something. Plus while they didn't do anything for Thor 2 or Cap 2, so far we have gotten sets for every MCU film since Guardians.
  9. True but there's even less incentive when it's for a non-Marvel Studios movie. Probably not anywhere. The R-rated cut was exclusively for the DVD release and everyone involved is saying the next movie will be lighter and more optimistic. Just artistic license. Magneto is sometimes drawn with his face shadowed for dramatic effect. That's probably what they're going for with the Minifig. *snip*
  10. I'm interested in how many Spider-Man sets they'll make for Homecoming. Like Ant-Man and Doctor Strange it probably won't have a lot of marketable characters outside of the main heroes and villains (plus Iron Man). Actually, given the discussion about the main film of the year getting more sets than the others, could Ragnarok be considered the main film of 2017, or Guardians 2? When they said there will be more merchandise for the women, I imagine they were talking about other things. There was lots of controversy about instances of T-shirts and posters and stuff that had all the heroes but the women like Black Widow and Gamora, so they'll probably try to avoid that. Lego is generally pretty good with the female heroes. They got all three women in Civil War (even Sharon Carter, who didn't do anything) so it's not like they're really bad in this area or anything. We'll see Gamora and Mantis minifigs but I doubt they'll warrant multiple sets.
  11. Plus I'm sure they will be billing it as a crossover/team-up movie, which may make it more appealing to toy companies like Lego. Having a sprawling cast and more locations makes it easier to build sets around it.
  12. Same. Mantis is the bigger draw for me. I wonder what ship designs we'll get. I'm hoping we get an arena set for Ragnarok.
  13. Speaking of, does anyone have any guesses for how they'll do the antenna piece for Mantis?
  14. There was a set photo of a bald person in a yellow outfit similar to the one on the minifig, and news outlets said it was Benedict Wong. So I think that is him.
  15. Obligatory "He's there you just can't see him" joke.
  16. Wow, this might just be my favorite Hawkeye minifig. Probably. On Marvel Toy News, one of the writers said historically, Hawkeye merchandise sells the worst of the movie Avengers. I'm guessing both companies thought he'd be less risky if released alongside Spider-Man.
  17. To reiterate something I posted a while back, Civil War has the biggest number of Marvel superheroes to date, and as a result, every single toy line from every single company making merchandise for the movie is missing someone. It could just be that Lego doesn't consider Vision or Hawkeye big priority characters.
  18. That said, I could maybe see a Daredevil figure as a con exclusive. It wouldn't be as widely available as the Avengers and Spider-Man stuff and by it's very nature would mostly be aimed at collectors. So there'd be less risk of upsetting parents for trying to market a really violent and graphic show to children by giving them a Daredevil minifig.
  19. That's the same reason why I don't think we're gonna be getting a Daredevil set either. The MCU films are generally aimed at an all-ages audience. There's stuff to appeal to all age brackets but they're very careful to make sure it never crosses the line into R rated territory, because children make up a large portion of the audience and merchandise consumer base. The Netflix shows are aimed at a more adult audience and have stuff that would never EVER make it into an MCU movie, so the crossover appeal isn't really there. Of the two of them, I think the Agents of SHIELD would have a better chance at getting a Lego set, but that's only because it's not quite as raunchy or explicit as Daredevil and Jessica Jones.
  20. I wouldn't hold my breath. Has Lego done anything for any of the Marvel or DC live-action shows yet?
  21. These probably are not the first look at the figs. Four of those DLC sets are explicitly comic book based, not related to the upcoming MCU kits. The Doctor Strange one is based on the recent comic book relaunch, the Captain Marvel one is based on the recent comic book run by Kelly Sue Deconnick, the Masters of Evil one is based on the classic comics, and the Black Panther one is based on the "Who is The Black Panther?" relaunch by Reginal Hudlin. The only one that has anything to do with the movieverse is the Agents of SHIELD one. So the Zemo and Doctor Strange ones are based on their comic incarnations, not what they look like in the upcoming movies.
  22. Well Agent 13 actually has action scenes and weapons. Everett Ross is just some government dude.
  23. The directors have already said Red Hulk is not in the movie, so I don't think he'll be included in the Lego line.
  24. To be fair, we've seen very little footage of the movie in general. Black Panther has own shown up for a handful of seconds. But it's probably in the movie. Joblo claimed he has a jet in the movie in the same report where they had a bunch of other leaked info that was later confirmed to be correct (Redwing being a drone, Hawkeye having a new purple costume, Giant-Man appearing).
