Well, they got all the heroes from Civil War involved. It's also possible that they could save some characters who don't show up in the Infinity War sets for Avengers 4. Of the core hero readout we've gotten: Right off the bat I would not be surprised if some of the supporting players on there like Wong and Okoye are left out. I could see Hawkeye not necessarily showing up either. Guesses based on the trailer and or set photos/stuff we've had confirmed so far.

Klaue is probably excluded from the merchandise for the same reason Zemo wasn't merchandised at all with Civil War last year. There's nothing really visually interesting about him, except maybe the gun arm. He's just a dude in a business suit.

There seems to be some confusion. The rumor that Iron Man gets the Thorbuster armor originated from Robert Downey Jr. sharing a picture of a suit of Asgardian Iron Man armor on Facebook. But it was a fanmade suit for a cosplay thing, not anything official.

I wonder if they include Hulkbuster if it will be a new build or just a re-release of the Age of Ultron version.

So per some recent set photos it looks like we'll likely get in one of the Avengers 4 sets.

I think Man-Ape will be in the Battle for Wakanda set.

Interesting we're getting two. Didn't the recent solo movies like Doctor Strange and Ant-Man only have one each?

Killmonger actually looks like the main villain of the movie. I do strongly suspect one of the sets will be that car chase in Korea though, so they might still include him.

The new Iron Man from Infinity War: I wonder how they could do the wings on the minifig. I guess some sort of backpack-like contraption?

Going on the silhouette 35 is definitely Iron Man.

36 is actually probably Falcon. He even has the wings on the back.

The majority of MCU villains are obscure to the main audience prior to the release of the films. Not many people knew who Whiplash, Ronan, Ego or Yellowjacket were either. So I'm gonna guess Ghost will be featured in the sets.

Having seen the show, I can safely say we probably aren't getting a Lego set. Maybe we'll luck out and get them to do comic versions of the Defenders.

I doubt it. Wakanda looks to be playing an important part in the film and "They already had their own movie" has never stopped Lego from putting solo characters in team movie sets before.

Yeah it's like when people were so sure we were gonna get Deadpool or Defenders sets and yet...

I really don't think a Venom set is likely. I get the feeling that the Sony movies will at best be very loosely connected to the MCU and not officially acknowledged in any way.

I think that may be changing. They just did another X-Men themed Marvel Legends wave from Hasbro late last year and just released an Invisible Woman figure with a Human Torch figure coming soon as well. And after being subjected to a ban on X-Men characters previously, the Marvel Future Fight game is finally adding the X-Men. And on the TV front Marvel and Fox are collaborating on Legion, Gifted and the upcoming Deadpool TV show.

To clarify, there's been no actual rumor saying Groot will fight Hulk in the film. It was Vin Diesel saying he wants to see Groot fight Hulk. There's nothing indicating that actually happens. As for Captain Marvel I don't think she's suiting up in this one. She will likely just appear as a soldier or something and then she'll return as Captain Marvel in Part 2 after her solo movie. It's already been confirmed Captain Marvel is going to be an origin story.

He dresses like that in the comics and has a Walkman now.

All the characters are wearing their movie costumes except Ms. Marvel though, and she already got a figure recently, so it's sort of the same issue if we're talking lack of comic based sets/figs. Though the Jane Foster version of Thor is supposed to be joining later in the season, and we haven't gotten her yet in figure form, I don't think.

Now that's definitely not true.

The characters people are supposedly sick of still turn out to be the biggest sellers usually. The "Big 6" are certainly overexposed, but to many people those are the heroes they instantly associate with the name Avengers. Just like you're not gonna see Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman excluded from Lego's sets for the Justice League movie.
