  1. It kind of looks like Spidey has uneven eyes. That would definitely be cool! He looks like the red/blue suit though Looking at it again, I wouldn't count on the colors being overly accurate. If you look at Ned's hands they look like the light flesh color ones instead of the flesh or medium dark flesh color like his head.
  2. I'm not a fan of the show but I'm VERY tempted to get this just for the minifigures and because I LOVE the idea of being able to flip the set over
  3. Personally, I think that using fabric wings on a brick built structure could work for the wings. I'm not as against everyone else is on the wings not being moulded, especially since we'd get more posability that way. Has LEGO done fabric wings in a while though? I can't remember seeing any recently.
  4. 2 of 18! Yeah! Although I did say that I wish they'd do the ducks and that Frozen could be there too... so maybe half credit?
  5. I really love these! I agree that I really wish they had included Lilo and Goofy but other than that I have no big complaints. My favs are: Hercules (more like HUNK-ules) Anna and Elsa (although they look like they have the old dress pieces?) Edna (that new hair tho) Frozone (with his disc!) Hades (I like that they used a new piece for his legs rather than the standard dress piece)
  6. Yes, I did see the head when it was leaked and LOVE it for her! Sorry, I meant to only critique the rest of the minifig but I guess that wasn't clear. I definitely plan on using that head as a basis to make a much better MJ!
  7. I absolutely love these sets! I'm so excited that they put so much effort into making these look amazing! It definitely shows that LEGO feel like Spider-Man is definitely a bigger seller than the Avengers still. Just a few of the things I LOVE about these sets: Moltenman's build is so good looking! I love how that turned out. Does anyone know what piece is used for his head? Is that a new piece? I'M SO HAPPY WE GOT PETER AND MJ. And Peter looks soooooo good with that pulled up mask and suit under his shirt! IMO the ultimate minifig in the wave. We get 4 civilians in 3 superhero sets! That's a superior ratio to anything I was expecting! I personally love that they included a firefighter in the Moltenman set trying to put him out I love all the details coming out of Moltenman. I don't buy the whole "looks like Nexoknights" bit people are saying. He's the build of the wave for me! Everytime I look at it I like it more. Stealth suit Spidey looks great! Really happy to get a new variant of him! I like how sleek the Stark Jet is. And a couple small nitpicks that don't detract from how spectacular these are: Happy does not look like him at all. I'll make a purist custom of him instead. MJ is way too bland. I'm so happy to have a Zendaya looking head, but the hair and toso choices are really dissapointing. Another one I'll feel the need to improve. I wish we had gotten a minifig version of Moltenman inside that giant, sensational build of him. While the plane does look really good, I'm tired of LEGO planes so I just might pass on that one. I wish one of the Mysterios had come without the helmet. Just would have been nice. Finally, I wish we had gotten the Ditko Spidey. If it's the suit for him going forward it won't be a big deal because we'll get it at some point but I was looking forward to it now and I would have needed the plane set if that was in it. I can not wait to get these sets!
  8. As has been discussed before, the euro pricing is more partially because Americans pay sales tax (usually around 6% depending on the state) on top of the prices shown. THat doesn't fully make up for the price difference but it does account for some of it. I imagine there are a number of economic factors that contribute to it being more than a simple conversion.
  9. Nice! I think it's really cool that they've been giving these out for free. I asked about them and they gave me all three polybags without purchasing the game or anything.
  10. So I saw Captain Marvel over the weekend...
  11. A weird thing I just noticed, the two biggest sets have the new teal-ish colored brick seperator while the Hall of Armour set has the old orange one. I wonder if that'll be true for the final product and if there's a reason for it if so?
  12. The compound definitely looks like a city police set mashed with Marvel, but I really don't get how THIS is the worst set ever. A dissapointment? A bit, but we get minifigs that are desirable and a well designed PLAYSET like everyone always wants (myself included) and people throw out a bunch of exagerated complaints about how it looks like a "4+" set. I think in a little while once the dissapointment of it not being exactly what was expected, and that Rescue and Ronin are no where to be found, fades people will view these sets and the compound in particular better. I'm not saying people will love it, but it's better than ta lot of the builds we've gotten in the past (Crossbones jeep, Cap vs the Hydra tank, the AoU Hulk set just to name a few). With the Marvel Superheroes theme, we've always had to take the bad with the good. I can only think of a couple sets that had great minifigs and a great build. Anyway, here's my thoughts on this wave: Compound Set: I really like the main portion of it and the garage isn't too bad, just a little oversized. I'm never a fan of LEGO helicopters but I understand why they included it for playability, and the front of that car is actually really sleak looking. The more I see gold armed Iron Man, the more I like it. I actually love the Hulk with a smile, he's still so threatening with one. I'm not crazy about Thanos but we don't know how accurate it will be to the movie so I won't judge it too harsh yet. Quinjet: While VERY well designed, I'm not a huge fan of the quinjet. I'm just tired of them and they don't fit in the display that I have for Marvel so I may actually skip this one. I am actually fond of the team suits, but I don't feel the need to get them all so not getting this set won't upset me. Hall of Armour: THOSE MINIFIGS ARE SO GREAT. The build is okay, I like the console and the armour station better than the modular section but I like the idea at least. They're also somewhat similar to the Malibu amnsion display if I remember correctly, so that's nice. Igor could definitely be better, especially his head, but the overall shape of him I like. His head is honestly really bad, I may try to figure out a way to use the Iron legion head on him... I definitely would have prefered this set without the Outriders but their inclusion is whatever. Buster: I really like the design, even though (as always) the mech is oversized. The 4.5 on his shoulder really cracks me up for some reason. The new helmet for Ant-Man is sooo good. Again, I kind of like the team suits so War Machine and Ant-Man being in them doesn't bother me. Cap Cycle: LEGO are still struggling to make motorcycles sized properly for minifigs and look interesting AND have play features. If it wasn't suppossed to be for a minifig I wouldn't mind the design too much (it reminds me of his cycle from The First Avenger) but it does look way too big for Cap. I definitely would have prefered to have another Avenger here instead of a third Outrider. Cap's new helmet looks perfect for him and it looks like they printed him shield on a light grey piece instead of a red one this time so I think it'll look a lot better and be the right color on the inside so I really like that. Overall, this wave is a slight dissappointment but I enjoy large parts of it a lot. I think I'll end up getting all the sets except the quinjet (and maybe not the Cap set if I can find him with the shield cheap enough) but I'll probably wait for a sale to get most of it.
  13. I think it would be interesting to break the list down into columns by liscencer. The list would then be "shorter" and easier to see at once, and it would be really interesting to see who, other than Disney, LEGO works with the most. If I had to guess it's be Warner Brothers but it could be a surprise!
  14. No, it was reposted on IG with a picture of the leaked black and white guitar. It was a screenshot of the goat from the ideas page. I think all we've seen from this so far is Mickey. Minnie, the guitar, and the bird
  15. If it's Marvel Legends, they do occasionally put comic figures in with the movie figure waves. They do not usually do that with characters that are actually in the movie though.
  16. Minifig version of Zendaya? YES PLEASE I think they did a really good job with her an Pepper. Hopefully getting her means more civilian characters! I'm curious to see what hair they end up using for MJ. I don't think it really works with any current ones so I hope they make a new mold, even if I know that's probably asking too much
  17. That's exactly what I was thinking. I didn't like the arms either at first, and they could use some printed details, but the more I look at it the worse the legs look to me. I would have prefered un-printed dual molded legs to get more gold than what we got but it is what it is hopefully I'll like it more in person or when official pics come out
  18. The goat on instagram with the guitar is from the Ideas submission https://ideas.lego.com/projects/5b64baab-0c5d-40c5-be8e-32dbf8604733/updates#content_nav_tabs
  19. Along with the Iron Man MK I armor that leaked this morning was a small black and white bird that looks like it could be from the Steamboat Willie set (as that cartoon features a bird who mocks Mickey) I think that would indicate that Minnie is from that set if other pieces have already started to leak. She could still be in the CMF but I think it's more likely she's in that set.
  20. The MK I is absolutely gorgeous. Well worth the wait. I am VERY excited to see the rest of the suits now
  21. Now that we've got an HD picture: I really like Nick Fury, Talos doesn't look all that bad, and I'm pretty fond of the Quinjet. Carol is a bit of a dissapointment because of the hair and lack of boots. I would have prefered dual molded with a little bit of line work, but just dual molding would have made it look way better. Hopefully she'll be in A4 sets with dual molded legs.
  22. I did, but it’s mostly just reorganized so that there’s not two identical sides. I made the top floor of the apartment Peter’s room and the second floor Aunt May’s and I put a seating area in the back of the pizza joint.
  23. Ever since I first saw 76108 at the beginning of the year, I've wanted to make the Sanctum and Peter's apartment two distinct buildings. I picked up my first copy of the set when it released, but didn't want to spend full price on another one when I already had the minifigures. Recently, there was a sale on Amazon and I finally was able to pick up a second one and combine them! It was a fun challenge to make this new set and ten transform it into the back half of the buildings. I was able to finish the build with only the two sets and about two dozen or so pieces I had at my disposal, and there was a lot of trial and error. I hope you all like how it turned out! The only thing I'm not crazy about is the large window in the back of the bottom floor of the Sanctum, but I didn't have to pieces to really do much else. http://imgur.com/d3LMHRa http://imgur.com/euqCv4O http://imgur.com/YevYdqy http://imgur.com/UNjL8Ff http://imgur.com/Zb3u2QZ
  24. Currently available as a free gift with $99 purchases. I added the Winter Fire House to my cart and it came up so it should be on all purchases
  25. I know some of these are far fetched, but I think all of these would work as minifigs in blind bags: Lilo Goofy Sorcerer Mickey Hercules Meg Mary Poppins Miguel Hector Aurora Belle Black suit Donald (DuckTales) Scrooge McDuck (DuckTales) Hiro Yokai Cruella Boo (in the monster suit) Flik Dot Notes: I would love to see a Stitch in his alien form and the red suit now that the four arm mold exists, but I'm not sure they'd do a variant of him. Hector and Miguel would be really cool to see how they realize the skeletal aspects. Flik and Dot (or Princess Atta) could use the same head mold similar to how Mickey/Minnie and Donald/Daisy share head molds. I'd love a sleeping face on Aurora. And Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde both would be great as minifigs but would both need new unique head molds. I would hope they would give Scrooge a new head mold, as I think the Donald/Daisy mold would miss a few key features (the glasses and side tufts). I would LOVE to see Huey, Duey and Louie but I think three spots may be too much for them. I personally don't see them expanding the two minifig selections from last time but hope they give the singles a partner this time around. There were only two minifigs last time that didn't have a pair (Stitch and Maleficent) so I wanted to maintain that put also give them their pairs so I settled on 4 singles. There were around 23 new molds last time (by my count), and assuming that stays constant: Lilo gets a new hairpiece (1), Goofy gets a new head mold (2) and hat (3), Mickey gets a new hat (4), Hercules gets a new hairpiece (5), Meg gets a new hairpiece (6), Miguel gets no new molds, Hector gets a new skeleton leg mold (7) and a hat with hair mold (8), Aurora gets a new hairpiece (9), Belle gets a new hairpiece (10), Donald gets no new molds, Scrooge gets a new head mold (12), a new cane mold (13) and a new hat (14), Hiro gets a new helmet mold (15), Yokai gets no new molds, Cruella gets a new hairpiece (16) and a new dalmation mold (17), Boo gets a new mold for the monster suit as a neck piece (18) and a new hairpiece (19), while Flik and Dot use a new head mold in two different colors (20 and 21). They could save a couple molds combining hats with the head mold on Goofy and Scrooge but I like the idea of them being more versitile. Tangled, Cinderella, Mulan, Pocahontas, Snow White, Brave, and Frozen are all movies I could see them pulling from too, but I didn't want to put too many princesses in since Ariel was the only one last time. There are way too many characters to pick from and so many I'd love to see, put these are my picks for the next series. If they do a D2C of Sleeping Beauty's castle I could see her being in that and Cinderella taking her spot. I hope you enjoyed my overly detailed analysis of what Disney characters LEGO will make next
