LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
RetroInferno replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Looked back at the RO wave sets, that U-Wing is more and more intriguing. The troop cargo bay cannot be seen well on the image, but appears to be HUGE and taking the main bulk of this vehicle. More than enough room to put several standing mini figs ( hopefully the whole main cast ). Weird vehicle some may say, but the thing appears to have a lot going for it.... -
Great model, It's more than a bit smaller than mini fig scale though: the actual thing is at least 50% bigger.

Good to know, those episodes from Clone Wars were great. Intriguing to know in which kind of set we'll get him, probably a location based one. -

Kind in the same boat, though Lego better have a couple surprises for the Death Star to get me interested (an actual exterior would be nice). -
I hope Lego stops producing really weird battlepacks ( Senate Guards, Non canon Phase 2 Geonosis troopers, Death Star gunner BP that includes 2 Imperial guards??? ). Hope we get a decent army builder out there soon ...

Wasnt TFA the most expensive starwars wave ever released too? Damn son! Nearly twice as much as for Rogue One... -

Anyone here ever had the balls of buying an entire pricey wave on day one? If so tell which one and share your experience! ( planning on doing it for RO ) -

Absolutly not, imagine waiting 5 years for something you really want? That's pure torture :O -

I think so, looking back at episode IV the Tie Advanced isn't that big, it's actually pretty small. -

Well, we sort of got Dengar via Freemakers, If that counts! The set pieces looks amazing indeed but I don't really see what they could do here in Lego except release a twin-pod cloud car with 2 pilots and Lando. -

I'd buy that for a dollar! It seriously looks so much better with that color scheme. -
Is it time for Lego to update their blaster rifle models?
RetroInferno replied to RetroInferno's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Fair point with the threat that is the stud shooters: I don't get why they don't make a compromise and include both models: stud shooters are way more expensive to make than regular blasters too. I don't really want them to dissapear because they look decent when a black stock is attached at the rear ( nice grenade launcher style weapon ), but yeah, let's see if they ever dare to make the move. -
Anyone one has info about the CAN pricing on the RO wave? I'm getting anxious :(

Is it time for Lego to update their blaster rifle models?
RetroInferno replied to RetroInferno's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Two different molds for each gun category would be nice: I know we can mod the existing guns with technic pins for some really servicable results but I feel they could elaborate a bit. -
Since the first proper starwars blaster model model came in around circa 2006-7 to replace the inverted mega-phone, the "old gun", the company stuck with the design since then, implementing two other varaint, namely the Rifle and the Pistol. While servicable, and modeled from the popular E-11, I really wish Lego could update their model variety, especially after seeing the modded blasters from the Rogue one wave to mimic the A280 by adding a small light grey tube to the standard gun model. What are you guys thoughts?

Are Lego testing the water for future cloud city set/s?
RetroInferno replied to LOBOT-OMY's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Lego did release a brand new Ugnaught with the carbon freezing chamber, which is the first Bespin set since 2003. They also released a brand new Bespin guard with the Slave 1, which is also coming with the 2016 advent calendar. If Lego ever decides to make a move, now is the time ( Bespin will also be a new map in Battlefront, and Lando a playable hero, make it already Lego!) -

Wink wink much? Hahahaha. Awesome find, it's part of some of the redeeming scenes of EP II too and has incredibly only made once! -

Just throwing it out of the wild, is anyone wholly disatisfied with this year's summer sets? I may be completly off the mark here, but including Assault on hoth, this may be lego's most niche array of sets released in a couple of year... ( freemakers, rebels, episode III, and meh Episode VII set. ) Anyone one else out there? -

Mmhh, seems a tad bit short, and the interior size doesnt appear to hold much either isn't?.... And that ashoka is gonna sell around 40$ on bricklink that's for sure ...I'll save my money on rogue 1 thank you very much :) -

110 USD? If it's decently sized it may be excusable. On a side note Freemakers arent over priced but that star scavenger ought to be Lego's ugliest ship in years, and it's play features are horrendous. -

Ehhh unless there is a clear information about the number of death troopers in the Imperial shuttle, it's absolutly possible 2 are included. -
As a pretty big X-Wing fan, I did not get any of these 2 sets, nor do I have the intention to. They don't really look like the new movie models, especially with the shape of the cockpit and the foward hull. Between the two I would go with probably the resistance one, more generic color scheme, mini fig wise it's more specialised with Lor San Teka.

Review REVIEW: 75093 Death Star Final Duel
RetroInferno replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I had doubts too, and yeah, from the side it looks a bit awkawrd because of the upper angle, it is however a massive improvement over the last design in most areas, especially on the front, and I'm really glad Lego shifted for this one. -

Simply type Rogue One Lego on google images, they are still there not too far down.
