  1. The "official" release may be september 30th but a LOT of physical stores are going to have this available by mid september. They really are pushing the embargo this time around. Poor reviewers :(
  2. The starwars summer wave is indeed insanely overpriced, although the RO sets seem reasonnably priced except for the Striker. Just take a look at the Rebel frigate, looks like crap, 110$ with 936 pieces. ( even worse in CAN, 150$ ) Krennic's shuttle is 90$ with 863 pieces and has better figs ( I seriously hope that it won't exceed 120 CAN ). The summer wave is soo piss poor, it has to show in their sales and they seem to take a small path towards reducing the prices.
  3. They must be worth a freacking ton of $$$. Never ever saw this on sale or anywhere else for that matter!
  4. Quite the expensive haul indeed, impressive nontheless... Also I ordered: 2x Bith musicians 4x 2013 Clone troopers 1x Yee Rees 1x Lando Skiff guard 1x X-wing pilot ( micro fighter ) is he a named character? 2x Death star gunner Thinking really hard about a Dark Forces moc but Grans are so expensive!
  5. This also means no VIP pre sale for the RO wave... Hopefully we'll get a Starwars themed offer in october.
  6. I like the story of how the Emperor's reign came to be, creating a "fake" conflict to attain greater power, it's a great concept. What I dislike most about the PT is the dialogue, the over abundant CGI and lazy directing. Phantom would have been good if anakin would have been able to pull an act together and be more of a side character and removing Jar Jar completly. Attack of the clones.... Could be okay if the dialogue wasn't absolute garbage. Revenge had some nice moments, every scene with Palpatine was good and order 66 scenes were well executed. They are decent but flawed products IMO.
  7. Brickdoctor is right here, remember in Clone Wars when Ahsoka was charged of treason and how everyone in the council did not give a crap? Only Anakin managed to find the culprit at the last moment, and the council tried to BS their way with Ahsoka by saying this was her trial and that they would promote her to knight? Thankfully that made her quit before order 66. The Jedi order was blind, stern and arrogant, and was extenfully showcased by how they treated the people they judged inferior save for a few jedis.
  8. What bother me most about the latest rendition of the Imperial Navy troopers is that the mini-fig's face lacks a chin strap, they included a micro instead. The one included in the advent calendar also includes a micro, so I guess I'll bricklink those AT-ST pilots faces once the set is released.
  9. I also really like the spare use of the sand blue on the Striker and the AT ST, it really gives them a nice sort of sheen between the light and dark bley. I get that taste are personnal but we actually get new designs for once, something TFA depressingly lacked of ( except for the exceptionnally accurate Kylo Ren's shuttle and the memorable snowspeeder). Also a quick question, it does look like the hover tank can't fit a mini fig through the top hatch does it? That's a bummer...
  10. Sir Von Lego has already confirmed that OT stormies are included in the battlepack next year. I like for one the tube shape of the cockpit, it gives it a different look and could very well serve as the ship's shield generator and ammo stocks, maybe even a place for another mini fig.
  11. I think we are being a bit harsh on the Striker, both images on the box don't really make justice to the lenght of the wings that would give it an edgier look.
  12. Wow, thanks! This sets asides a lot of concerns: 1: The Tie Striker's wings can be positioned down and up. 2: The U-Wing's wings can be retracted backward for the attack position, giving it a V shape. 3: Krennic's shuttle is really damn good, AND we get 2 Deathtroopers with pauldrons. 4: The AT-ST looks really good too, nicely detailed. On the meh side, that imperial hover tank looks very underwhelming... Overall very satisfied with these, this is MUCH better in my opinion than the TFA wave, except for the falcon.
  13. 2012 to 2014 I must say; Monster Fighters, Starwars, LOTR, Ghostbusters.
  14. I can't see 2 deathtroopers in a BP happening though sadly, maybe a shoretrooper as the fourth one... I would't complain at all about this though, this sounds like the best BP we've had for a long time.
  15. Ric Olié from TPM needs to happen too, he's too famous ( for all the wrong reasons obviously ). They could use peter venkman's hair piece, rework the naboo starfighter pilot torso and some cape piecs for the front and back.
  16. You can even switch the security guard's face for the officer's one and make yourself a cheap but really effective Captain Pancake XD.
  17. The calendar is showcased on HothBricks if anyone was looking for it. Damn, so much info over the last few days :S
  18. If that's the case the 2014 Storm Trooper was short lived, although it seems logical they put it a final time in the advent calendar to purge their stocks ( they only appeared in 4 sets counting the 2016 advent calendar, only the SD came with more than one trooper ). If they can improve on them why not, I don't think they will be drastically different.
  19. Considering that the only mini build that makes sense for the droid is the Tantive IV I would go with U-3PO. Damn lil spy...
  20. I feel so bad on missing on Monster Fighters.... Yeah it would be nice seeing those guys one day on some form. Adventurers can go many way, I think people would go crazy for a lost japanese island or something of the likes. Lego definitly has a ton of material can go back to, reboot or get inspiration from.
  21. Bespin guards use the sleek silver looking type of blaster pistol. The mini fig selection is really nice, but why no chin guard for the navy trooper? It's a small detail but it annoys me since the 2014 SD. Also, no skirt seems to be included for the Snowtrooper.
  22. Is it bad I want to buy everything on this winter wave? And at least 5 Imperial battlepack? :( I also think that we are more likely going to see an a-wing instead of a b-wing for 75179.
  23. Those 4 micro fighters looks very promising too: 2 Rebel pilots ( 1 assume is from Rebels ), a Tie pilot and an Imperial officer :D ( probably both related to RO, maybe a micro tie striker and empire shuttle )
  24. Obi-Wan, Qui Gon and Darth Maul all together is really great. Wanted updated versions of them and considered bricklinking but Qui-Gon and Maul are way too expensive. The Skiff has a really meh selection of figs though, unless Boba Fett gets an updated jetpack and Chewie a new printed face, Weequay is always nice to get, Blind Han is the worst SW mini-fig ever.
  25. OMG, this is too good to be true. Finally confirmed that Death Troopers and regular stormies are included in a battlepack! Another Skiff is great news too. I CANT EVEN right now.
