  1. Shame on me, you are correct I didn't realize that until now... Thank you very much! @kieran Thank you :)
  2. Since it is my first Doctor Who themed MOC, I don't have anything to connect it to ...yet. :)
  3. ...secretely being watched by the Doctor and Clara Oswald The Doctor enjoying his private collection by Marc S., auf Flickr We have the opportunity to see the 12th Doctor enjoying his private collection of defeated adversaries and menaces onboard the Tardis in one of his scarce moments of peace. He hasn't realized, that he is secretly being watched by the 11th Doctor and Clara Oswald. Or has he? :) This MOC is my contribution to the BB2020@home building competition by Bricking Bavaria. #BB2020 #BrickingBavaria
  4. Since my order status changed from "Out of Stock" to "In Stock" over night, ist might be faster for you, too. Fingers crossed! @TheRackerWhat is the source of this statement?
  5. If it sells continously well, why shouldn't they keep making it? Just look at the VW T1, the Tower Bridge and other sets, which are or have been available for years.
  6. Great model and I am just in awe, especially regarding the short timeframe it took to this point! :)
  7. Works just fine. The Problem could be Error 60 ;)
  8. It is a very nice idea to add some sports to the Modular theme. But to be honest, for me it is far to colorful on the outside. I would prefer a somewhat more decent color scheme. If you look at the scene you have created, the Pet Shop is almost not there. You see only bright yellow and red...
  9. Well, I can see the effort, but the result doesn't match a DeLorean at all. None of the lines is where it is supposed to be, the wheels are just too big and at the rear they stand out like they don't even belong to the car. Sorry, but I don't dig it at all.
  10. Lovely build and I like the colors very much. They work very well together. But I would like to point out, that you build your cathedral in Roman style. Gothic style uses pointed arches, your build has them all round. But nevertheless: great work! :)
  11. Looking good. I am totally in for builds like that.
  12. That might be the reason, why there are no IR Receivers in the shop at the moment.
  13. Just go for it! :) Your goal looks a bit challenging, but it is doable. :)
  14. I bought a 8264 Hauler, a 8292 Cherry Picker and two smaller sets for just 36€. :)
  15. Ah, now I get it, why the Mast has this distinctive shape. I always thought it to be halfway on the mountain, but now I see it being really next to the mountain station. Which totally makes more sense. :) Great setup and I am quite sad, that I won't be able to come to St. Augustin.
  16. Great Progress from where you started. I like the result very much. :)
  17. I really like the front of this model. Powerful and very appealing to me. Like to build something like that myself, someday... The one thing that could be better, but probably not without some extra parts, is the sideline. Since the sideline, as a sign of power and sportiness, is often rising from the front to the back of a car, this one is horizontal at best. To me it even looks as if it is dropping and thats not so sporty at all.
  18. Well, I was curious and had a look at ebay Australia and your equivalent of ebay classifieds, gumtree.com.au. I am completely stunned seeing those prices and how few ads from Australia there actually are. Most items on ebay came from europe and since you get only 67c per Dollar, its not that surprising, all these sets are incredibly expensive to buy. And I haven't counted in postage and possible customs fees. Mate, it looks like you have chosen a very exclusive hobby. :) But don't let that stop you, since it is only a little more effort that is neccessary to get some good deals and bargains.
  19. See, if you can get one/some 8285 Truck(s). This thing is huge, has a part count of over 1800 and is not that expensive. I bought two sets for 60€ and 70€ and got loads of black and red liftarms, gears, pin connectors and so on. And if you can get it at a good price, dont hesitate to buy a 8275 Bulldozer. Many yellow parts and a good load of Power Functions.
  20. 9396 for 42€ with BI without Box 42039 BNISB for 60€
  21. Well, 8043 is a set you only should buy, if you want to make it better like the Ultimate Version from Jurgen Krooshoop. Otherwise forget about it, since it is way to expensive for what you get. I got lucky and could get it very cheap, so it didn't bother me that much, that the design Lego had chosen for this set, doesn't work very well. 8258 is also way too expensive, but can be considered a nice model with good complexity. 42008 is the best buy out of that short list and I like the looks as well. Must be the dark green. Regarding complexity and used techniques you should check out 42009, 42043 and 9398 as well. But you learn the most, building things you like and finding the right solution for the problems you encounter in the process.
  22. Well, the looks are somewhat poor. That seems to be the bit the vast majority can agree on. But it got my attention, especially the interestingly integrated Wheelie feature. So, despite the fact, that I bought it for the parts, I took Lego's concept for the PF model and took it a bit further. I wanted it to do a Wheelie on its own. Since that was not achievable with the suggested M-motor, I went for the XL. That does not only perform better, it is also heavier and weight, respective the weight distribution, is everything to achieve this goal. :) My first attempt was with a 1:1 gear ratio as shown in the building instructions: Well yes, it did some kind of Wheelie, but that was not sufficient. :D So I changed the setup to a gear ratio of 1.8:1: It worked. Somehow... :) If you look closely, there is an L-motor on top of the battery box only for its weight. So instead of adding a stand like Lego did, I chose to let physics work its charm. :) The added rtc-steering works, but I could have saved me the effort, since there is hardly any weight on the front axle. The result of steering can be seen in the middle of the first video.
  23. Looks promising and it is the only way I can think of to legitimately get two more wheels for the/a B-Model onboard. :)
