Yes, there probaply wouldn't be any rowers... except if it would be like the Viking ship. Ballistae is the plural of ballista, as these are Latin words. Ballista itself at the Roman time means any sort of projectile throwing machine, as these could be horse catapults, the scorpio types, the machines we call ballistas today and "normal" catapults. TT

Well, a "ballista" was a catapult, not the medieval ballista. Inspired by the work of Tinypiesrus, I will make a mafia game in my favorite time, the Roman time. Rules are still being worked out a bit, but I need volunteers for this game. You will recieve a PM when the game will begin and recieve your role. The game starts at daylight, and at night nightactions can be used. The players will be able to vote once a day. Unvoting will also be possible. The person who gets the number of votes equal to the half of the number of players + 1 will appear at the court. Yet, death isn't sure then, as a number of factors might bring the person back into the game... Use your abilities wisely. There are 2 groups: the soldiers and the plebs. The backstory: --- Roman mafia game: 1st century AD After the death of the twisted emperor Nero, all of Rome is in revolt. The plebs of the different hills are trying to fight for controll of land, the governement desperately tries to remain order. A banned general who lead the attack on the city of Jerusalem has become the new emperor and wants to get rid of the problems in the city. First of all, thank you very much Hinckley for voting on my licensed entry. I'm very honored :'-) city and space KhoRne's hobo. No big pieces, no really wacky parts, a nice little scene, some accesoires and a hobo of course. A great idea for any city, although LEGO probaply won't release it, I love the idea. history and adventure, pirates, etc. Iamded's skellie with accesoires. I would have chosen other entries, but this is the one closest to the Impulse spirit, a campfire, some food, etc. wich are all on their on bases and don't use a big baseplate. Congrats for keeping the Impulse spirit alive. licensed Graynar's "guard". My favourite, as I'm trying to build myself a massive "notzi" army, this would come in very handy. I'd like to thank all of you who voted for me, the other entries and of course all the persons who posted entries. You really have shown what the Impulse line could become. With some luck, LEGO will use this idea to make Impulse sets more wider, and use them from old, new or non-existing themes even. TT BTW: Sinner, could it be possible to frontpage this voting thread, because it's part of many forums?

Hey all, one of my entries for the Impulse contest here on Eurobricks: (sorry for the bad photoshopping) Prince Zuko has a secret... a secret identity that is! He sometims wears a special mask and then goes by the name "the Blue Spirit", wich is an enemy of the Fire nation. He is a great swordsman, using double swords, but will his identity remain anonymous? Comments are very welcome. TT
