  1. I don't really want to buy two, because I'm not interested in the spinner itself, just the figure and the weapons. I may get it, because Nya only appears in one of the larger sets. Plus it cones with some pearl gold parts and black lightsabre hilts.
  2. Oh dear, you're right! That makes the hairpiece far less usable in MOC's, so I don't care for it much anymore. This series, IMO, is by far the worst. My favourite things in minifigures are the female hairpieces. In this series, 2 of the hairpieces are in old colours, and one has printing so it can't be used for much else. There's a lot of great new parts in this series, but all the others had lots more parts that interest me. I'm just hoping that they make a few changes(e.g. Change the fitness dancer and the zookeeper's hair colours) before they release these.
  3. I've never used the dot codes, because as soon as S3 were out, there was reports of inconsistency in the patterns. My Argos has the names on the back, but if I encounter a box without names, I just go by feel. Unfortunately I was unaware of barcodes when S1 and S2 were out, but I still managed to get most of he figs I wanted by using the feel method.
  4. Is there going to be a second wave in 2012, or is this theme done with? I'm really hopeful for another wave, but I think it's strange that there was no sets in Summer 2011. If Pharaoh's Quest is indeed finished, I hope that they make either an Oriental or Jungle adventurers theme. I've noticed that this is my 100th post! I'm a Knight!
  5. Some of these are hilarious ! I especially like the one about Chinese remakes. I'd make my own, but they'd never live up to everyone else's. Well done everyone, keep them coming!
  6. I really like how it's turning out, Antonio! I like how there's so many windows, just like there is on real shops. The displays inside are very nice, and I like the lamp outside. Well done, I look forward to seeing it finished!
  7. I would love an Avatar theme! The minifigures would be absolutely fantastic, and all the greenery and plantlife would be brilliant. It would also attract people who are interested in military and mecha, seeing as it has the army with all their robots and such. If there's a second film, I think there's a chance of us getting an Avatar theme. My brother who's 6 and my sister who's 8 both loved it, so I know it's something both kids and adults are interested in. I would also love a Doctor Who theme. Think of all the brilliant alien minifigures, the buildings, the spaceships, the robots and hopefully all those beautiful female assistant minifigures! I'm not a big fan of the series myself, but I've seen a few episodes and I'm sure if it was made into LEGO I'd be buying a lot of the sets.
  8. I actually think someone's already done that. I can't remember who or where, but it was really good. I think that Elizabeth Swann's house would be a good MOC. you could have it on a big hill, and you could include her bedroom, the room she locks herself in, the hall with the staircase and various other rooms. Another idea would be the wedding of Elizabeth and Will. You could have the little arch, and then a giant cliff with raging waves at the bottom.
  9. Nice vignettes, Walter! I love the water on the first one, and the building on the second is brilliant. The way you made the dog hold the key on the third one is very clever. Well done, and welcome to Eurobricks!
  10. I love this so much! The architecture is brilliant, and it's even more amazing that you've kitted it out with a fully detailed interior. I especially love the cafeteria and the MRI room. Well done!
  11. Great work, Davor! I really love the buildings and the canopies. Well done, I really look forward to seeing it finished!
  12. I really like the modifications you've made to the pizza shop! The beach is also great, and I like the park. Well done, I look forward to seeing the next update!
  13. I hate MegaBloks figures! They have big, chunky bodies, but they have tiny heads. And they are over-detailed, with their moulded heads and such. Anyway, I don't care about these new figures. As others have already said, MB have been copying LEGO for ages, and it's never had any effect on TLG. So why should these be any different?
  14. Very nice and realistic looking car you've built, 74louloute! It looks like the real thing, but it's also just as I imagine LEGO would make it. Well done!
  15. Excellent MOC, Peppermint_M! I was a bit confused as to where each area was, but I suppose that makes it more like a puzzle. I like the details, especially the treasure room. Well done, I always love to see Adventurer MOC's!
  16. I really like the lighting, and your train station is excellent. However, it seems a little empty. I think you should put more things around the track. Anyway, well done, and thanks for sharing!
  17. Just out of curiosity, where is it you get these sets from? I know they're not yours, but do you know what country they're from, or how the person that let you borrow the sets got them?
  18. I think that she is crying. I've read things about the plot, and it says they need a mermaid's tear. I'm glad to get a crying female face - I'm sure it'll come in handy. I've been watching trailers for the new film, and the Syrena figure is absolutely spot on! It looks just like the actress.
  19. Nice . I like the snow and the Torii gate. Well done!
  20. Oh, sorry . I just thought because it was VerSen that had done the other reviews, that it was her doing the Captain's Cabin review too. Well thanks for writing it, and I look forward to reading it when it's translated.
  21. Yes, I believe she does have more. I think that VerSen has all the sets except London Escape and Queen Anne's Revenge (there was a picture over in the PotC Discussion Thread of all the boxes). She has done reviews of Isla de la Muerta, Captain's Cabin and Cannibal Island, but they are in Russian. There's links to them all in the PotC Discussion thread.
  22. I think it's a new piece. Thanks for the link, Vagrant! It seems like a great parts pack, seeing as it has bones, bottles, compasses, the map, the long black hairpiece and some pearl gold parts. I might get this if I can find the cash, but I'm trying to get Isla de la Muerta as well. Why must these amazing sets be so damn expensive!
  23. Great work, Follows Closely! I love the colours you've used. The style of the building is really nice, I like how tall and thin it is. An interior would be nice, but it's good enough as it is. Well done!
  24. I agree! I don't care about military sets, as they wouldn't have any parts or figures that interest me. Alien Conquest on the other hand has excellent figures, loads of new or recoloured parts, and lots of play features.
  25. Thanks for the news, SilentMode. But it's times like this that I really, really wish I had a LEGO store near me...
