Checked the price of Duracell AAA Rechargeable today and it wasn't pleasing $20 for charger $15 for set of 4 AAA Rechargeable Batteries You need 9 to run the trains so that is $65 total For $10 more I can just buy the official rechargeable battery box from LEGO for $50 and the wall charger for $25 Worth the initial investment looks like.

Whoa the lights just made it even better, I like how they incorporated it into the design sneakily and sell the lighting separately Otherwise if it had not been for this topic and comment I would not have figured it out I suspect the same will prove true for the passenger train.

Thanks for the new pics Is it just me or do I find this advent calender particularly weak, when compared to past ones? There are save for 1 or 2 interesting bits, the rest are pretty much common. Majority being toys. Also there are not as many figs included, as an excuse because this is a family scene. No civilian or casual city bits Definitely a step toward more holiday oriented models included. Pass on this one. EDIT: Agrees with Alex, back to 8404 discussion

For example when I made a topic about rare parts, I knew there was probably one already in existence but did not know where to start and having tried several common "search" terms, I just made a new topic and let a mod (Shadows) do the work and find the correct original topic to merge with

Thanks Holodoc for this brilliant review This is my favorite cargo train set to date It has an amazing engine that I really like the design on. I also like all your comparison pictures, that is good stuff. The new PF I like and are nice, all I will need is the rechargeable battery box and wall charger though The octan tanker is my favorite of the trailers. The other two are nice. As for the crane, it is also very nice. The red truck does look strange but I don't completely outright dislike it I will buy this set for sure Rated "Outstanding"

Amazing Review Clone O'Patra :thumbup: Excellent coverage and photography I thought all the ninjas are bad guys, but you said the black one and bandit are the only ones. What about the Grey? And if they are good why did they betray their fellow ninjas and work with the samurai I simply love all the ninja sets, they were all so good I really hope LEGO decides to make them again. They would be highly popular.

Great review and the first of the 4 train sets here I like this little station, very functional and modern. Another set of tracks added on the other side would be perfect, as it is, it looks a little awkward. Nice feature is soda rack in the train station. Average figure selection. The taxi actually hold 2 people, good job LEGO I rated it "Above Average" or a "4"

How could I miss this? 7 pages later... I am slightly disappointed however. It is not the Airport shuttle Monorail remake that i hoped for but it is still nice Good things: Tourist or long distance travel bus Very nicely designed and I love the lime green/white color scheme. GREEN bike, *passes out* and I had hoped for a new color bike too in my last comment, boy I am good Sweet yellow sports car!! That is awesome and just what I had also wanted, I didn't want to say sports car again because we had gotten the red one already and did not want to have bricks thrown at me :Looks like a really nice design. and also 6 wide!!! The other red sports car was 4 wide, blah Cleaner truck is very nice addition, although I wanted a delivery truck this is equally as great. Best for last, Tourist t Gift shop :wub: Simple design but awesome! Ok things: Tram, not what I was expecting, bit short they could have extended a little. middle section is just ridiculous No track included I have no idea how I would incorporate the tram in my city Price? Green recycle bins everywhere. Things that could have been better Bus stop, pretty weak but functional Tram stop, same thing figs, only one new torso? Overall I give it the above average rating I will probably get this because it is still awesome. and thanks for pics

I am not surprised that the most common figs would be the ninja, test track dummy and diver would be the most common But your data analysis was quite nice Sure would be helpful if these were actually random, but I will probably use the bar codes to get the few I like from this series and the next. Btw I think the US Release date is August 1st? But I am not sure.

Wait so no Monorail? Damn Oh well a Tram is just as cool. The tram will probably blue like it appears in the concept art and also as mentioned because the red passenger train is well red And the tram in the art was very sweet and nicely designed. As I read there are 2 Exclusive sets according to Legomilk? Truck stop as well as the Transport Center??? I am happy to get another bus providing however that is a different color or different style than the City Corner Bus. A two segment long hybrid bus would be nice Car and Bike are great, hoping for a new rare color bike reproduction As for car, something different. And hopefully the truck is an delivery truck or something similar. Great stuff and thanks for the news

Thanks for that great picture of the city house Yes the solar panels are amazing It is a rare case of something does not need to be place there to be nice. The house would have been fine without the solar panels but the inclusion of them is nice. They also could have uses for other themes like Space as well. However they are probably just stickers And another good thing is the figure of the left side of the box has the hoodie torso that the figure from the small car does. Now I don't need to buy that small car just to get the torso, it comes with this set Also nice is that we get a semi large base plate included for the first time in a set for awhile.

Thanks for a great review Kimt I like the new "Kingdoms" sets, they are quite nice. The flagship castle reminds me of ones from days past. This set like you said is an army builder much like the Pirate Cannon Battle set. But instead of a cannon you get a horse. As for the crap part, the pirate one had a rock wall and this one a prison cart. But at least the cart is somewhat functional Now the real nice part are the 3 figures. The new helmet is amazing! And I like how we get a black sword again finally, but it is not a true black sword

That is great if you live in Europe However I think that the same will be true for USA, different bar codes but different numbers from Europe.
