My last LEGO purchase for a long time Home One 8017 Vader's TIE Advanced Chrome Stormtrooper Promo Polybag
-
Thank you and I did, because my first choice was the Home One playset. I picked it in the end for the following reasons: Price: I paid $69.99 which is $39.99 lower than what TLG was selling them for! And here where I live TRU sold them for $134.99 so that is $64.99 cheaper! Anytime you can get a set lower than TLG was selling them for that is great deal. (w/o shipping because that is different) Availability: It was a TRU Exclusive and it is discontinued, while the Endor Base is still for sale. Figs/Parts: An awesome selection of exclusive figs although TLG shouldn't have put ackbar in a magnet set and as Roncanator mentioned TLG won't probably make them again. A-wing: I was in love with the A-wing the first time I saw it The Dark GREEN and Rebel insignias and overall design are awesome. 10th Anniversary: I have been buying SW LEGO since they came out and the throwback box art and everything is great. Possible Surprise: Being as I bought a MISB copy there is a chance I can find a chrome vader in it I am very happy with my choice.

Never say die, its all about enjoying it

Hey guys, thanks for the great replies, yeah I ruled out the AT-AT but now I am stuck on either the Home One or Endor. I will sleep on it As for your question, I bought both the Chrome Vader and White Boba. I paid $20 for the Chrome Vader on Bricklink and $25 for the White Boba on Ebay. So if it were for pricing for me I would have picked the Chrome Vader because he was $5 cheaper. $35 is now around the cheapest you can get a Chrome Vader for on Bricklink. White Boba is also now in the $30 range, however if you want I can PM you the ebay seller link for the white Boba for $25 (Free shipping too!) he has at least 15 left last time I checked. Now onto the figs themselves Chrome Vader: The Chrome Vader I just got yesterday and I will not lie, it is a extremely beautiful figure. The black chroming looks a lot better in person. I wasn't expecting that! It glimmers and is 100% awesome. He comes in a polybag for the 10th Anniversary of SW LEGO being in production, which is sweet & by now I would say classic and nostalgic. Vader also has his lightsaber which is a nice touch. Also chrome parts are getting rare nowadays, LEGO doesn't put them in sets too much anymore (not sure why, maybe it is too expensive) so let alone a chrome black vader is something very special. White Boba: A concept Boba as a minifig is really cool too. Alot of people like Boba Fett and any chance to get a prelim or idea in a fig form is a truly special opportunity. Especially for the ESB 30th anniversary. He has a blaster which is nice but common. His color is white which isn't too exciting but still very cool. Comparing them: Lets start with the Polybags they come in. - For me I prefer the 10th Anniversary of SW LEGO over the ESB 30th polybag. - Now for the accessories, Boba has a single part blaster while Vader has a two part lightsaber. 2:1 ratio if by parts so that is a obvious win and I like lightsabers better. - Boba fett has his helmet while vader has both his helmet and a cape which nice. - Fig appearance, the vader in chrome black hands down beats a plain white boba fett - Iconic value sure Boba Fett is popular but Darth Vader could be said is the most Iconic Star Wars character ever. - Rarity the Darth Vader being 1 year older than the white boba is now more rare. Final Choice: For me if I had to pick, I would go with the Chrome Vader. EDIT: Morning Edit for better reading

I normally can decide but I am stuck on this one Endor $100 Home One $85 (shipped price) AT-AT $80 (TRU sale) Leaning toward the Home One since it was $110 when it was released and is already 2 years old and I can get the AT-AT later in the year. But Endor is nice too

Great review just got mine today. I was able to get a really good deal for one on Bricklink thanks to a good friend It is beautiful I must say Paid $20 USD

Hello again Yes that explains the overuse and overkill of flick n fire missiles, but if they do all the sets we dream of and put them on for the kids, I wouldn't mind About the Yavin Base, yeah it was pretty rough conception, I don't like the midi-scale X-wing, potentially they could do a new redesigned system scale one (again) Like the Slave 1, MF and Snowspeeder why not? I think with some tweaks and some trees and some nice figs it would be very nice. New ideas: Black Jetpack for our Shadow Stormies Droid Control Ship "Playset": $50 Obi Wan and Qui Gon have just left the Republic Cruiser they came on and get attacked! Includes, landing/cargo bay area, some other rooms, all connects in a modular manner. Cargo crates and other misc accessories. Figs include, new TC-14, Obi Wan and Qui Gon either with hoods or not but I like them in hoods and cape. , a decent amount of battle droid 2-4, droideka, and maybe a security droid.

Tough call here is my short list Cloud City Boba Fett Cloud City Lando Chrome Darth Vader Chrome Gold C-3P0 Spartan Indiana Jones Pirate -
+1 I picked the Slave 1 up myself If I had known I would have gotten from Amazon, I had to pay $13 shipping so $70 total, always check everywhere before buying!

Yes I would have preferred a scaled Home One like an SD or Venator over the A-wing Playset. I guess that leaves us a chance for another set, but I like it when exclusive figs are only in one set

Updated today, sell me your Cloud City -
Hello, I really like your idea of a Cloud City modeled after the death star! I think some changes would be nice and needed so it doesn't look like a Death Star with Cloud City sites. And all of the exclusive figs to go with it. Star Wars Playsets are tough, the best ones I have seen would be the Endor Bunker, that actually works quite well, Death Star of course, and maybe the Hoth Rebel Base, sure it is just the front entrance but it is rather nice. Mos Eiesly Cantina, Cloud City and Home one, just didn't sit well with me. One of the best playsets could have been the concept Yavin Base from the visual dictionary. It looked nice as well a great playset. Another one that would work well is a Jedi Temple.

I would like to see this Return to Cloud City: $100-$200 Parts: 800-1000+ Basically imagine the first Cloud City set 10123, a remake of it basically a highly desired rehash. Playset with features the same as the first maybe expanded upon though, a twin pod cloud car redesign, also the room where C3P0 is in parts. Minifigs include Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, Bespin Guard, Lobot maybe. Lando updated, Han, Han in Carbon,Chewbacca, c3p0, R2-D2 Cloud City Leia updated, cloud city luke updated, new boba fett but with printed arms and legs again and maybe IG-88 or another fig. That is about 10-14 figs, pretty fair I would say. Yeah pretty much the same but I can't think of anything else, I would love that as it is , suggestions, comments? Or TLG could break it up in multiple sets like with the Hoth themed sets. But I would prefer one big large set/exclusive.

Ha, yes but the text to go with it That is a really good mod, thanks.

Thought I would chime in, I have been taking a hiatus in this forum since CW sets came out I am sorry but I will never accept them! Three new moderators only one I have ever heard of Now to the only good set the new Millennium Falcon I love it! I love rehashed sets especially ones that I never had a chance to get! This will be my first MF and is a badly needed update of perhaps the most iconic SW ship. Sure we had the UCS and a Midi scale but those are irrelevant. This is the first SYSTEM scale since 2004. I read the gripes on flickr (Brickset Toy fair one) and sometimes they are funny and some are really annoying . The bottom is as mentioned unfinished But nothing you can't fix yourself, the beauty of LEGO. One of the more constructive gallery comments was that just like the MF from the movie it is up to you to mod it just like Han and Chewie. The mandibles are also a bit short. However I love the secret smuggling compartments The sleeping area is a very nice touch as is the little control room. However I don't like the hyper drive engine the one from 2004 being much superior. The cockpit I was disappointed because again only 1 fig is meant to sit, now I am not asking for all 4 but at least 2 would be nice. It looks like a plate or so could make it able to sit two. Mod there. Onto the minifig selection, Death Star escape cast obviously and I don't mind but they could have done a cloud city or DS2 version. The new Leia is meh. Same goes for Luke, I will have to try the surfers hair as I think that should be the most accurate. Nice to have Han, Obi and Vader, but no R2 or C3P0?? The price is extremely overpriced by about $40 with the recent trend with SW though not surprising. TRU Sale anyone? They should have at least gave us R2 and C3P0 plus a little duel/cargo area for Vader and Obi. I know it would be filler stuff but hey watch it I like the little filler stuff Must squeeze as much bricks out of Lucas as I can Overall though I am excited for it and will give me an opportunity to purchase my first MF. Black Friday half off maybe like the 2004 one? The new rumored Echo Base set I will wait for pictures what will it be though possible? Hopefully not a remake of the 2007 base (which I got as a gift and would not have paid $60 for.) And no it better not have a K3P0 Off Target but later in the year please let there be a new cloud city playset with loads of exclusive figs like a new Lando, new boba but in cloud city printed gear

I have gone mad TRU Sale Slave 1 Bricklinked - Hoth Luke - Chrome Vader

Well deciding not to wait any longer I got the X-Wing from 2006. I am happy TLG has given it a 5 year + production cycle
