Except for when they did the SW minifig 3 packs way back, which I did get Maybe a Ceremonial Han? Or even better chrome TC-14 or R2. -
Congrats to the winners! And thanks for a cool raffle! My bricks are packed up so I didn't get to enter But however like you said possible future similar events I see
-
Very cool at first I thought it was another one of these but then read on. I would say this is average, I greatly prefer the Costa Mesa one The price is astronomical now considering just last week they were listed for $100-200. I wish my LEGO store got something like those, all we got when they had the grand opening was a brickbuilt fish.

Thanks for a great review! This set is amazing, Well worth the price and you get alot for your money not too mention who doesn't love maersk blue?

So the new SW Minifig Guide comes with another exclusive fig? I wonder what it could be? -
Thanks! I would have preferred to find one or get one in person myself. Yeah I have got my moneys worth definitely.

Um the ARC-170 is now in the Episodes I-VI category on LSAH. I just hope we get back to EP2 and EP3 sets. -
Thanks for mentioning that, the original only included Anakin, while the 07 and this one feature the option to have either a Naboo Pilot or Anakin fly it, which is a really good improvement. I missed out on the 07 one so this one with a new naboo pilot, security droids and albeit a large droideka is good enough for me. Also that is a cool mod, I like seeing those type of things. +1 LEGO is LEGO afterall
-
I don't have either of those sets but if I had to pick one I would pick the Maersk. I plan to buy that and the yellow cargo train and then convert the Tram from Public City Transport as my passenger train.
-
Hmmm I like that idea, $75-100 Includes Naboo Starfighter with chrome or metallic or pearl or silver instead of bley, 1-2 vulture droids, hanger area, cargo items, 1-2 naboo pilots in cuffs, Anakin, R2, Obi Wan, Qui Gon, Padme, Naboo security guard, 2-4 battle droids (security) , droideka. Very similar to the Home One set. Thanks that is a much clearer picture Dammit TLG got it wrong I thought it was based on the scene where they rescue the Naboo Pilots hence the handcuffs and not the scene where Anakin destroys the Droid Control ship. What the heck is a Naboo pilot doing in the droid control ship during the battle. Oh yes Mace was on Kashyyyk
-
IMO, chrome would have been nice but not plausible and Obi & Qui Gon will appear in more sets in the future. All the "heroes" always do.

Well I got mine today the poly bag was smaller than I expected and a good quality. However, yes sadly China and Denmark as listed. Hopefully like you said we can assume that the helmet and torso are European plastic. The two most important parts. The legs and arms are minimal but I don't like this whole china plastic Shananagins
-
haha I didn't know that the Bricklink catalog has mislead me. my humble opinion on any new astromech remains unchanged. well said. The new Naboo fighter is average I would have to agree, chrome would have been nice but chrome is more expensive etc, since it was based on the hanger battle the set should have had at least either Obi or Qui Gon or even Padme and a Naboo security guard. also the rumored price of $50 is high but not surprising

I for one am happy 6212 is still in production because I just picked one up last week. I was surprised when I checked LSAH and saw it. I agree with KimT that things have been moving fast for production cycles, happily I didn't miss out on this one. - If it has been discontinued a year or 2 later I would have had to paid presumably much more for a copy on Bricklink. Although it could use a few tweaks and updates I think it looks overall pretty good. As for color it may be grey in the films but I like it in white better. I checked on bricklink and at some point they started adding in the new face Han and Luke etc. I will have to check my copy when I get it. Also I am happy that it has the classic R2 unit the new astromechs are horrendous -
You should have PM'd me this thread, I would have replied and seen this early Thank you very much for doing these! They are excellent I must say. I really appreciate you doing them and going above and beyond by doing the noble and black armor knight, which I think is more fitting for the Black Falcons. Also for everyone else we also discussed doing another foot soldier based on this one however we agreed that simply changing the arms to blue and would work well. I will be applying these as soon as I decide on a medium. Waterslide decals or any suggestions are welcome. There is no hobby stores nearby so I lack proper materials.

Hmm interesting on where the components are made does it say, China? I will check mine when I get it.

I didn't know the White Boba Fett was china plastic, that is a travesty! I would expect for a rare promo fig they would have had the decency not to use china plastic.

Sorry, yes sadly I see that now too, before we actually got good prices like when the days were $100 for a Millennium Falcon, $50 for a Slave 1 and $20 for a TIE. I am not sure if it is inflation, Lucas being greedy, SW luxury license tax, all the new molds, or a combination of the above. $30 for Vader's TIE advanced was pretty reasonable because it had Vader and his nicely designed TIE. I don't think they could put a regular TIE with a regular TIE pilot for $30 but I wouldn't be surprised. Ideas: Ewok Village: $50-100 (depending on size and figs included) I think LEGO missed a point in the upcoming forest set with ewoks and a scout trooper, they should have included an endor luke. Village in the trees, ewoks, C-3PO, Endor Luke, etc Yoda's Hut: $20-30 A larger version, w/o the X-wing, includes swamp training area, old non CW yoda, flesh training luke and maybe R2-D2 to be rescued from wild swamp creatures. I hope in the future since they are doing EP1 sets they will go next to EP2 and then EP3. Tons of possibilities for EP3, Order 66 sets, 501st troopers, correct mustafar set, etc

Macoco's Buying/Selling & Trading Topic

I am not bumping it randomly saying "bump" with the same things over and over again though Should I be posting multiple topics? edited To make this post useful I also am interested in a Black Protocol droid- $15 -
Entry submitted! I had a fun time designing/building. Can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with! Since this is a raffle it is computer generated randomly like other raffles?
-
Looks like I will be the first entry. Yeah Story: We all know Boba Fett as the most deadliest Bounty Hunter in the Galaxy. Well this another one of his many adventures. Greedy and slobberly Jabba is foaming at his mouth to have Han Solo captured. So he hired Boba Fett as we all know. Now before the Cloud City trap (Ackbar should have been there for that one too ) Boba Fett has traced the elusive Solo to the Ice World of Hoth. Now Han was out on his Taun Taun on a scouting expedition with a rebel soldier and K3PO to look for some greens (why K3PO? the same reason C3PO is on the AT-AT Battlefield) Boba Fett ambushes the party in a remote ice field. With him is an imperial snowtrooper to make sure he does as Darth Vader wishes and bring Han as carbon guinea pig. Unfortunately like his dad, Boba Fett has a equipment malfunction rendering his weapons and defensive systems useless. The rebels however are lacking proper arms (Rebel Alliance is poor you know ) They proceed to have an epic snowball fight/war, and even the snowtrooper joins in clobbering Boba. The result is Boba Fett who ends up covered in snow. (I.E that is where a White Boba comes in) First picture: I left all the pictures with a blue hue to capture the icy world of Hoth. Second: (top view to show 16x16) Third: The White Boba Fett is supposed to be placed where the 2x2 round tile is Thank you for donating such great prizes and a fun contest! Have fun everyone!

Macoco's Buying/Selling & Trading Topic
Piranha replied to Piranha's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
UPDATED 3-20-2011 Here is what I want: R2-R7 (new or used excellent) $15 store credit R5-D4 (new or used excellent) $7 store credit R2-D5 (new or used excellent) $15 Store credit -
Also I don't like the new astromechs at all. The dome piece is ugly in bley and all of the new astromechs I have seen are badly misprinted I miss the old part. same goes for the body, less detailed than the first ones. I better jump on getting R2-R7, R2-D5 & R5-D4 they are gone forever now.

Yeah the reasons I didn't suggest a Droid Control ship that is scaled down like an ISD is because that would be highly unlikely. I was going to say the Droid Ship is too big but they did make a Death Star Playset. If they ever did make that scene I really think a playset would be highly plausible like with Home One and other locations. Also there MUST be chrome/silver TC-14 included in it, that is one of the selling points More ideas: TIE Fighter: $20-25 Yes I know it is a rehash but there hasn't been one since 2005 and I never got that one. Also it could be done in the bley color scheme instead of blue and I bet it would sell very well. Figs include TIE Pilot, loading station and Imperial Engineer or Stromtrooper. TIE Interceptor $20-30: Yes I know another rehash but the last one was 2006. Didn't get that one either. Bley color scheme would also sell well. Figs include TIE Pilot. no other extras sadly I can't think of any, another cargo area with engineer? or maybe a super pack that has 2 TIE's and 1 Interceptor. $50-75, but I like the individual idea better. Those two would go along well with our X-wings, Slave 1 and Millennium Falcon. B-wing: $50 Yes another one. B-wing pilot new torso (pilot) in red though. like the 1st edition it should have a rebel control room misc add ons. 2-3 other rebels/figs Y-wing $30-50 Yes another one. Y-wing pilot and astromech Imperial Shuttle: $50 Like Imperial Inspection, however maybe it could be with the rebel boarding/ground party. Yes I know alot of remakes but I missed out on the ones from 2006 and BL prices are alot now
