Whatever happened to the LEGO Legends line?
Piranha replied to Piranha's topic in General LEGO Discussion
You wouldn't happen to have some pics of this would you? I thought about doing this but I ran into one problem. I found most of the parts in the newer greys except that one. I could simply replace the porthole with an all bley panel though. Also making it PF would require the use of this in bley. To match the front otherwise it would look odd in black. -
Maybe the mods could generalize this topic to simple just Ideas for new Train Sets? Some of my ideas: Engines: Sante Fe Super Chief (updated redesign) $50-100 500-1000 parts I think this could either be done as just the engine or with some cars. Updates with newer colors, maybe refine the design a little and add some new engineer minifigs. The cars could again be updated and modded. Super Chief Rail Cars: $40+ Mail, Sleeper etc cars possibly with a few passengers, or this could simply be included with the above set Trackside Structures: Train Engine Shed (updated redesign) $100+ Updated design of the old, new colors, bigger to fit the EN and other engines. Again this would be very popular I think. Train Station: $50+ The most recent one was average I think a larger station would be nice. 4-5 figs. Similar to past great ones. Cars: Octan Tanker: $20 Octan Tanker car w/1 fig Misc Grain or ballast cars : $25+ Reefer Cars: $25+ Where I live there isn't any trains (yet) so I am strapped for ideas about now

Is 10020 Super Chief worth the $200 MISB? (I plan to open & build) I saw the used ones were just 20-$30 cheaper and missing parts so I might as well get the MISB? Is 10027 Train Engine shed worth the $250+ MISB? (no used ones I could find for less) Or is it better to spend the money on the upcoming Cargo Train this fall?

Whatever happened to the LEGO Legends line?
Piranha replied to Piranha's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well you know what they say, takes one to know one Thanks for this very informative reply I didn't know this before. I know understand why they discontinued them. And have changed my viewpoint to use those opportunities for new sets. -
I couldn't find the official topic for this but whatever happened to the LEGO Legends line? I liked it, a second chance to great past sets like BSB, Century Skyway and the Black Falcons Fortress etc. How many of you wouldn't love a chance to buy a Sante Fe Super Chief or a Train Engine Shed or the Airport Shuttle again? I petition that TLG should bring this line back with 1 (or more) Legend release each year. Signed

What are the rewards for the other cards? Is the Port Royal Build just for redeeming one card or all of them? -
Thanks for the review and the file. It looks pretty good, I like how it is modular and the dock is very good. I wonder why one of the rowboats wasn't made into jacks boat like in the old pirate days when there was small rowboats w/canvas? I guess it was because there is no canvas in the two sets But the sinking affect is nice. I also quite like the rock. I hope though TLG decides to do an official model of this set, it would be very good, same concept, a few extra figs Jack's boat (full size) for about $100. But I doubt it since alternate builds I don't know of any that made actual sets later on? So you work for TLG and you designed this alternate model build? That is nice

I assume you are talking about the Port Royal build? If so, great work and thanks! However I would have preferred TLG to make an actual set of it. -
Looking good, I also like the idea of beach area houses, Pool Side Paradise anyone? What set number is the HS House? Are you getting the Marina set? If not a lifeguard tower MOC would be nice w/ATV .

That is awesome, I want your LEGO store Maybe next year!

Thanks for a great review! Just finished building this set myself today. ( No I haven't been working on it since 08 ) It is an absolute beast! I owned the original one but didn't have it handy to compare to but I think this one is easily larger. I wish I had my first edition to compare it to. But this one is terrific! The build was quite good, took me about 2 1/2 hours. I thought there would be numbered bags but nope, I think there should have been but it didn't effect the build for me except adding time to sorting the 1000 + parts. I was skeptical it would need so many parts but it does and is worth it. It is packed with great features, the speeder bike was a fun little end of the instruction book build. Great stand alone. The command center, probe droids and bacta tank are also great. However the bacta tank is very weird and I could not put a clone with a helmet on in it, but I guess they are supposed to have their helmets off if they are in bacta. Overall the ship is very well built and looks quite good when finished. The bay doors are nice and there is plenty of room for troopers, I fit in about 6. (I also managed to shove a BARC speeder in there too instead of the brown speederbike). I think from my memory the first edition was lacking all these great little add ons and features. I didn't apply the stickers but there was plenty and I had hoped for printed parts. Mine didn't have the figs included, but I don't think the selection was that great, the only good ones were Cody and a CW Trooper. Odd that it didn't have any Clone Pilots, but good thing I have extra.

Thanks for the review! Interesting that they named the boat. I voted average for the set. I actually like to fish in real life and so I was expecting alot more of this set. Pros - Classic Shark - 2 Civilian Figs - Fish - it is a boat Cons - Price but usually with boats the hull since it is a single mold not much room for more parts - More of a lake fishing boat to me, on a real fishing vessel the helm would never be in the rear and would be in the front to allow for more fishing room in the back - should have had the new smaller fishing pole - overall design is average and a bit disappointing for me A step in the right direction I hope we see more boats of different sizes like in the Divers line with sharkcages etc

thanks for the review. you have some nice LEGO workers at your store. The ones at mine are jerks so I decided not to buy anything.

Well it is true there are still good deals to be found on ebay. I just won 3 Commander Cody's & 3 Clone Pilots for $10. However they only had the basic clone trooper torso, so I still need 3 Cody Torso's and 3 clone pilot torsos and 5 clone helmets for use on the regular torsos. And oddly one of the torsos is for an original stormtrooper Now I also need a stormtrooper helmet.

Series 3- turned out to be a Hula Dancer, my first

Great work here Others have said that it may not be to scale but I prefer it this way scaled down to system. The Venator and JSF's look quite good next to it. You even managed to include a 501st Trooper I really like it and an ingenious use for the extra crossroad baseplates we might have laying around I am stealing that one if you don't mind I really hope TLG makes a set like or similar to this because along with the Yavin base this is actually a building/location where they could do a really good job, however I hope for an EP3 one with Anakin and EP3 501st Clones

Welcome, you are off to a great start, you are getting all the good train sets etc What is the tally so far? Got any Sante fe Cars? BNSF and TTX trailer? The Train Engine Shed is brilliant (but is very high priced) and the Metroliner! That is a classic and IMO the best passenger train to date, the details on the inside will surprise you for sure I have to work on my Train collection more, there are too many themes and too little time

Looking better & better, I hope it stays like that and at the $150 or cheaper price Anyone notice the 9V track? 3 trailers, Engine, Truck, Grain loader or so and track + PF for $150 is pretty good
