LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion
Piranha replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Just curious to people who purchase/find the robot, what do you plan to use it for? -
They do make transparent minifig heads that seem sturdy, I am sure if they truly wanted to make a transparent minifig for lets take another example Jedi Ghosts they could if they wanted. There was a transparent horse piece a prototype but that was a very long time ago. So possibly but not likely as for all the testing and development. I find that reason the same as for Monorail Track and Cypress Trees. But I would like to see Ninja vs Samurai anyone? or Pirates would be nice.

I would guess Black Friday or the next D2C Train set release date.

Last time I checked Brickset it was over 500.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion

I was disappointed to find that the Musketeer's (S4) Rapier didn't fit in the scabbard due to the little "ball" at the end. -
Well I like it, nice job I would like to see it behind a BNSF for all that ORANGE-Y goodness. Now if only LEGO could make a rolling stock like this and we can have a orange juice truck to go with it oh and a grocery store.

I follow this method Purchase -> Build -> Enjoy for no set period of time -> dismantle and organize back into original box using zipper bags -> Make room for new LEGO sets Then I repeat the cycle

oh I like that printed milk cartoon.

Old style stylized creatures and animals versus newer versions
Piranha replied to Calabar's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Good poll and topic. For me, I like them all and I voted they are both the same for me. Although the first images are technically customs by Brickforge followed by TLG official versions. The TLG versions I think have a much better feel and fit in better. The horse is a beautiful mold still to me and probably my favorite of the animal molds and the new ones coming out are great complimentary horses. What about larger non single molded animals though like the elephants or dewback that use quite a few pieces or what about the dinosaurs from the new Dino theme? Well here in this area I tend to go back to the ones that fit in the best with minifigs and the feel of LEGO. The elephants I think were great. The POP Camel also fits in nicely. The ostrich seemed a bit Duplo to me though. Another good example is the polar bear and the new grizzly bear, I like the detail of the grizzly bear but I also like the simplicity of the polar bear. This topic is similar to the discussion about the detail level of minifigs and we are seeing the same trend in animals in the sets like the dog, grizzly bear, shark etc. As time goes by we will get more and more interesting and precise details that is just how it is. -
I don't think they will discontinue City as I think it is one of the longest running themes. I hope they go into the Forest more with a lake resort civilian set.

Here are my ideas: Western: Just imagine this done in modern building techniques and colors. There could be four main factions, Civilians, Army, Bandits and Tribal Hunters. Just some ideas; Sheriff Office and Jail, Saloon, Bank, Outpost, Train and station, rocky caverns and so much more. Vikings: No fantasy elements included this time, just pure Vikings and their raiding equipment and the rivals are villagers and each other. We could get more peasant homes and farms and taverns and all that good stuff. Three Musketeers: Now I really would love to see this happen. So many possibilities and a new original concept never done by TLG yet. Ancient Greece: No fantasy or Greek mythology, just Greeks against whatever others TLG wants to include. Pirates: Pirates III to make a comeback after POTC is over, that is a no brainer. Feudal Japan: Ninja, Samurai, Sumo, Kimono girl, civilians, different buildings and gardens and marketplaces.

Yeah I am on the fence too, one wave themes allow for us to get alot of new concepts every year. But then if the concepts are great then we don't have a chance for future waves or for the story to continue.

A great combination of two great civilian sets.

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
Piranha replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Excellent update! The trees are great and I love the rock faces. -
additional coverage

The real beauty is now we can use either horse mold depending on the situation.
-
Well at least I remembered the "middle" part. Thanks for the clarification.
-
All right I will give you that one, you are now our official vigilant Easter Egg zapper.
-
Another one, in the Alpha Team sets the main villain was a character called Ogel, which is LEGO spelled backwards.
-
yeah a mobile version wouldn't be great.

I really like these, I think this is a great idea, maybe you could do other CM figs from the different series in little "vigs" related to space
