  1. I think I am now on the fence with the new horses.
  2. Indeed some nice coverage already. I didn't spot the hospital set though. The new mining sets are alright I suppose, after "Power Miners" I thought "realistic" mining wouldn't be visited.
  3. The boxes were shown indeed it looks like, but alas none of the figs themselves. I wonder what it says on the display card?
  4. Or we could always work on the portable scanning device idea again.
  5. I seemed to have missed the pictures.
  6. Thank you WhiteFang for another great review. I counted how many minifig's I liked from each series to determine the best series so far, for me at least. Series 1: 12/16 Series 2: 14/16 Series 3: 12/16 Series 4: 12/16 Series 5: 12/16 Series 6: 8/16 Series 7: 8/16 In conclusion Series 2 had the greatest amount of minifig's that I liked, therefore that was the best series so far for me.
  7. I completely agree. The Emerald Night was appealing because of that clever gear box and the driver train. It was very cool to see it move around the track, it lasted for a long time on the market. However I never really liked the minifigs, two of them didn't have a torso print. Whatever happened to the days of the Metroliner when we would have over 10+ minifigs and accessories and play features galore? That set I feel is the best passenger train thus produced by LEGO, the interior was brilliant and all the goodies that were included made it even better. I also agree that more stand alone sets should be produced.
  8. Welcome back and welcome to Eurobricks! I would recommend visiting BrickLink, which is a large online LEGO marketplace that has virtually almost every LEGO related item produced. It is fairly easy to navigate and is a great database, but the best part is the overall selection of sets and parts available for purchase. You will find minifigs, sets and anything else you need. As for sets, I too loved Classic Space and if you are looking at picking up some of those sets, then BrickLink is great for finding and purchasing those. Galaxy Explorer is probably my favorite set of that line. Some other space themes that I liked were Black-Tron and M-Tron which have some cool sets. And not to mention the two official space monorails produced by LEGO. The recent space themes are getting really good such as Space Police III and Alien Conquest which have some brilliant set designs and minifigs. Also if you haven't seen them yet, there is the Collectible Minifigure Series. Among them are many sci-fi minifigs, all of them are completely new designs not seen before. You can browse them here. I love using them to compliment existing and past themes.
  9. Thank you Def for providing us with a brilliant review of this set. I would rate this set at a solid 3.5/5. The "Batmobile" model in this set I prefer over the previous version from set 7781, which I always felt was too long. However, my personal favorite rendition of Batman's personal ride would have to be the Bat-Tumbler, which I do hope they decide to remake as well. The small bank I find is nice and I am happy they put a civilian aspect in this set, perhaps we will be seeing more of this in future sets. The parts selection overall is good, I really like the flame pieces. As for the minifig's, well I am not a fan of the purple and orange used for Two-Face but I understand why they used it. Batman is a nice minifig, but I do prefer the SDCC version, which I believe was inspired by the recent films.
  10. Well, today it is back at running blazing fast. I did suspect that perhaps when there are large numbers of users browsing the site it slows down, but right now I see more or less the same amount. I guess it could have been a number of things, probably something on the user end.
  11. I save up too, just make sure two years don't go by and then they expire.
  12. Yes I did try a fix regarding my internet but it has never acted like this before (EB ), I did reset my connection but no improvement at all happened leading me to think it is the forum. It isn't just on the board index, anything related to EB is painfully slow, front page, topics, specific forums, logging in and out, everything. All other sites like BL or any other internet sites are loading fast and normal for me.
  13. I would imagine a fig could grip it like the ring from LOTR or a 1x1 round stud. Solid top design and then the center is hollow.
  14. I wonder if the Series 8 are going to be shown at Sunday's NY Toy Fair?
  15. Looks much better with the baseplates. Great job and I can't wait for more updates.
  16. Just throwing it out there in case a set designer is reading this.
  17. I always had wished they had made those in chrome gold. In a future set I would also like to see throwing stars (shiruken ?), but not soft plastic, hard plastic like 4L blades are made of.
  18. Thanks for all the times you helped this forum and kept it neat and tidy, we will miss you. But since your still around you can keep giving us more awesome MOC's to stare at.
  19. Agreed, I want it all in 1080p HD, LOTR, Super Heroes, TDK, SW, City, Exclusives, CM S8, everything.
  20. I voted for MMV. Legendary set on par with the Galaxy Explorer, Airport Shuttle and Black Seas Barracuda.
  21. Is anyone else experiencing this? In the past few days the index has been extremely slow on me to load, sometimes abnormally long wait times. I have never experienced this before?
  22. Thanks for the pictures and video! Jabba's Palace is much better than it looked from the blurry prelims, I like the construction and TLG did do a good job considering the overall scale of Jabba's Palace to produce a good model. Now for the Cantina. Boba Fett does indeed have printed legs , I only hope they give him printed arms too. His blaster might be a new mold but it does look like a hilt and a blaster connected. The gungan sub is also a nice set I owned the first one that was my first SW set and this is a great update and includes the queen.
  23. A new Train Engine shed would be most welcome in this off year.
  24. Yeah I have to agree with this assessment also going to add this in for discussion as well. Refreshed City sets from the past possibly?
  25. From set 3346 or set 3346 itself or just a green ninja. Anyone got? PM me.
