I'm just curious, does Angelica have a double sided face?

I'm just curious about these new pearl gold coins. Are they in every set? Or are they inconsistant throughout the line, like the cardboard backing for the instructions? It's just that I've seen pics from this review that shows the coins as the original chrome versions, but the review of the London Escape set have them as the new coins. Are they just not in all the sets? I really bhope I get some, as I think they will be neat to have.

May I just ask, what would a native need to do with gold? Trade it with another native for some different looking gold? I would have to say I'm a pirate. Not the kind that is a merciless killer and plunderer, but more the bumbling kind, the one who pretends like he knows what he's doing but really doesn't, and tries to cover it up with trying to look cool, even though he just looks like an idiot. If those sorts of pirates exist... well... that'd be me!

On monday I ordered Isla de Muerta from shop@home! So excited. Hopefully it will be here tomorrow, if not, I'll have to wait for the four day weekend, since the mail doesn't go during the weekends. I really hope it gets here tomorrow!

It would be possible for the quartermaster zombie to be in this set, but I like that he is rare. Also, it is kinda nice to get more of the normal zombie crewman, because then you can kinda build up and 'army' of sorts. Anyway, great review! I really like this set, and I plan to get it, but after the new film has come out. I know a lot of the spoilers are already out and about, but I would like to know the whole story before I get the new sets. I love the new globe piece, though! Just gorgeous!

Great review! I'm just curious, the pieces that the main roof of the Capn's Daughter is being tilted on, are they new? They look like the regular tilty piece, only 3x2 instead of the normal 2x2 or 2x1. Are they new?

I would probably say either the Capn's Cabin or Isla de Muerta. In the Cabin set, you get Jack (awesome), the new zombies, the new ship in a bottle, globe, the charts, and one scabbard. In the Isla de Muerta set, you get two scabbards, two Barbossa hats, the new female hairpiece, the new gold bars, and a whole new skeleton figure. Either way, your getting a pretty nice seletion of new pieces, plus some useful older ones, such as pirates swords and pistols, and a rowboat. It's really what you are looking for more.

Those grey things around Blackbeard's black beard ( ) are lit canon fuses. The real Captain would put lit canon fuses in his beard to intimidate his enemies. I think I might have mentioned this somewhere else, but I don't remember where.

I have really mixed feelings about those new coins. I mean, I understand LEGO not going down the chrome road with those gold bars, seeing as they are much larger than the coins. But cheaping out and not doing something they have done for years in the past just kinda bricks me off. However, I kinda like the new coins at the same time (I know, right! ), because it can kinda give some variety to your treasure, as if your pirates have been a lot of places, and some coins are lesser quality than others, but they take 'em anyway. Also, these coins (at least for me) will only be used as the cursed treasure of Cortez, so it is suitable for them to look differently from the rest of the plunder. I'm just upset that they leave them all as 10 gold instead of the usual! (I have, over the years, accumulated over 600 in LEGO gold, plus a lot of gems and jewels, as well as other rare gold objects)

I am so happy that the sets are out on shop@home. Too much excitement? I'm gonna order he Isla de Muerta! Also, has anyone else had the problem of the 'more views' and 'zoom' not working? When I try to zoom, it just sits there with this wheel just going around, and nothing pops up. Is there a reason for this?

The Depp Tax! I'm really excited for this set. It is probably my favourite of the whole line! With two scabbards, two Barbossa's, Jack, and the only Elizabeth so far, plus a nice amount of accesories, and a boat, for $24.99 CAD, this is a pretty good deal to me. Barbossa just kicks bricks!

When you say that the helmet has been replaced by light grey, does that mean that it is not silver, but actually grey, cause that colour for that helmet hasn't happened in a long time.

This is truly fantastic! I love the amount of red guys, but all their hats are on fire! It really reminds of one of the scenes from the old Disney Three Musketeers movie. Great work!

I was just thinking, if you took the newly revealed polybag with Jack and somehow combined it with the other little ship one, you could make a pretty nice little dingy. I think it could work really well.

Wow, that little dingy is just great. The set itself isn't that impressive, but it is a great cheap way to get Jack with his hat and coat. Also, this will lower the price of the Cpn. Jack fig down a lot on BL.

Hey, nice work making the Cannibal Escape set into a SW one! It fits perfectly! Just curious, what other set did you get? Cause if its one we don't have a review for yet, that would be nice if you made one.

These are great! Now Unduli actually fits in with her padawan. Just curious, if you didn't use decals, how did you do this? (unless you did use decals and I'm just a complete noob )

Ya, and the proof is in the pirates! The new Blackbeard hat, as I've said before, looks nthing like his hat in the new movie. His hat piece looks exactly like Davy Jones's hat. His release as a minifig is inevitable. Now I just hope they release him as he is in the game, instead of cahnging the design (besides the claw hand, which might get replaced by the new Atlantis piece).
